PFF: Chris Lindstrom, Drew Dalman were top-rated Falcons in Week 11

PFF: Falcons guard Chris Lindstrom (95.5) and center Drew Dalman (86.4) earned the team’s highest grades in Week 11

The Atlanta Falcons scratched and clawed their way to a 27-24 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 11, and just as many expected, Sunday’s game was won in the trenches.

The Falcons offense didn’t allow a single sack, while the defense brought down Bears QB Justin Fields four times on Sunday. It was an encouraging performance, especially for Atlanta’s offensive line. Pro Football Focus released its Week 11 grades and four offensive linemen finished in the top five.

Right guard Chris Lindstrom (95.5) and center Drew Dalman (86.4) earned the team’s highest overall grades. Here are PFF’s 20 highest-rated Falcons from Week 11.

Falcons sign two more members of 2021 draft class

On Thursday, the team signed two more members of the class, inking fourth-round picks Drew Dalman and Darren Hall.

The Atlanta Falcons signed five of their nine selections from the 2021 NFL draft earlier in the week. On Thursday, the team got deals done with two more members of the class, inking both fourth-round picks Drew Dalman and Darren Hall.

Dalman, a center at Stanford, should help the Falcons transition from veteran Alex Mack, who left for San Francisco in the offseason. Matt Hennessy also figures to be in the mix, but Dalman will bring some much-needed competition to the center position.

Hall is defensive back from San Diego State. While some NFL analysts felt he was somewhat of a reach in the fourth round, the big-bodied corner should compete for time at a position of need. Outside of A.J. Terrell as the No. 1 CB, the Falcons have plenty of question marks in the secondary.

Atlanta still needs to sign first-round pick Kyle Pitts and second-rounder Richie Grant. With the cap space created from the Julio Jones trade, the team should be finalizing deals with their two remaining rookies any day now.

Center prospects for Cowboys to consider in each round of 2021 draft

Tim Lettiero reviews seven centers who look to battle for a starting or roster spot in each round in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft.

Travis Frederick’s retirement was a roster travesty, to say the least. One of the most underappreciated players of this generation, he left the Dallas Cowboys with a massive hole right through the heart of the offensive line. While trustworthy Joe Looney stepped in for a bit and did his job, the Cowboys looked elsewhere, drafting Tyler Biadasz in the fourth round of the 2020 draft. Biadasz was solid in the starts he was given but it’s unlikely he’ll be able to live up to the hype of fellow former Wisconsin Badger.

Depending on how the staff viewed Biadasz’ limited reps, there is potential for a new starting center or simply some competition in the near future. Here are some options worth a look in each round of the upcoming draft:

Browns full mock draft v5.0: The trade up scenario

In the last edition of the Browns Wire full 2021 mock draft, we explored the concept of trading back from the No. 26 spot and acquiring more picks. This time, we go in the other direction.

Trading up requires two things: a specific target to go after and a team willing to move back for a reasonable price. With that in mind, I picked out two potential targets that should appeal to the Browns but don’t figure to be available when they pick at 26. I’m not willing to mortgage much in the future to move way up, nor do I expect GM Andrew Berry to do that either.

The two targets I zeroed in on were Michigan EDGE Kwity Paye and South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn. Using three different mock draft simulators (The Draft Network, Pro Football Focus and Fanspeak), I ran several mocks to get a good feel for where those players generally project.

Now to the move up…

Pro Day preview for March 18: Potential Giants targets

A quick breakdown of the Pro Days being held on March 18 and who the New York Giants may be scouting at each.

The college pro days continue on Thursday with eight schools holding workouts featuring their draft-eligible players. One school – Louisiana-Monroe – did not have any players rated by any of the top draft sites although they had one invited to the Combine in RB Josh Johnson.

Here’s the schedule and some possible players the New York Giants could be targeting.
