Ohio State offers 2024 Miami wide receiver already committed

The Buckeyes are looking to flip the Miami verbal #GoBucks

[autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] is very familiar with Florida high school powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas.

Former Buckeye brothers Joey and Nick Bosa prepped there, while a few others played there as well, so having Ohio State coaches in the building is a fairly common occurrence.

Although the Buckeye staff was on campus hosting recruits, that didn’t mean their eyes weren’t watching other prospects. Why do we know this? Well, late on Sunday night the Ohio State coaches offered 2024 wide receiver [autotag]Chance Robinson[/autotag] of STA.

The 6-foot, 2-inch, 190-pound Miami commit is ranked as the No. 23 player at his position and 151st overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Robinson is friends with current Buckeye commit Jeremiah Smith who seems to be commenting about the offer after sharing a childhood friend’s good news from Ohio State.

Smith has become one of the most vocal commitments of the 2024 group, even though he has made multiple official visits to places other than Columbus. It might be a coincidence, but it might not. What’s more important is that Ohio State has shown Robinson that he’s wanted in Scarlet and Gray.

Florida football has official visit date set with 4-star Miami WR commit

Can the Gators flip this blue-chip Hurricanes commit? They’ll get a shot with an OV next month.

Billy Napier and his staff are looking to flip four-star wide receiver [autotag]Chance Robinson[/autotag] out of Fort Lauderdale (Florida) St. Thomas Aquinas from their rivals, the Miami Hurricanes, in an attempt to further bolster their pass-catching corps.

On Monday, the Gators took a big step in that direction by scheduling an official visit to the Swamp for the 6-foot-1-inch, 180-pounder the weekend of June 9, according to social media. The rising high school senior made a trek the Gainesville prior earlier this spring and his OV with Florida is the only one he has scheduled so far.

“UF has a great, wonderful education standpoint,” Robinson told Swamp247 after his visit this spring. “I just was checking this out. It was great as far as the education. They have SEC records and education. That was good to know and puts things on my mind.”

Former assistant coach Keary Colbert had been spearheading the efforts to lure the coveted receiver to Florida before departing for the NFL, leaving running backs quality control coach Benedick Hyppolite and assistant receivers coach David Doeker in charge until the arrival of wide receivers coach Billy Gonzalez.

“It’s still good. Everyone from the staff is still reaching out to me. Coach Hyppolite is always working with the receivers and reaching out to me. He’s also a South Florida guy,” the four-star recruit told Gators Online back in March.

Robinson is ranked No. 151 overall and No. 22 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 135 and 24, respectively.

Four-star WR Chance Robinson to officially visit Auburn

He unofficially visited Auburn in March.

The Auburn Tigers are looking to sign multiple impact wide receivers in the 2024 recruiting class and one target is four-star [autotag]Chance Robinson[/autotag].

Robinson, who is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, seems to have plenty of interest in Auburn as he told On3’s Cole Pinkston that he has set an official visit to the Plains for June 9.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder is the No. 136 overall player and No. 23 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 19 player from Florida.

As a junior last season, he was the top wide receiver for St. Thomas Aquinas, which went 14-0 and captured a Florida 3M state title. He caught 29 passes for 540 yards and 13 touchdowns.

While there is mutual interest between Auburn and Robinson, it will be tough for wide receivers coach [autotag]Marcus Davis[/autotag] to pull him away from the in-state Miami Hurricanes, who have hosted him four times already.

Florida keeping close with four-star WR from South Florida

Florida is climbing up the list for four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson, who had a blast meeting wide receivers coach Billy Gonzalez.

Florida hosted St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) wide receiver [autotag]Chance Robinson[/autotag] over the weekend and made up some serious ground in the recruiting race for him, according to Gators Online.

One highlight of the trip for Robinson was meeting the team’s new wide receivers coach, [autotag]Billy Gonzalez[/autotag]. Unaware of Gonzalez’s history of developing NFL talent, Robinson was pleasantly surprised to learn more about Florida’s new position coach.

“I wasn’t even aware that coming in,” Robinson said of Gonzales’s past. “Now I know that they’ve had guys coming in and out of the league to be great receivers and great men. I didn’t know that Billy G really affected guys like that until he got here. He showed me with how he is that he’s a real guy.”

It sounds like Florida is only gaining ground with Robinson, despite the loss of receiver coach Keary Colbert. Robinson told On3 that he’ll likely return to the Swamp in April for the spring game before coming back for an official visit.

The Gators have earned an extended visit from Robinson, but he hasn’t planned a date for it just yet. The only school that’s scheduled an official visit with him so far is Penn State, which will host Robinson during the first week of June.

