Wisconsin basketball top-ranked in-state 2025 target schedules visit with SEC Power

Wisconsin basketball class of 2025 combo guard Davion Hannah scheduled his first official visit with the University of Alabama for June 15, per On3’s Joe Tipton.

A rising senior at Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wisconsin, Hannah is 247sports’ No. 1 overall recruit from Wisconsin, No. 5 combo guard and the No. 19 national recruit for the class of 2025. The 6-foot-5, 175-pound CG is a four-star recruit across 247Sports, On3, Rivals and ESPN.

Wisconsin extended an offer to Hannah back in June of 2022. Of his 16 total offers, the most notable include from Michigan State, USC, Auburn, Marquette, Oregon, Mississippi State and Arizona State.

Following Hannah’s official visit announcement, On3’s recruiting prediction machine has the Crimson Tide as Hannah’s most probable landing spot. Wisconsin is second in their tiers.

Even though Hannah’s official visit does not guarantee a commitment, it is certainly significant given the laundry list of schools vying for his pledge. Landing a versatile, blue-chip recruit with size on the perimeter would be nothing short of monumental for a program in search of a return to the pinnacle of collegiate hoops.

Greg Gard’s current class of 2025 lands at No. 16 in the nation with one commitment thus far: three-star shooting guard Zach Kinziger from De Pere, Wisconsin. Hannah could join Kinziger as the second in-state recruit to land in Madison for the 2025-26 campaign.

2025 CG Jeremiah Fears lists Alabama in top 10

2025 combo guard Jeremiah Fears recently narrowed his list of finalists down to 10 schools. One of the schools that made the cut was Alabama.

The Alabama men’s basketball program continues to receive good news on and off the court. Recently, 2025 combo guard Jeremiah Fears narrowed his list of finalists down to 10 schools. One of the programs that made the cut was Alabama.

Fears hails from Joliet, Illinois but currently plays high school ball at Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona.

Jeremiah is the younger brother of Michigan State guard Jeremy Fears. However, the two have different styles of play according to 247Sports recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins.

Jenkins had the following to say about Jeremiah Fears as a prospect:

“Fears is the younger brother of Michigan State point guard Jeremy Fears but plays an entirely different brand of basketball. He is a smooth and confident scorer who has no problem finding his own offense within the flow of a game. A combination guard with a score-first mindset, Fears is at his best in a secondary ball-handling role where he can primarily focus on making shots and creating for himself off the bounce. He is talented with the ball in his hands and has a creative enough handle to break defenders down to get to his pull-up game.”

Alabama offered Fears less than a month ago. It will be interesting to see if Fears gets on campus for either an unofficial or official visit.

Price has the prototypical size and skillset to be a combo guard at the next level. Alabama has recruited similar players in the past like Rylan Griffen and Joshua Primo.

It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff decides to pursue the Texas native moving forward.

2024 CG Jase Richardson reveals top-eight schools, Alabama listed among others

2024 combo guard Jase Richardson is the son of former NBA player Jason Richardson. He recently received an offer from Alabama and has the Tide listed as a finalist in his recruitment.

The Alabama coaching staff offered 2024 combo guard Jase Richardson about two weeks ago. On Tuesday, Richardson listed the Crimson Tide as a finalist in his recruitment.

Jase is the son of former Michigan State Spartan and NBA shooting guard Jason Richardson.

The Spartans are currently the favorite to land Richardson, according to On3’s RPM.

Over the years, Alabama head coach Nate Oats has done a good job of developing combo guards in better players while preparing them for the next level. Several players that Oats has helped reach the NBA are Joshua Primo, JD Davison, and Keon Ellis.

Alabama could be become a top option in the future for Richardson as the coaching staff continues to send its players to the NBA. The ultimate goal for Richardson is to be like his father and reach the league.

Michigan State currently has a 50.5% likelihood to land Richardson’s commitment, according to On3’s RPM.

Another prospect that Alabama is battling Michigan State for is 2024 four-star power forward Aiden Sherrell. Both recruitments should be worth keeping a close eye on in the coming months.

Badgers MBB offer five-star combo guard from Indiana

Wisconsin men’s basketball offered Jalen Haralson, a five-star class of 2025 combo guard from Fishers, Indiana on Monday.

Wisconsin men’s basketball offered Jalen Haralson, a five-star combo guard from Fishers, Indiana on Monday. The 6-foot-7 athlete is a sophomore at Fishers High School and the top ranked recruit in his state, 10th overall for the class of 2025.

Haralson figures to be one of the most highly sought after players in the next year plus and he’s already received 12 Division 1 offers, including Indiana and seven other Big Ten schools.

Greg Gard and his staff likely have no shot here with Haralson, but it is a welcomed sight to see Wisconsin going after a five-star athlete. With the success of Indiana native Connor Essegian in 2022-2023, maybe they can convince Haralson to join the Badgers.

BREAKING: Alabama wing Nimari Burnett transferring to Michigan

Alabama wing transfer Nimari Burnett has announced that he will be transferring to Michigan. The news comes just days after Burnett entered the transfer portal.

Alabama wing transfer Nimari Burnett is transferring to Michigan, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. The Illinois native played in one season with the Crimson Tide.

The news is somewhat surprising considering the fact that Burnett entered the transfer portal just two days ago. However, the landscape of college basketball is constantly changing and Burnett will be on his way to Ann Arbor.

Burnett was a key player off of Alabama’s bench this past season. He suffered an injury early on in the season but was able to make positive contributions during conference play.

Altogether, Burnett averaged 5.6 points per game while shooting 36.8% from the field.

The thing that Alabama will likely miss the most about Burnett is his defensive presence. He created a lot of mismatches on that end of the floor given his sheer size and length.

Alabama is bringing in two wings for next season in Davin Cosby and Kris Parker. That should definitely help Alabama’s backcourt heading into next season.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the Alabama basketball program.
