Lonergan is rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 6 quarterback prospect in his class. Lonergan plays high school football extremely close to Athens, Georgia, at Brookwood High School. In addition to football, Lonergan also plays high school baseball at an elite level. He has potential to play college or pro baseball.

In fact, Lonergan plays in the same town (Snellville, Georgia) as Georgia Bulldogs legends David Pollack and David Greene. Lonergan would love to have as successful of a college football career as David Greene, who is one of the winningest quarterbacks in college football history.

The four-star, 6-foot-1 quarterback has received scholarship offers from top schools across the country.

Lonergan ranks Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Penn State, South Carolina, Ohio State, Auburn, LSU, and Mississippi State among his top schools. Lonergan states that his recruitment is still open.

Will Dylan Lonergan pick football or baseball? He may not have to decide if he wants to play both in college, but that would give him quite a busy schedule.

Alabama lands in the top 10 for the class of 2023 four-star QB!

Alabama is dominating the 2022 recruiting class, where they currently sit at number two in the country behind Penn State according to 247 Composite rankings.

Head coach Nick Saban and the rest of the staff in Tuscaloosa have also started on the class of 2023. Earlier today four-star QB Dylan Lonergan released his top 10 via Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Along with Alabama, the Snellville, GA native included Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Penn State, South Carolina, Ohio State, Auburn, LSU, and Mississippi State.

Lonergan is also a coveted baseball prospect and wants to play both football and baseball at the next level.

Lonergan’s father Dan Lonergan played QB at Penn State in the early 1980s where he served as the backup to Todd Blackledge on the 1982 National Championship team.
