Baltimore Ravens at Chicago Bears odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Baltimore Ravens at Chicago Bears odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

Following their stunning loss to the Miami Dolphins last week, the Baltimore Ravens (6-3) will take on the Chicago Bears (3-6) in Week 11. The Bears will host the Ravens at Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Ravens vs. Bears odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Ravens still look like the best team in the AFC North but their 22-10 loss to the Dolphins is concerning. They’ve now lost two of their last three, both by double-digits, and have injury concerns to deal with, too.

Baltimore leads the NFL in rushing and ranks 10th in net yards per pass attempt, so they’re moving the ball on offense. But, Baltimore’s defense is allowing 24.1 points per game, 22nd in the NFL.

The Bears gain the second-fewest yards per game in the NFL and allow the 13th-most, so they have not played very well this season.

Despite losing their last four games, however, they’ve scored 49 total points in their last two contests against the 49ers and Steelers. Fresh off a bye, this team should continue to improve with Justin Fields at QB.

Ravens at Bears odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Ravens 27, Bears 20

Money line

Even though the Ravens were embarrassed by the Dolphins, I’m treating that game as an outlier, being on a short week after an overtime win.

The Bears are 19th in yards per rush allowed and have allowed the 11th-most rushing yards in the NFL, so they could have trouble against the Ravens’ ground game.

And when it comes to Baltimore’s defense, it should have success against the rookie Fields, who has thrown eight interceptions and struggled under pressure.

BET the RAVENS (-270) to win outright.

Against the spread

The Ravens haven’t covered the spread in any of their last three games and now sit at 3-6 ATS this season. The Bears are one game better at 4-5 ATS, but neither team has been great against the spread.

BET the RAVENS -6.5 (-105) to cover.

Over/Under

The total has gone Over in two of the Ravens’ last three games, and the same goes for the Bears, too. The Over is 5-4 in the Ravens’ nine games this season, helped by Baltimore’s 25.7 points per game and below-average defense.

The Ravens aren’t even scoring as much as they should, either, ranking second in total yards but only 12th in points. If they can convert in the red zone, the points will flow.

BET the OVER 44.5 (-105).

Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday’s Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers Week 9 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bears (3-5) travel to meet the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh for Monday Night Football. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN. Below, we look at the Bears vs. Steelers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Bears suffered a 33-22 setback at home against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, and Chicago is now 0-3 SU/ATS across its past three outings. The Under is 6-1 in the previous seven outings for the Bears, including the past three road contests.

The Steelers enter on a season-high three-game win streak. Pittsburgh topped rival Cleveland 15-10 last week on the road, winning outright as a 5.5-point underdog as the Under cashed. The Under is 6-1 in seven games overall for the Steelers.

Bears at Steelers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Steelers 30, Bears 13

Money line

The Steelers (-320) will cost you more than three times your potential return, and that’s just too expensive despite the fact the Bears (+250) are atrocious on offense, and banged up on defense.

AVOID.

Against the spread

The STEELERS -6.5 (-112) have been able to get the run game going lately, and that has meant QB Ben Roethlisberger has had a little more time to operate.

Pittsburgh enters this game relatively healthy, and they will be facing a a Bears +6.5 (-108) defense without the tackle machine Mack, and a D which likely will have Jackson missing from its back end. If Ogletree is also out, Pittsburgh should be able to run amok with very little resistance.

Over/Under

The OVER 38.5 (-112) might be my favorite play on the board. Yes, the Under is 6-1 for Pittsburgh this season, and 6-2 for Chicago overall. However, the Bears will have several key parts either out or not quite at 100 percent on the defensive side of the football. The Steelers should be able to get the offense going in a big way, and they could take of most of the Over themselves.

San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The San Francisco 49ers (2-4) come off their bye to face the Chicago Bears (3-4) on the road in Week 8. They kick off their game Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Soldier Field. Below, we look at the 49ers vs. Bears odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The 49ers have lost four straight games after a 2-0 start. They have struggled to take care of the football as they have turned the ball over nine times in the four losses. They have been inconsistent offensively, twice gaining more than 440 yards and twice gaining fewer than 300.

The Bears have lost their last two games and have struggled offensively. They rank 30th in the NFL averaging just 14.4 points per game. Rookie QB Justin Fields has thrown only two touchdown passes and has six interceptions.

49ers at Bears odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

49ers 24, Bears 17

Money line

The 49ers should win this game. Their defense has questions against the pass, but Fields has not been able to exploit anyone. The Bears offense struggles. They have scored 14 or fewer points in four of their seven games. They have four games with fewer than 280 total yards.

The 49ers have had time to prepare an offensive plan with their Week 7 bye and the 49ers are 24-11 when QB Jimmy Garoppolo starts in his career.

Take the 49ERS (-205).

