The offer is No. 45 in the class of 2023 for Paul Chryst and his program, a number that will only skyrocket as the cycle for the class gets going in the coming months.

The second offer Wisconsin sent out went to Dylan Edwards, a three-star running back and one of Kansas’ best players in the class.

Edwards is 247Sports’ No. 12 running back in the class and No. 4 recruit form Kansas. He is also being pursued by Arizona State, Kansas, Iowa State, Minnesota, Kentucky and others.

Wisconsin is now up to 41 offers early in the class of 2023 cycle, understandably without anybody committed to the program.

Wisconsin offers 2023 athlete Alex Mota

Wisconsin offers 2023 athlete Alex Mota

The Wisconsin football program sent out another class of 2023 offer today, this one to three-star athlete Alex Mota.

Mota is 247Sports’ No. 30 athlete in the class and No. 3 recruit from his home state of Iowa.

Wisconsin becomes the fifth program on the Marion, Iowa native’s offer sheet, joining Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State and Nebraska.

There is still plenty of time left in the 2022 recruit cycle, so Mota’s name may not come up again for months. But Wisconsin now has 39 offers out in the class as they look to continue to elevate their recruiting profile.

Two Penn State football recruiting targets set commitment dates

Can Penn State put the finishing touches on its Class of 2022 and begin setting the table for 2023 with a pair of upcoming commitment announcements?

Two Penn State recruiting targets have set their commitment dates for the 2022 and 2023 class. The Nittany Lions continue to impress with their loaded class of 2022. Yesterday, they added a three-star safety out of Maryland, Kevin Winston. They even gained some momentum for their 2023 recruiting class by making the top four of four-star tight end Ty Lockwood.

Today, there are two more players to watch from both classes, both setting their commitment dates. The first one is FS/WR Adon Shuler from Irvington, New Jersey. The Nittany Lions continue to recruit versatility, as they added S/WR Cristian Driver, who committed to Penn State last week.

Shuler, a class of 2023 recruit, has set his commitment date for August 15thThe crystal ball predictions have Notre Dame at the top of the realm, but Penn State is in a tight race with them and Maryland

The next player to watch adds to their loaded 2022 class, and that is three-star offensive lineman Andre Roye from Baltimore, Maryland. There are no crystal ball predictions, but Roye has garnered a lot of interest from the Nittany Lions. Roye is the 10th ranked offensive lineman in the state of Maryland and ranked 43 in the nation at his position.

Roye has set his commitment date for September 22nd, according to his Twitter.

Penn State had a busy month of July recruiting. As we begin a new month, their work is just getting started. So far, the future is looking very bright for Penn State football.

Penn State in top four for Class of 2023 four-star tight end

Penn State is in the top four for a coveted four-star tight end in the Class of 2023

Penn State is closing in on signing its top-rated recruiting class under James Franklin with an impressive Class of 2022 haul. But the work on the 2023 class is already underway for the Nittany Lions. Already with one recruit on the board for the next recruiting cycle, Penn State is officially in stiff competition for one of its top tight end targets for the Class of 2023.

Ty Lockwood, a four-star tight end from Tennessee, recently announced his top four as his recruiting process continues. Penn State was among those in Lockwood’s top four, and it looks like Penn State will have some serious competition to work against.

As shared by Chad Simmons of On3 Sports, via Twitter, Lockwood has listed Penn State, Ohio State, Florida State, and South Carolina in his top four.

while we do not know when Lockwood is expected to make his decision, this will certainly be one to keep a close eye on.

Lockwood recently made an unofficial visit to Florida State as power conference offers continue to come in for the Tennessee native. It was reportedly the first visit he has taken, and no official visits are currently reported. Penn State extended its offer last November.

Wisconsin receives a 247Sports crystal ball prediction to land a 2023 four-star QB

Wisconsin receives a 247Sports crystal ball prediction for a 2023 four-star QB

Recruiting news has quieted down a bit for the Wisconsin football program as of late, that after they landed commitments from several class of 2022 recruits last month.

