4-star OT Ethan Calloway sets commitment date

Four-star offensive tackle Ethan Calloway has recently visited UGA and is considering the Dawgs

Four-star offensive tackle Ethan Calloway plans to decide where he will play college football on June 30. The elite class of 2024 offensive tackle recruit plays high school football for Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, North Carolina.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle recently placed Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Penn State, Auburn, LSU, Florida and Florida State in his top schools.

The four-star Lake Norman standout is the No. 20 offensive tackle and the No. 210 recruit overall in the 2024 class, per 247Sports. Calloway is the fifth-ranked player in North Carolina. He primarily plays left tackle for his high school.

Calloway has more than a dozen scholarship offers. The four-star has recently taken official visits to Florida and Georgia.

Ethan Calloway gets after it in the weight room. He recently squatted 500 pounds.

Kirby Smart and Georgia have 19 commitments in the 2024 recruiting cycle. However, Georgia remains a little thin along the offensive line. The Dawgs hold commitments from only two class of 2024 offensive linemen.

The standout offensive tackle locked in his commitment date via Twitter:

Three-star DL cancels visit with Michigan, sets commitment date

Georgia football will be the last visit for 6-foot-5, 390-pound defensive line recruit Michai Boireau.

Three-star defensive tackle recruit Michai Boireau is ready to decide where he will play college football. Boireau recently cancelled an official visit with the Michigan Wolverines.

He plans to make his commitment on June 19 shortly after visiting the Georgia Bulldogs.

Michai Boireau is ranked as the No. 993 recruit in the country and the No. 96 defensive lineman, per On3. The massive 6-foot-5, 390-pound defensive lineman projects as a nose tackle at the next level.

Boireau plays high school football for Creekside High School in Fairburn, Georgia. Fairburn is located southwest of Atlanta.

Michai Boireau is expected to decide among Georgia, Michigan, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss. The big defensive tackle named his top schools in May 2023.

Michigan is obviously considered a bit of a long shot here. Florida has some recent traction with Michai Boireau, who visited the Gators in June.

Over 20 schools have offered the Creekside star. However, Georgia football and defensive line coach Tray Scott offered Michai Boireau before anybody else did all the way back in 2020.

Georgia football and Kirby Smart currently hold the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class in the 2024 cycle. The Dawgs have 19 commitments including one from five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola.

The three-star nose tackle announced his commitment date and plans to no longer visit Michigan via Twitter:

4-star OL Waltclaire Flynn Jr. announces commitment date

Four-star Grayson High School standout Waltclaire Flynn Jr. plans to commit on July 2. Who is in the mix for the Peach State OL?

The Georgia Bulldogs are hot on the recruiting trail. Kirby Smart and Georgia just added a commitment from five-star class of 2024 quarterback Dylan Raiola.

Now, Georgia is looking to add more pieces to the class of 2024. There are a lot of quality recruits in the Peach State in the 2024 cycle. One of the top in-state recruits is four-star offensive line prospect Waltclaire Flynn Jr.

Flynn Jr. plays high school football for Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. The four-star is the No. 245 recruit in the class of 2024. Waltclaire Flynn Jr. is the No. 15 player at his position and the No. 33 recruit in Georgia.

The Grayson standout plays against a high level of competition. Flynn Jr. plans to play in the 2024 All American Bowl on NBC.

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound offensive lineman has taken recent visits to Penn State, UCF, Tennessee, and Georgia. Flynn Jr. is also strongly considering Texas A&M.

The talented offensive guard recruit announced his commitment date of July 2 via Twitter:

3-star LSU receiver target alters commitment date

Mekhai White was planning to commit in May, but that is no longer the case.

Mekhai White was originally set to make a decision on May 12, but the three-star King George (Va.) receiver prospect has changed his plans.

He will now push his commitment date back to late summer in order to allow him to take several June official visits. A 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect, White ranks as the No. 506 player nationally and No. 49 athlete per the 247Sports Composite.