Against the spread

Only the Washington Football Team has a worse record against the spread than the 49ers’ 1-5 ATS mark.

The Bears, even with their offensive struggles, are 3-4 ATS this season.

However, with a fairly even spread on both sides.

I know there isn’t a lot of love for Garoppolo, but he does give the 49ers a better shot of winning.

Take the 49ERS -3.5 (-112).

Over/Under

Six of the Bears’ seven games have stayed Under the projected total.

The 49ers are 3-3 O/U this season.

I expect the 49ers to play better than they did last week and for the Bears to continue to struggle to score points.

This is the lowest O/U total in the league this week. Take OVER 39.5 (-108).

Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 7 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bears (3-3) visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-1) Sunday in Week 7 for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff at Raymond James Stadium (CBS). Below, we look at the Bears vs. Buccaneers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Chicago is coming off a 24-14 home loss to the Green Bay Packers and QB Aaron “I own you” Rodgers in Week 6. The loss snapped a Bears’ two-game win streak, and they failed to cover as 5.5-point underdogs, falling to 3-3 against the spread (ATS) on the season.

Tampa Bay won at the Philadelphia Eagles 28-22 in Week 6 for a third victory in a row. The Bucs were somewhat “backdoored” as 7-point favorites. They failed to cover when the Eagles scored a touchdown and the “meaningful” 2-point conversion with 5:54 to go in the game.

While the Bucs are an impressive 5-1 to sit atop the NFC South, they’re only 2-4 ATS.

Bears at Buccaneers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Buccaneers 30, Bears 17

Money line

PASS. Backing the Buccaneers (-700) for seven times your return is not wise nor worth the risk. We’ll focus on the spread below.

Against the spread

TAMPA BAY -11.5 (-108) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager.

I know it’s a lot of points, but Brady and the Bucs thrive at home, and the Bears can’t score.

Chicago has only scored more than 2 touchdowns once this season – in a 24-14 home win vs. the Detroit Lions in Week 4. That was when the Bears had a healthy RB David Montgomery, who is on the injured reserve list with a sprained knee suffered in that Lions game.

The Bears are 1-2 on the road, featuring an identical 1-2 ATS mark.

The Buccaneers are 3-0 at home with an 2-1 ATS record. They won but didn’t cover as 10-point favorites in the season opener, a 31-29 squeaker against the Dallas Cowboys.

Their next 2 home games were non-sweaters for Bucs backers. Tampa Bay beat the Atlanta Falcons 48-25 as a 13.5-point favorite in Week 2, and cruised past the Miami Dolphins 45-17 as an 11-point favorite in Week 5.

Meanwhile, Brady has thrown for 1,066 yards and 14 touchdowns in the Bucs’ three home games. He’s also 5-1 in his career vs. the Bears, winning his first five before a 20-19 loss at Soldier Field in 2020, his first season with Tampa Bay.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 47.5 (-117) to WIN 0.5 UNITS.

I’ve been hammering Chicago Unders up to this point, and it has been profitable as the Under is 5-1 this season.

However, I’m a little worried Tampa Bay lights up the scoreboard and puts up 35-plus points.

The Bucs, who are 4-2 O/U, average 32.5 points per game to rank third in the league. They also average 426 total yards per game, also ranking third.

The Bears offense ranks last with 246.2 total yards per game and ranks 30th in points at 16.3 per contest.

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

One of the NFL’s oldest rivalries kicks off 1 p.m. ET Sunday at Soldier Field when the Green Bay Packers (4-1) visit the Chicago Bears (3-2). Below, we look at the Packers vs. Bears odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Green Bay won and covered its fourth straight game by beating the Cincinnati Bengals 25-22 in overtime as a 2-point road favorite. The Packers are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) and 2-3 Over/Under (O/U) with the 14th-toughest strength of schedule, according to Football Outsiders.

Chicago has won and covered three of its last four games including a 20-9 victory at the Las Vegas Raiders as a 5.5-point underdog in Week 5. The Bears are 3-2 ATS and 1-4 O/U with the 11th-toughest schedule.

The Packers have beaten and covered in four consecutive meetings with the Bears. Also, Aaron Rodgers is 20-5 all-time against Chicago with a 55 TD to 10 INT ratio and a 107.2 QB Rating.

Packers at Bears odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Packers 24, Bears 13

Money line

PASS even though Green Bay is obviously the right side here because the Packers (-250) is a little too rich for my blood.

Rodgers dominates the Bears and Chicago’s injury woes combined with rookie QB Justin Fields having more game film on him should help Green Bay’s defense in this spot.

Against the spread

Slight “LEAN” to the PACKERS -5.5 (-112) for a small bet if at all because of the aforementioned logic. There’s been “sharp line movement” towards Green Bay who opened up as a 4.5-point favorite.

We are getting the worst of the number and I much prefer the Under in this game than a side in Packers-Bears.

