We’re looking at five early position battles to watch during the Philadelphia Eagles training camp

We’re one month away fron the start of Eagles training camp and the reigning NFC Champions will head to the NovaCare Complex with a stacked roster.

With so much star power, the real camp intrigue will center around five camp battles that could shakeup the 53-man roster.

Predicting the Eagles’ 16-player practice squad for 2023 after OTAs

We’re taking an early look at predicting the Philadelphia Eagles 16-man practice squad after OTAs and ahead of training camp

The Eagles have concluded OTAs, and they’ll break until late July and then report for training camp as they work to shred a 90-man roster down to 53.

Howie Roseman has been open about building the roster with undrafted free agents, and the 2023 class had several big-named stars holding second-day draft grades.

Philadelphia officially welcomed seven new members to their roster with their 2023 NFL draft class, and the wealth of young talent signed to the training camp roster won’t be reduced to just that group of players.

One week after the draft, the team announced the signings of 9 undrafted rookies ahead of the minicamp.

Recent undrafted free agents who’ve had game action with Philadelphia include Reed Blankenship, Britain Covey, Josh Jobe, Corey Clement, Sua Opeta, Nate Herbig, Kayode Awosika, Joe Ostman, Jack Stoll, Brett Toth, Greg Ward, Marvin Wilson, T.J. Edwards, and future Hall of Famer Jason Peters, who originally signed with the Bills.

We previously released our updated 53-man roster predictions, and with training camp fast approaching, we’re predicting Philadelphia’s 16-man practice.

Eagles’ 2023 training camp preview: Looking at the tight end position

We’re taking an early look at the Philadelphia Eagles’ tight end position after OTAs and ahead of training camp

The Eagles have star power at every offensive position, and tight end is no different, with Dallas Goedert sitting on the brink of All-Pro status.

Still, Philadelphia loves to employ a ton of 12 personnel and offensive coordinator Brian Johnson will undoubtedly look for an upgrade in production at the No. 2 tight end spot.

With training camp fast approaching, here’s a training camp preview of the Eagles’ tight end position.

Jalen Hurts joins growing list of Eagles excited about Quez Watkins ahead of training camp

Jalen Hurts and other Eagles have spent the offseason praising Quez Watkins for his improvement

Quez Watkins admitted that 2022 was a down year, but with a contract decision looming and competition from Olamide Zaccheaus, the former Southern Miss wideout has spent the offseason working on his game.

Watkins had 33 catches for 354 yards and three touchdowns but was responsible for some costly drops and not fighting for 50/50 balls that turned into interceptions during the Week 16 loss to the Cowboys.

During the final week of OTAs, head coach Nick Sirianni praised Watkins, and on the last day of work, Jalen Hurts did as well.

Even with a dynamic duo on the outside and Dallas Goedert at tight end, Watkins will look to replicate his numbers from the 2021 season when he had 43 catches for 647 yards, averaging 15.7 yards per catch.
