Fan-favorite Chiefs WR announces engagement

#Chiefs WR Nikko Remigio announced his engagement this week ahead of Kansas City’s Week 7 matchup against the San Francisco #49ers.

According to a social media post by Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Nikko Remigio, the former Fresno State Bulldog is getting engaged to girlfriend Maureen Schrijvers.

The fan-favorite wideout announced his engagement via Instagram on Tuesday with the caption “We did the thing” after popping the question on a beach during sunset.

Several Chiefs teammates, including wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Rashee Rice, congratulated Remigio on the exciting news.

The second-year receiver was a training camp standout in St. Joseph and may get a chance to see the field in Kansas City during the regular season if he is elevated from the Chiefs’ practice squad.

Though Remigio hasn’t yet gotten his chance to shine in Kansas City’s offense, injuries to Rashee Rice and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown could push him into the limelight.

Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster announces engagement

#Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster announced his engagement in a post to Instagram this week.

According to a recent social media post by Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, the former USC Trojan is getting engaged to his long-time girlfriend Laura Kruk.

The veteran receiver announced his engagement via Instagram on Wednesday with the caption “I thank God every day for you. Now & Forever đź’Ť,” after popping the question on a yacht off the coast of Nantucket Island in Massachusetts.

Several of his Chiefs’ teammates, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, commented on Smith-Schuster’s post, congratulating him on his engagement.

Smith-Schuster has had a whirlwind year after being cut by the New England Patriots earlier this year before being picked up by the Chiefs last month.

After returning to the reigning Super Bowl champions and getting engaged, the veteran is presumably on cloud nine and could work his way into Kansas City’s offensive game plan against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 on Sunday.

Matt Fitzpatrick announces engagement to girlfriend Katherine Gall

Congrats to Matt and Katherine!

It’s been a special couple years for Matt Fitzpatrick.

He had his signature win last June when he captured the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club at Brookline. He added another victory in a three-hole playoff this year in Hilton Head, beating then-defending champion Jordan Spieth at the RBC Heritage in April. Later this month, he’ll represent Team Europe in the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone outside Rome.

But first, Fitzpatrick had some other hardware to take care off.

Fitspatrick announced Saturday he and his girlfriend, Katherine Gall, were engaged. The couple posted photos from Bay Head, New Jersey, announcing their engagement.

Patrick Cantlay announces engagement to girlfriend Nikki Guidish

Congrats to Patrick and Nikki.

Patrick Cantlay has been a busy man the past month.

He successfully defended his title at the BMW Championship at Wilmington Country Club in the penultimate event of the PGA Tour’s 2021-22 season. He wrapped up his eighth season on Tour with a T-7 at the Tour Championship, and he finished with two wins on the season.

Yet his biggest victory didn’t come on the course.

Cantlay and his girlfriend, Nikki Guidish, announced their engagement on social media Monday. Cantlay popped the question in Napa, California, where the couple was on vacation along with Cantlay’s good friend Xander Schauffele and his wife, Maya.

In 20 starts on the PGA Tour last season, Cantlay recorded 12 top-10 finishes and earned $9,369,605, missing only two cuts. He and Schauffele will be back in action in two weeks at the Presidents Cup in Charlotte at Quail Hollow Club.

Golf legend Tom Watson engaged to marry former CBS Sports executive LeslieAnne Wade

The couple have known each other for 15 years and plan to marry on July 9.

Golf legend Tom Watson is engaged to marry a longtime CBS Sports executive. The eight-time major champion became formally engaged to LeslieAnne Wade on May 7 while on a visit to the University of Notre Dame, where Ms. Wade was attending a reunion with her college roommates.

The couple plans to marry on July 9 in New Jersey before traveling to the Open Championship in St. Andrews. Ms. Wade confirmed the engagement and wedding date to Golfweek but declined further comment. The pair have known each other for 15 years.

Watson, 72, is a Hall of Famer and 39-time winner on the PGA Tour. His eight major titles include five Open victories, two Masters and a U.S. Open. His late wife, Hilary, died after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer in 2019.

Ms. Wade has been a widely respected fixture in the golf world for decades. She served as a Senior Vice President of Communications at CBS Sports and currently works with the Endeavor agency and for White Tee Partners, a women-owned marketing agency she co-founded. Her first marriage ended in divorce some years ago.

Watson retired from competitive golf in 2019 after an almost 50-year career during which he won 70 titles and twice captained the United States in the Ryder Cup.

Bud Cauley announces his Christmas engagement

Bud Cauley and Cameron Champ both shared the happy news of their engagements on Instagram.

It’s the season of giving – and getting engaged.

Bud Cauley is the latest Tour pro to pop the question. In an Instagram post from Dec. 25, Cauley announced, “she said yes!”

His fiancee was tagged as Kristi McDonald by fellow Tour player and good friend, Rickie Fowler. Cauley made a strong recovery on Tour last season after suffering multiple injuries in a serious car crash in 2018. In 2019, he finished T-9 at the Memorial, the tournament he played in during the week of the crash the previous year. The 29-year-old is No. 169 in the OWGR.

Cauley’s engagement came a couple weeks after Cameron Champ posted the news on Instagram of his recent engagement along with a few photos of his holiday themed proposal.

“It’s OFFICIAL!!” Champ wrote along with photos of the proposal. “You’re the woman of my dreams, my best friend, and my biggest supporter! I wouldn’t want to spend my life with anyone else but you!”

Champ didn’t identify his fiancee in the post.  And while she is frequently featured in his Instagram photos, her Instagram account is never tagged.

Champ, who played golf at Texas A&M, won the Safeway Open in September.