The On3 industry ranking has Robinson at No. 131 overall in the class of 2024 and No. 24 among wide receivers. He’s also ranked the 17th-best player in the state, and Billy Napier has put a heavy focus on keeping in-state talent at home.

Gators to get recently offered WR on campus in late March

The end of the month is filling up with big-name visits.

We are a little more than halfway through March and Florida football’s recruiting efforts continue to roll along as the spring schedule continues to unfurl. [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] and Co. have been working hard at getting the top prep prospects on campus to see what the Swamp has to offer them, and recently, another big name added Gainesville to his itinerary.

Four-star wide receiver [autotag]Chance Robinson[/autotag] out of Fort Lauderdale (Florida) St. Thomas Aquinas recently told Gators Online that he plans to pay a visit with the Orange and Blue on March 25 — his first face-to-face meeting with the Gators since receiving an offer from former assistant coach [autotag]Keary Colbert[/autotag] back in January. He previously attended last year’s Orange and Blue Game.

Colbert had been spearheading the efforts to lure the high school junior to Florida before departing for the NFL, leaving running backs quality control coach [autotag]Benedick Hyppolite[/autotag] and assistant receivers coach [autotag]David Doeker[/autotag] in charge until the arrival of wide receivers coach [autotag]Billy Gonzalez[/autotag].

“It’s still good. Everyone from the staff is still reaching out to me. Coach Hyppolite is always working with the receivers and reaching out to me. He’s also a South Florida guy,” Robinson told Gators Online.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 180-pound pass-catcher has been considering official visits to see the Georgia Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers and Penn State Nittany Lions while also receiving offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, Miami Hurricanes, LSU Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers and South Carolina Gamecocks, among others.

Robinson is ranked No. 107 overall and No. 19 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 92 and 17, respectively. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has the Florida State Seminoles ahead of the pack for his talents with a 37.8% chance of landing him, while the Hurricanes, Gators and Nittany Lions trail behind at 22.4%, 10.1% and 8.4%, respectively.

Auburn makes top 8 for elite WR Chance Robinson

Auburn is looking to land its second wide receiver from St. Thomas Aquinas in the past three cycles.

Auburn is firmly in the mix for one of the top wide receivers in the country.

[autotag]Chance Robinson[/autotag] is one of the best receivers in the country and on Friday he trimmed his top group to eight schools and the Tigers made the cut. They will be battling FSU, Florida, Miami, Ole Miss Penn State, Georgia, and Tennessee.

He is the No. 107 overall recruit and No. 19 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite ranking. The Fort Lauderdale product is also the No. 16 player from Florida.

Alabama offers 2024 WR Chance Robinson from Florida

Alabama has been very active in recruiting Florida as of late. The coaching staff recently offered 2024 wide receiver Chance Robinson.

The Alabama coaching staff recently offered 2024 four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson. Robinson plays for St. Thomas Aquinas High School which is the same school that Jordan Battle and Braylen Ingraham once played for.

Robinson was one of three recruits to receive an offer from the Crimson Tide. The other two prospects were James Madison II and Jordan Lyle. Robinson is the highest-rated of the three.

The standout wide receiver hauled in 29 receptions for 540 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns over the course of last season. 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins compared Robinson to Clemson wide receiver Joe Ngata.

Roll Tide Wire breaks down Chance Robinson’s recruiting profile.

Top 2024 WR prospect offered by Florida, planning Gators visit

This four-star wide receiver in the 2024 cycle is set to make a visit to Gainesville soon.

After being on the Florida coaching staff’s radar for over a year, four-star wide receiver [autotag]Chance Robinson[/autotag] was extended an offer last Friday.

Robinson, whom the On3 consensus lists as the No. 22 player in the state of Florida, told On3 that Florida’s wide receivers coach Keary Colbert broke the news to him last week. The 6-foot-1-inch, 180-pound junior let Corey Bender know that Colbert is very close with Ron Hardge, his position coach at St. Thomas Aquinas.

That relationship is one of many that will be needed to have Robinson become a part of the Gators’ 2024 recruiting class. The first step is to get Robinson on campus for a visit, something that is currently in the works. Even though Robinson already took a visit to Gainesville last April, that was before holding an official offer from the Orange and Blue. They’ll have to fight off a number of schools to get Robinson on campus, though.

Robinson holds over 30 offers from programs such as Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Miami, Auburn, Ole Miss and Florida State, with the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) giving the ‘Noles an edge with a 36.4% chance of landing Robinson’s services.