Over/Under

BET the UNDER 44.5 (-112) for 1 unit because there is “reverse line movement” in the Under’s direction.

Slightly more money is on the Over and nearly three-fourths of the bets placed are on the Over according to pregame.com, but the total has been lowered from the 46-point opener. It’s a red flag whenever you see sportsbooks make the more popular side cheaper.

Green Bay’s offense ranks 24th in neutral situation pace and Chicago’s offense ranks 28th in neutral situation pace, according to footballeroutsiders.com

The Packers are super reliant on Rodgers to WR Davante Adams magic and Chicago’s defense has held Adams in check recently.

Adams’ 61 targets are by far the most for any player on Green Bay’s offense with the next closest player being RB Aaron Jones out of the backfield with 19 targets. However, Adams has only surpassed 61 receiving yards once in his last four games against the Bears.

Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bears (2-2) visit the Las Vegas Raiders (3-1) Sunday of Week 5 for a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff at Allegiant Stadium. Below, we look at the Bears vs. Raiders odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Chicago is coming off a 24-14 home win over the Detroit Lions. The Bears covered the spread as 3-point favorites with the Under (41.5) cashing. Behind QB Justin Fields‘ 209 passing yards and RB David Montgomery‘s 106 rushing yards, the Bears finished with 373 total yards, a big upgrade from the 47 yards accumulated in a 26-6 loss at the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

Montgomery, who had 2 rushing TDs against Detroit and ranks fifth in the NFL with 309 rushing yards, will be out four to five weeks due to a knee sprain.

Las Vegas suffered its first loss of the season with a 28-14 setback at the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. The Raiders didn’t cover the spread as 3-point underdogs and the Under (52) hit.

Trailing 21-0 at halftime, the Raiders scored twice in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 21-14, but they couldn’t get any closer. QB Derek Carr finished with 196 passing yards, 2 TDs and 1 pick in the loss.

Bears at Raiders odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Raiders 27, Bears 13

Money line

PASS.

The call is for the Raiders (-240) to win, but the juice isn’t worth the risk.

Against the spread

LAS VEGAS -5.5 (-110) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager.

Despite having short rest, coming off the MNF game, the Raiders shouldn’t have a problem taking this one, especially with the Bears ground game missing Montgomery.

Chicago’s offense won’t be able to hang and likely won’t score more than one touchdown.

Over/Under

UNDER 44.5 (-105) is the way to go.

Until Week 4, the Bears hadn’t scored more than 2 touchdowns in a game. They scored 3 Sunday, but two of them were from Montgomery.

They rank 30th in the league with 16.0 points per game and are last with 114.3 passing yards per game.

As long as the Bears defense doesn’t tire, the Under should be OK against a decent Raiders offense. Chicago is 10th with 22.8 points allowed per game.

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing the Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears Week 4 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The winless Detroit Lions (0-3) visit the Chicago Bears (1-2) Sunday of Week 4. Kickoff for the NFC North rivalry at Soldier Field is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at the Lions vs. Bears odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Lions covered the spread as 7.5-point home underdogs in Week 3 in a 19-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Detroit led 17-16 with 1:04 to go, but Baltimore PK Justin Tucker kicked an NFL-record, 66-yard field goal as time expired. Lions QB Jared Goff threw for 217 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions in the loss.

Chicago failed to cover as a 7.5-point dog in a 26-6 loss at the Cleveland Browns last week. The Bears were outgained 418 to 47 in total yardage. Yes, 47 total yards (46 rushing, 1 passing). QB Andy Dalton sat with a knee injury, while rookie QB Justin Fields’ first NFL start didn’t go so well: 6 of 20 passing for 1 net yard with 0 TDs and 0 picks.

Bears Coach Matt Nagy said Sunday’s starting QB will be a “game-time decision.”

Lions at Bears odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Lions 14, Bears 13

Money line

If Dalton doesn’t start, bet a HALF UNIT on DETROIT (+130).

Chicago’s offense couldn’t get it going last week with Fields at the helm, as he was sacked 9 times.

If Dalton does start, AVOID.

Don’t fret if you fail to make a bet once the Bears name their starter. There’s money to be made on the UNDER (see below).

Against the spread

DETROIT +3.5 (-130) is the way to go based on the already mentioned struggling Chicago offense.

Detroit claimed a 34-30 victory at Soldier Field, Dec. 6, 2020, in the last head-to-head meeting and covered as a 3-point underdog.

Over/Under

UNDER 40.5 (-103) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager.

It doesn’t matter who starts at QB for the Bears. This game should finish Under. We’ll just have to worry about defensive or special teams touchdowns.

The Lions finished with 17 points in each of their last two games. They scored 33 points in their opener, an 8-point loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but they scored 16 points in the final 1:53 of garbage time.

