Devery Henderson’s 39-yard bobbling catch is the Saints Play of the Day

We continue our Play of the Day countdown with No. 39, and Devery Henderson’s 39-yard bobbled reception over the middle:

We are now under 40 days to go until the New Orleans Saints take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 1, with 39 days remaining, meaning this 39-yard bobbled reception by Devery Henderson is our Saints Play of the Day. For this highlight, we went back to 2010, when the Saints took on the Arizona Cardinals and Larry Fitzgerald. This was not the strongest game for Drew Brees either, who went 24 for 39 with 279 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.

On this play of the day, Brees underthrew Henderson, who got about three yards of separation over a tripping defensive back before having to slow down and turn around for the ball. Ultimately, Henderson got his hands on it, bobbled it while turning around to run, but then re-caught it and was tackled for a 39-yard gain.

While the game ended up resulting in a Saints loss by a score of 30-20, at the time of the play it was extremely critical. The catch was right before halftime, and put the Saints within field goal range, which John Carney would end up making after a few incompletions. This put the Saints up 13-10 right before halftime, despite not playing exceptionally well to that point. Unfortunately the loss tainted this play, but it was one of the more impressive plays from Henderson in his career.

6 LSU football records that will never be broken

These records will likely stand the test of time.

LSU has played football for over 100 years.

The game has changed a lot in that span. What we see now looks different than what those watching in 1905 saw. The rules are different, and players are deployed in different ways.

Some records set long ago will never be broken. A lot of that can be owed to the game’s changes. Other numbers are just so impressive that it would take one of the game’s greats to beat them.

Of course, there were also records that were broken because of the changes. Passing records from the 1930s didn’t stand a chance against modern statistics. Here, we’re going to look at six LSU football records that, in all likelihood, will stand until the end of time.

2022 Giants training camp preview: Offensive line

The New York Giants’ offensive line looks significantly better on paper but there may still be some depth issues.

One of the key areas New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen wanted to address when he took the job this offseason was the offensive line.

The Giants’ offense has been pitiful the past few seasons and the line has taken the brunt of the blame from the critics. That may be about to change.

With a new head coach (Brian Daboll), new offensive coordinator (Mike Kafka) and a new offensive line coach in Bobby Johnson, the approach alone should change things for the better.

Here’s a quick rundown of how the line shapes up heading into training camp.

Former Tigers that won a National Championship and a Super Bowl

This is an exclusive list.

During the illustrious history of LSU football, 48 former Tigers players have had the opportunity to win a Super Bowl ring. With the Rams’ victory in Super Bowl LVI, two more players joined that list in Odell Beckham Jr. and Andrew Whitworth.

But Whitworth, who may have played his final game on Sunday, joins an even more exclusive list. He’s one of just 16 players in the entire history of the LSU program to win both a national title and a Super Bowl.

We break down each of the 16 former LSU Tigers to have won both a national championship and a Super Bowl, as we look back on their collegiate careers.