Michigan is currently seen as the favorite, holding two Crystal Ball projections from 247Sports. The Wolverines also lead the way on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

However, LSU along with Tennessee and Miami have been trending in the right direction for White. He told On3 (subscription required) that he has been in regular contact with the coaching staff, including head coach Brian Kelly.

The Tigers haven’t hosted White for a visit yet, and that will need to change if they have any hope of remaining a factor in this race, but it seems they’re still a player as things currently stand.

Now, they’ll have more time to make an impression.

5-star LSU cornerback target sets commitment date

Ellis Robinson IV, a five-star 2024 prospect from IMG Academy, is making his decision on Feb. 1.

LSU will be eagerly awaiting a decision from one of the top players in the 2024 recruiting class as cornerback [autotag]Ellis Robinson IV[/autotag] will announce his college commitment on Feb. 1 — which is also national signing day for the 2023 class.

The IMG Academy prospect is rated as a five-star recruit and ranks No. 13 nationally per 247Sports and seventh per On3. He recently trimmed his list of finalists to Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, LSU and Miami and told On3’s Chad Simmons that he will “definitely” commit to one of those finalists.

Robinson visited Miami this past weekend and Georgia the prior weekend. He has taken visits to all of his finalists — including a trip to LSU on Sept. 17 — except for the Buffaloes. He told On3’s Chad Simmons that his decision will come down to relationships.

“I am big on family. That was something I was looking for in a school. I have found that. With all five schools on my list, I created some strong relationships, but at one school, it is different. It has that family feeling to it. At that school, it is not just the relationships with the coaches, but with the players and the people around the school. The feeling around the people at that school is different for me.”

LSU will hope to close things out with one of the top players on the board in next year’s cycle.

5-star LSU basketball target set to commit on Monday

The Tigers are in the mix for the No. 2 overall prospect in the country.

One of the best high school basketball players in the entire 2024 cycle is set to make his decision on Monday.

Shooting guard [autotag]Ian Jackson[/autotag] — a product of Cardinal Hayes in the Bronx — is a consensus five-star prospect and is rated as the No. 2 player in the country in both the 247Sports Composite and On3 Consensus Rankings. The Tigers are one of five schools that received an official visit from the premier player with the others being Kentucky, North Carolina, Oregon and Arkansas.

Kentucky is expected to land his commitment. The Wildcats hold a 93.3% chance of getting him on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, and he holds a Crystal Ball prediction for UK as well from back in December.

Landing a pledge from Jackson would be a pretty big surprise for LSU, but it would also be a massive addition for coach [autotag]Matt McMahon[/autotag] if he can pull of something of a coup here.

4-star Mississippi receiver announces commitment date

Noreel White is closing in on a decision.

2024 four-star wide receiver [autotag]Noreel White[/autotag] from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, has announced his commitment date. The talented athlete will be committing on Feb. 7.

He recently released his top four schools as we get closer to February, but he has since deleted the tweet. The four teams that were in the tweet were LSU, Florida State, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. It’s no surprise to see both of the SEC Mississippi teams on the list as they try to keep one of the best in the state at home.

With the transfer portal and recruiting there is no telling what the LSU wide receiver room will look like for the 2024 season. [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] is trying to find the best players in the country to fill those spots and White is one of them.

LSU is considered a 37% favorite to land White per On3, but Ole Miss has received a Crystal Ball projection on 247Sports.

Gators pick up a pair of crystal balls for 5-star QB DJ Lagway just ahead of decision

Florida’s the favorite to land five-star quarterback DJ Lagway after a pair of crystal balls were submitted by 247Sports.

It’s finally decision day for five-star Willis, Texas, quarterback [autotag]DJ Lagway[/autotag] and the Florida Gators recently picked up two favorable crystal ball predictions from 247Sports.

Steve Wiltfong, 247Sports’ Director of Football Recruiting, submitted his prediction Tuesday morning in favor of the Gators with a six (out of 10) confidence level. Swamp247’s Blake Alderman followed up with another crystal ball for Florida on Wednesday morning with a confidence level of seven. No other predictions have been submitted on the site.