There is a small piece of positive news to highlight, though, as the Badgers picked up a 247Sports crystal ball prediction yesterday to land 2023 four-star QB Brayden Dorman.

Dorman is 247Sports’ No. 138 player in the class of 2023, No. 9 quarterback and No. 1 overall recruit from his home state of Colorado.

Wisconsin hosted Dorman on a visit this week, that after offering the class of 2023 prospect back in mid-June.

We are still in the heat of the 2022 recruiting cycle, so Dorman’s recruiting timeline most likely won’t heat up for a few months. But good news is good news for the Badgers, especially at a position in quarterback where they’ve had a lot of recent recruiting success.

This Class of 2023 four-star cornerback just received a scholarship offer from Penn State

Penn State looks to continue adding quality depth in the secondary with the latest Class of 2023 scholarship offer

Penn State has absolutely been crushing it with the Class of 2022, and they are already starting to shift the focus to the Class of 2023 to keep the momentum going.

Already with one big commitment on the board for the Class of 2023, Penn State has actively been pushing out offers to other potential recruits in the next recruiting cycle. Among those receiving an offer recently was four-star cornerback Caleb Presley from Seattle, Washington.

Presley is already on plenty of radars around the country with offers from Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC and more. Presley reacted to his latest offer from James Franklin and the Nittany Lions on Twitter.

Presley is ranked as the nation’s 19th best cornerback in the Class of 2023 according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, and is the fourth-best recruit overall in the state of Washington. Penn State has certainly been building quality depth in the defensive secondary, and Presley would be guaranteed to keep that trend going if Penn State can manage to pull off the commitment from the northwest.

Penn State’s first commitment for 2023 is a big one

Penn State is already off and running with the Class of 2023 with a massive OL commitment

While Penn State is still crushing things with its Class of 2022, the first building block for the Class of 2023 has been locked in. And it’s a pretty big one.

Alex Birchmeier of Ashburn, Virginia, offered his commitment to the Nittany Lions this week. The four-star interior offensive lineman is ranked as the best at the position according to 247 Sports. Birchmeier is also rated as the 42nd best recruit overall in the nation and the top-ranked recruit from the state of Virginia.

Birchmeier selected Penn State over offers from a number of schools, with Notre Dame and Virginia Tech considered the other serious contenders this far out. At 6′-5″ and 275 pounds, Birchmeier should fit right in as Penn State continues to improve its quality and depth on the offensive line.

Just this week, Penn State also added a future grad transfer from Harvard to the offensive line with a commitment from Spencer Rolland. Rolland will be a member of the Class of 2022.

Penn State’s success with its Class of 2022 may have helped sway Birchmeier to be a part of the next recruiting class as well, but the experience of offensive line coach Phil Trautwein certainly came into play too. And the ability to play multiple offensive line positions makes Birchmeier a very valuable recruit for Penn State’s Class of 2023.

Yeah, this is a nice way to start off your Class of 2023.

Wisconsin offers class of 2023 linebacker Tyler Jansey

The Wisconsin football program offered 2023 LB Tyler Jansey yesterday, becoming the first Power Five and third overall offer for the LB

Wisconsin is known to enter recruits’ radar early, sometimes before they receive another Power Five offer.

That was the case just last week with Cade Yacamelli. Wisconsin offered the athlete before other big-name programs entered his radar and Yacamelli didn’t take long to commit to Paul Chryst and his program.

It was also the story with talented quarterbacks Graham Mertz and Deacon Hill. Wisconsin offered them early in their high school careers, their recruiting profiles then skyrocketed and it was the Badgers in the end that earned commitments.

Yesterday, it looks like the Badgers tried to do the same thing as they offered class of 2023 linebacker Tyler Jansey.

Jansey is unranked by 247Sports and only holds offers from Eastern Illinois and Western Michigan.

Despite no ranking on 247Sports, though, the Batavia, Illinois native is listed by PrepRedzone.com as Illinois’ No. 3-ranked player in the class of 2023 and No. 1 linebacker.

We’ll see if their early interest pays off as the 2023 recruiting cycle heats up throughout the year.