The Bears didn’t score a touchdown last week after tallying just four in their first two games – two apiece in each contest. Their scores (in order from the opener): 34-14 loss at the Los Angeles Rams, 20-17 home win vs. the Cincinnati Bengals and last week’s 26-6 setback at Cleveland.

NFL Week 3 Can’t-Miss Parlay: 3 bets you can count on

Assessing the NFL betting odds and lines for Week 3, with predictions and picks for the best parlay bet to make.

Week 3 offers some intriguing NFL matchups. The 2-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the 2-0 Los Angeles Rams, two AFC West young guns renew their rivalry as QBs Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs host Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers, and Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will try to spoil the 2-0 San Francisco 49ers’ home opener on Sunday Night Football.

However, those high-profile games often don’t offer the best values on the NFL board. That in mind, here goes with our can’t-miss Week 3 parlay.

NFL can’t-miss parlay: Week 3

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8 a.m. ET.

Leg 1: Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns UNDER 44.5 (-112)

Points come out of the passing game in the NFL, and so this matchup of two top-10 rushing attacks butting heads against two top-10 rush defenses sets up nicely for a low-scoring scrum.

Throw in rookie Bears QB Justin Fields making his first pro start, that start coming on the road and a Browns’ aerial game featuring absent Jarvis Landry (injured reserve) and still-on-the-mend Odell Beckham Jr., and the UNDER 44.5 (-112) is the play.

Leg 2: Tennessee Titans -4.5 (-108) vs. Indianapolis Colts

The two teams that have been the class of the AFC South in recent seasons, and you’d figure they would have a recent history of close contests.

But that’s not the case.

Eight of the last 10 head-to-head meetings were decided by at least a touchdown with an average margin of victory of 12.9 points.
Given Indy QB Carson Wentz‘s injury issues and the worrisome depth behind him, Tennessee is the better (and healthier) team at this time.

So go ahead and lay the number here and bank on a comfortable TITANS -4.5 (-108) win at home.

Leg 3: Las Vegas Raiders ML (-180) vs. Miami Dolphins

Miami is another team with QB injury issues early in the season as starter Tua Tagovailoa is out with fractured ribs. Jacoby Brissett takes over, but he’s not quite at the level of Ryan Fitzpatrick who replaced a struggling Tua in Week 16 last season and led the Dolphins to a miraculous, 26-25 comeback win in Vegas.

This is a 2-0 Silver & Black squad, though, that looks to be more talented and focused than the collapsing version that finished 2020 on a 2-5 tumble.
The Miami pass defense is formidable, however, and the field-goal-plus-a-hook line is always daunting for the favorite in a tight matchup.

So, take the home team on the money line and cash in on some RAIDERS (-180) revenge Sunday afternoon in the desert.

Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns, picks and prediction

Analyzing the Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns Week 3 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bears (1-1) visit the Cleveland Browns (1-1) Sunday in Week 3. Kickoff at First Energy Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at the Bears vs. Browns odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Both teams are coming off Week 2 victories after dropping their season opener.

The big news out of the Bears’ 20-17 home win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 was that starting QB Andy Dalton injured his knee and won’t play Sunday. Rookie QB Justin Fields will make his first NFL start.

Fields played the entire second half vs. Cincinnati, leading Chicago (-2) to a point-spread cover as the game finished Under (44.5). The first-round draft pick out of Ohio State completed 6 of 13 passes for 60 yards with no touchdowns and 1 interception while rushing for 31 yards on 10 carries in the victory.

Cleveland beat the Houston Texans 31-21 in Week 2 but didn’t cover as a 13.5-point favorite with the Over (49) sending backers to window.

QB Baker Mayfield rallied the Browns from a 21-14 second-quarter deficit with a game-tying 5-yard TD run before the half and a 33-yard touchdown pass midway in the third quarter. He finished with 213 passing yards, while RB Nick Chubb led the ground attack with 95 rushing yards in the win.

Bears at Browns odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Browns 24, Bears 20

Money line

AVOID. The Browns (-360) should win in front of the home crowd, but making any bet at 3.6 times your potential profit is not smart.

Against the spread

CHICAGO +7.5 (-120) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager.

Despite Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. being expected to make his season debut, I prefer to take the BEARS and the points because of the “hook” (half point) on the 7.5 spread. OBJ last played in Week 7 of 2020 when tore his ACL.

Expect the Bears to be focused with Fields getting the start. His ability to run will cause the Browns defense problems, making this a tight affair.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 44.5 (-105) to WIN a QUARTER UNIT.

The Bears defense surrendered 34 points in the opening loss at the Los Angeles Rams, but that was a trip to the West Coast with a later start time. The Bears be more comfortable with the 1 p.m. ET kickoff in Cleveland.

Their defense finished 13th in points allowed (23.1) last season and only allowed 21 points in last season’s playoff loss at the New Orleans Saints.