It won’t take long for Gator Nation to find out if those predictions will come true or not. Lagway decides his college future on Wednesday at 4 p.m. EST (2 p.m. local time for him). It’s come down to Florida, Baylor, Clemson, Texas A&M and USC, although the Gators and Trojans are considered his unofficial top two.

Lagway has long been compared to soon-to-be former Gator [autotag]Anthony Richardson[/autotag], who recently declared for the NFL draft. The offense seems like a good fit for him and Billy Napier’s coaching staff has left him impressed.

It’s no secret that Florida has prioritized Lagway as their top target at quarterback in the 2024 cycle. Fans are some coming into this decision with some caution after missing out on five-star cornerback [autotag]Cormani McClain[/autotag] recently, but the general feeling has been that Florida is the team to beat for Lagway.

The 247Sports composite ranks Lagway at No. 24 overall nationally and No. 4 among quarterbacks in the class of 2024. The On3 consensus is even higher on him ranking Lagway at No. 21 overall and No. 3 at his position.

4-star LSU DL target sets commitment date

The Tigers will hope to pull the Jacksonville prospect away from Florida and Georgia.

We’re just over a week out from early signing day, but LSU will have to wait just a bit longer to find out where one of its top remaining targets is heading.

Four-star Westside (Jacksonville, Fla.) defensive lineman [autotag]Jordan Hall[/autotag] will announce his decision on Dec. 22. The 6-foot-4.5, 300-pound pass-rushing interior lineman is set to choose between Florida, Georgia, Alabama and LSU.

Hall is ranked as the No. 117 overall player and No. 16 defensive lineman in the 2023 class, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He released a top-five at the beginning of November but has since cut Ohio State from that list.

Hall has several recent Crystal Ball projections to Georgia, and the Bulldogs are given an 85.6% chance to land him, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

LSU has recently lost a pair of defensive line commitments in the 2023 class in [autotag]Darron Reed[/autotag], who flipped to Auburn, and [autotag]Joshua Mickens[/autotag]. Adding a player like Hall would be a major get for Kelly, though that would be a fairly big surprise at this point.

4-star DL sets decision date during early signing period, Florida in top 4

One of Florida’s top-remaining undecided targets has set a decision date and says he’s locked in a silent commitment.

Four-star Westside (Jacksonville, Florida) defensive lineman [autotag]Jordan Hall[/autotag] knows where he’ll be playing college ball, but he’s not announcing his decision until Dec. 22, according to On3.

Hall has narrowed things down to four programs publicly: Florida, Alabama, Georgia and LSU. He’s already locked in with one of those teams but will be holding out until the early signing period kicks off to let the world know. The timing of this decision might hint at Georgia being out of the race — the Bulldogs will get his final official visit over the Dec. 9 weekend — but UGA currently leads the On3 recruiting prediction machine with an overwhelming 85.6% chance to land Hall.

Florida appears to be the next best-positioned team to earn a commitment after hosting Hall nearly 10 times over the past year and a half. Most recently, the Gators got Hall on campus for an official visit the weekend of Dec. 2. That trip coincides with Hall’s declaration of being decided, but things are too up in the air for Florida to head into the early signing period confidently on this one.

Still, whichever team has secured a pledge from Hall, has earned all of his respect.

“It feels like home there. I feel like I can grow, be myself, and not have to worry about too much,” he said. “I don’t have to be ‘Big Baby.’ I’m just Jordan there. I feel I can grow and develop. On the D-line there, with the coaches, I feel like I’ll be one of the guys to be a first-round pick honestly.”

Wherever Hall lands, Florida will have to scheme for him in the near future. He’s an SEC talent that’s wanted by the very best. Beating Georgia out for him would be a significant win for Billy Napier and Co.

Hall is the No. 58 overall prospect in the class of 2023 regardless of position, according to the On3 consensus. He ranks seventh among defensive linemen in the class and 13th in the state Florida. On3’s individual rankings are even more bullish on Hall, ranking him at No. 29 nationally and No.4 among those at his position.
