Aaron Donald of Rams cuts ties with Kanye West’s Donda Sports

Aaron Donald cuts ties with Kanye West and Donda Sports

One of the biggest names in sports associated with Kanye West’s Donda Sports has cut ties with the organization.

The controversial rapper made antisemitic comments and Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams will not be part of such rhetoric.

Per the social media account of Aaron and Erica Donald:

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics also is disassociating himself from West. Earlier Tuesday, Adidas cut ties with him, too.

Nets star Kyrie Irving rumored to join Kanye West’s Donda Sports

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving is reportedly signing with Kanye West’s Donda Sports, according to an Alabama reporter.

There are some light murmurs that superstar Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets will be the next athlete to join Donda Sports.

Softball beat writer Brett Greenberg of Tuscaloosa News reported on Twitter that Irving would be signing with Donda Sports.

Irving’s stepmother Shetellia Riley currently handles the ball handler’s career as his agent.

Greenberg notes that Donda Sports offers marketing services that the likes of Aaron Donald and Jaylen Brown have signed on for, meaning Irving’s step-mother could continue to represent him.

Reddit chatter began after a user posted the Irving-Donda Sports deal days ago. The user has reportedly leaked Kanye West news in the past including the song True Love and the planned and canceled Donda 2 LP2 project in Houston.

Considering the fact that Irving is up for an extension and is expected to remain in Brooklyn, this is a big move. It will be interesting to see how he and the Nets will handle this now going forward into negotiations.

Aaron Donald explains why he signed with Kanye’s Donda Sports

Aaron Donald signed with Kanye West’s Donda Sports, hoping to open doors for things he wants to do outside of football

Aaron Donald is one of the biggest stars in the NFL, and now he’s partnering with one of the most well-known celebrities in the entertainment industry. Donald revealed on the “I Am Athlete” podcast that he’s signed with Kanye West’s Donda Sports.

Donda Sports is a marketing agency, so this won’t change who Donald is represented by when it comes to contract negotiations. It’s more about off-the-field opportunities for the Rams star.

“It was an opportunity that came to us, me and (my wife), and it made sense,” he said. “And hearing the whole spectrum of everything that’s going on and what they were going to be bringing, the family atmosphere that they got in Donda Sports. Not just me, but my wife being a part of that. For me, it was a no-brainer.”

Donald is still expected to return to the Rams in 2022 despite a contract extension not yet being done, but he’s preparing for his future after football by making this move. He hopes it’ll open up doors for him with opportunities he wants to take advantage of off the field.

“I think it’s a hell of an opportunity to open up a lot of different doors and a lot of different things outside of football that I wanna be involved in, I wanna do, that my wife wanna do,” he continued. “So, to be a part of that, and be one of the best first athletes to be a part of that, it’s pretty dope. We’re excited about it, and we’re gonna see where this thing goes.”

Obviously, one of the first questions asked about this partnership is whether Donald will get a signature shoe. While that may not necessarily be in the works right now, they’re talking about a bunch of things already.

“Ain’t nothing in full circle, but we’ve been talking,” Donald said. “We got a lot of different things that’s planned. My wife’s been talking and getting things done, it’s about to be coming to fruition soon.”

Antonio Brown’s tweets suggest Kanye West wants to buy the Broncos

It appears that Kanye West is interested in buying the Broncos, if Antonio Brown’s tweets are to be believed.

The Denver Broncos are up for sale and it appears that they have drawn interest from a company represented by an unexpected suitor — free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Brown, 33, has been one of the NFL’s best receivers of the last decade, but his seemingly disruptive antics have resulted in him bouncing between four different teams over the last four seasons.

Brown was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January after the receiver had a bizarre outburst during a game against the New York Jets.

Brown now serves as the president of Donda Sports, which was founded by music mogul Kanye West (who is now known as “Ye”).

The Broncos will be sold to the highest bidder, pending NFL approval (a majority of owners have to sign off on the team’s next owner).

Candidates to buy Denver’s NFL franchise include Hollywood mogul Byron Allen and an investment group that includes Dean Metropoulos. John Elway and Peyton Manning are also interested in becoming minority owners.

It remains to be seen if Brown’s tweets will foreshadow any actual interest from Ye and his company.
