Georgia among top schools for 4-star safety

Three Georgia Bulldogs in the NFL played at four-star safety recruit Daemon Fagan’s high school

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top schools for four-star safety recruit Daemon Fagan, who is a member of the class of 2023. Three Georgia Bulldogs in the NFL played at Daemon Fagan’s high school (American Heritage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida).

Can you name all three? Sony Michel, Tyson Campbell and Isaiah McKenzie all attended American Heritage.

Daemon Fagan is not the only American Heritage star that the Bulldogs are eyeing. Georgia has offered a scholarship to four-star American Heritage wide receiver Santana Fleming.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound safety has offers from programs like LSU, Nebraska, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Auburn, and more.

Fagan named his top eight schools via his Twitter account:

The four-star safety ranks FSU, UCF, Ohio State, NC State, Miami, Penn State, Georgia, and LSU in his top eight schools. We’ll provide updates throughout his recruitment.

LSU makes the cut for recently offered 2023 safety

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, prospect Daemon Fagan released his top eight on Monday night.

Daemon Fagan, a 6-foot-3-inch, 175-pound safety from American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, received an offer from Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers on February 15th.

Six days later, he released a list of the final eight schools he is considering committing to. Although LSU is the new kid on the block here, the Tigers must have made a big impression as they made the cut for Fagan.

His top eight also includes Miami, Penn State, Georgia, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Florida State and UCF. He most recently visited the Hurricanes in December, and his one crystal ball projection from 247Sports has him heading to Coral Gables.

As a junior, Fagan totaled 28 tackles and two interceptions while playing in a Patriots’ secondary that also featured Alabama signee Earl Little Jr. and West Virginia signee Jacolby Spells. As a sophomore, Fagan helped American Heritage capture a Florida 5A state title while intercepting four passes.

Ohio State and Miami are considered to be the frontrunners for landing Fagan so far, but that could quickly change as the Tigers look to add on to a very talented piece for the secondary.

Four-star safety from Florida puts Ohio State in final eight

Daemon Fagan puts Ohio State on his trimmed list. #GoBucks

Ohio State made the shortlist for one of the top-rated safeties in the country earlier in the week. Daemon Fagan is a four-star recruit from the state of Florida and has been pursued by the Buckeyes for quite some time. OSU offered Fagan almost a year ago.

The top prospect kept the Buckeyes on his trimmed list of eight which also included Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, NC State, Penn State, and Central Florida.

Fagan is listed as the No. 24 safety in the 2023 class according to 247Sports composite rankings. The Hurricanes hold the lone crystal ball prediction, but the confidence of that pick is not all that high.

Ohio State has one commit at the safety position so far in the 2023 class in Cedrick Hawkins. Hawkins is the No. 22 safety in the class and also happens to be from the Sunshine state. The addition of Fagan would be a nice tandem from the talent-rich state of Florida.
