Meet Notre Dame’s Top Ranked 2025 Recruiting Class

What must the Irish still add to make this class great?

It’s early in the 2025 recruiting cycle still but recruiting for Notre Dame tends to play out a lot like a quote from New York Yankees legend Yogi Berra:

“It’s getting late early out there.”

When it comes to football recruiting Notre Dame is a team that tends to start hot and then usually have to hold on to secure a high ranking.  They’re rarely if ever a program that soars up the rankings late in the process.

That’s why it’s so important that Notre Dame gets off to hot starts in recruiting and that is something they’ve certainly done to date with the 2025 recruiting class.

Notre Dame now has 16 commitments in the class which gives them the top ranking according to both 247Sports and Rivals.

Below are the currently committed 16 members of Notre Dame’s 2025 recruiting class and a little about each player.

Please note: Prospects are listed according to their public commitment dates

Notre Dame trending to add 2025 North Carolina safety

The Irish look to continue to add to their No. 1 ranked 2025 class

If you didn’t know, Notre Dame 2025 safety target [autotag]JaDon Blair[/autotag] will make an official visit to South Bend in early June.

While that is great news, there is even better. 247Sports Irish insider Tom Loy logged a crystal ball pick for Notre Dame to eventually land the 6-foot, 4-inch and 190-pound safety. It’s the only current selection in his recruitment.

Blair fits the mold of prospects that the Irish go after at the position: long, and athletic. He also happens to be one of the best players in the country, ranking as the No. 13 safety and 147th overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Notre Dame currently has [autotag]Ivan Taylor[/autotag] and [autotag]Ethan Long[/autotag] committed at the position, but would welcome in Blair with open arms.

Notre Dame Stays Hot in Recruiting – Lands East Coast Safety

There is still almost a year until the early signing period but Notre Dame already has 13 commitments. Find out about the latest one here!

Notre Dame added to their currently top-ranked 2025 recruiting class just hours before the national championship game Monday when they received a commitment from safety Ethan Long of Connecticut.

Long checks in at 6-2, 185-pounds and chose Notre Dame over some big-time programs such as Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and plenty of others.

Long shared the following with 247Sports in regard to his commitment:

“You don’t choose Notre Dame, Notre Dame chooses you,” said Long to 247Sports ahead of his commitment. “I feel like I’m at home every time I step on that campus. My heart has been telling me that this is it. God has guided me. Freeman, O’Leary and Golden are building something special and they want me a part of it and that’s all I can ask for.”

The 247Sports composite rankings list Long as a four-star prospect and the No. 317 overall player in the class.  He joins four-star Ivan Taylor of Florida as safeties in Notre Dame’s 2025 recruiting class that now has 13 members.

Notre Dame offers 2025 Connecticut defensive back

The Irish offer another long member of the secondary

[autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] football is continuing their trend of looking for long, athletic defensive backs to roam their secondary.

They have found yet another one in Connecticut’s [autotag]Ethan Long[/autotag]. The 2025 prospect stands 6-foot, 2-inches and weighs 190 pounds, currently doesn’t hold a ranking on 247Sports composite.

What he does hold now is an offer from Notre Dame, as the Irish joined the group that has offered Long a scholarship. He took a visit to South Bend in April and although he didn’t land an offer then, it finally has come.

Long’s recruitment has really started to pick up steam in the last week, grabbing offers from Maryland, Michigan State and Michigan.
