There have been 20 other players that have worn the No. 44 before Webb. Let’s take a look at every Patriots player that has worn the number throughout franchise history (via Pro Football Reference).

We’re taking an early look at the Philadelphia Eagles’ tight end position after OTAs and ahead of training camp

The Eagles have star power at every offensive position, and tight end is no different, with Dallas Goedert sitting on the brink of All-Pro status.

Still, Philadelphia loves to employ a ton of 12 personnel and offensive coordinator Brian Johnson will undoubtedly look for an upgrade in production at the No. 2 tight end spot.

Patriots salary cap: Tracking New England’s $18 million in dead money

Here’s where the Patriots’ dead money situation stands ahead of the 2023 season.

The New England Patriots have made it past June 1, which means the team’s salary will be less impacted by any trades or contract releases for the 2023 season.

When it comes to dead money, the Patriots are sitting at the middle of the pack in the NFL, mostly due to all of the money they had tied up in former tight end Jonnu Smith’s contract.

Dead cap is money or any guaranteed salary still being paid to players that were moved from the roster. The Patriots are currently sitting at $18,174,272 in dead money, per Over The Cap.

The Eagles have star power at every offensive position, and tight end is no different, with Dallas Goedert sitting on the brink of All-Pro status.

Still, Philadelphia loves to employ a ton of 12 personnel, and there’s been some discussion about the Birds potentially looking for an upgrade at the No. 2 tight end spot.

The Birds are unlikely to spend salary on a free-agent tight end but could look for an upgrade at some point in the draft.

With selection day fast approaching, here’s an early offseason look at the Eagles’ tight end position.

Philadelphia Eagles: 7 biggest questions entering the 2023 NFL offseason

We’re looking at the 7 biggest questions for the Philadelphia Eagles entering the 2023 NFL offseason

With the Super Bowl in the rearview mirror, the Eagles and 31 other NFL teams will start the process of financially retooling with the goal of advancing to the postseason.

Between the 2023 NFL draft, free agency, and more, Philadelphia will look to acquire the pieces needed for a return trip to the postseason.

With the NFL offseason now in full swing, here are the seven biggest questions the Eagles need to answer.

Eagles have 13 players make the PFF Top 101 players of 2022

Pro Football Focus released their top 101 players of 2022 and the Philadelphia Eagles had 13 players make the list

The 2023 NFL offseason has begun and as the Eagles and 31 other teams start preparing for the NFL scouting combine, Pro Football Focus released their annual 101 best players from the 2022 season.

Here is the criteria from PFF.

• This list is based solely on play in 2022. Past or future play is not accounted for. This isn’t about class or talent; it’s about performance throughout the 2022 NFL season.

• This list is created with an “all positions are created equal” mantra. So, you won’t see 32 quarterbacks heading the list, even though that is the game’s most valuable position. Instead, we take a look at how guys played relative to what is expected from their position.

• Unlike PFF’s awards, the 101 factors in the postseason, so some players who won PFF awards may find themselves jumped in the 101 by rivals who had a playoff run worthy of a change in ranking.

Looking to avoid any conflict with the NFL Network’s Top 100 players list, Sam Monson of PFF utilized both film and analytical data to rank the 101 best players from the 2022 season and Philadelphia led the charge with 13 players.

Broncos add tight end to practice squad, make decision at long snapper

The Broncos signed TE Dalton Keene to their practice squad and cut LS Joe Fortunato. That means Mitchell Fraboni will snap this week.

The Denver Broncos made two practice squad moves on Saturday.

First, the Broncos signed second-year tight end Dalton Keene, who was selected by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft out of Virginia Tech.

Keene (6-4, 251 pounds) wasn’t able to live up to his high draft status with the Patriots, playing in just six games as a rookie before missing the entire 2021 season with a knee injury.

After failing to make New England’s 53-man roster this summer, Keene spent time on the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles.

In six career games, Keene has hauled in three receptions for 16 yards. He will now give the Broncos some more depth at tight end.

To make room for Keene on the 16-player practice squad, Denver made a second move and released long snapper Joe Fortunato.

Fortunato just signed earlier this week after the team lost Jacob Bobenmoyer to a hand/wrist injury. The Broncos also signed long snapper Mitchell Fraboni, who is now set to replace Bobenmoyer for the next three games.
