Phillip Wright III recently decommitted from the Wolverines, and he’ll be staying home in Louisiana.

When [autotag]Philip Wright III[/autotag] decommitted from Michigan on August 4th, all signs pointed to him wanting to stay closer to home. What better place to go than LSU when you are a kid from Louisiana?

[autotag]Philip Wright III[/autotag] is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound, four-star wide receiver from Destrehan, Louisiana, where he plays for [autotag]Destrehan High School[/autotag]. Last season Destrehan finished 11-1 with a loss to Zachary in the playoffs. The Wildcats start their season on Aug. 30 against Lutcher.

LSU’s [autotag]2025 recruiting class[/autotag] is ranked as the No. 3 class in the country according to 247Sports. Wright is the third wide receiver commit in the class joining five-star [autotag]Derek Meadows[/autotag] and four-star [autotag]TaRon Francis[/autotag]. [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] has been loading up on star players to surround his five-star quarterback [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] who is currently committed to LSU for the 2025 class.

Kelly has signed a top 10 classes every year since becoming the head coach at LSU. This 2025 class looks to be his best class of all time.

Kolaj Cobbins projects as a 3-4 outside linebacker in Georgia’s defensive scheme.

The Georgia Bulldogs and outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe have offered a scholarship to promising class of 2024 edge rusher Kolaj Cobbins. The Bulldogs have had recent success recruiting Louisiana, which is where Cobbins plays high school football.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound outside linebacker plays for Destrehan High School in Destrehan, Louisiana. Cobbins has received recent scholarship offers from the three top recruiters of the 2022 recruiting cycle: Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia.

Cobbins recently visited LSU and Ole Miss. It is always a challenge to lure Louisiana’s top prospects away from the LSU Tigers.

The Destrehan star is a good student. He is considered the fourth-best recruit in Louisiana in his class and the No. 19 edge rusher in the country. Cobbins is the No. 223 recruit overall.
