What a reaction!

Drew Goins continues to entertain us on Jeopardy!

After the contestant got so excited to nail a Taylor Swift clue after missing one after his first time he was on, this time he whiffed on a Celine Dion clue … after he thanked the singer on the air during his Q&A with Ken Jennings.

MORE JEOPARDY: Contestants totally failed an easy Super Bowl Final Jeopardy

As you’ll see, the clue was: “Sharing its title with an earlier more upbeat Huey Lewis hit, it was No. 1 for Celine Dion in 1994.”

Drew couldn’t remember the answer: “What is The Power of Love?”

So what did he do? He walked off the stage. Perfect reaction!

SNL parodies Celine Dion’s SNF promo with Ariana Grande’s perfect imitation

Grande’s impersonation of Dion is perfectly on point.

Last week, Sunday Night Football put together a promo video that featured the iconic Canadian singer Celine Dion talking about the power of the sport. This week, Saturday Night Live made its own version with host Ariana Grande breaking out her perfect imitation of the powerhouse.

Instead of a football-focused promo, Grande’s Dion instead hyped up the beauty of UFC. Grande sang Dion’s classic “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” with slight lyric tweaks to highlight the brutal sport.

Grande has imitated Dion’s singing style before on the Tonight Show Jimmy Fallon and on That’s My Jam alongside Kelly Clarkson.

Is Celine Dion French? Why the singer was reportedly chosen for the Paris Olympics opening ceremony

Here’s the answer.

Celine Dion is the best. Let’s get that out of the way. Of course she should be performing at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony, especially after what she’s been through.

But if you specifically want to know the answer to the question above? We have that answer.

Is Celine Dion French? The answer is no! She’s Canadian, though, hailing from Quebec, so she speaks French!

And why is she there? Because she’s Celine Dion! After battling stiff person syndrome, she’s appeared at the 2024 Grammys, delivered the Boston Bruins’ lineup in their locker room and made a great appearance at the 2024 NHL Draft.

So if she’s performing, it’s a HUGE deal.

Celine Dion made a dramatic NHL Draft appearance to announce Canadiens selection

Celine Dion delivered the most dramatic NHL draft selection of all time.

NHL teams enlisted the help of celebrity guest pickers to announce first-round selections in Friday night’s 2024 NHL Draft, with former San Jose Sharks star Joe Thornton announcing the team’s first overall pick, Macklin Celebrini.

When it came to the Montreal Canadiens’ pick at No. 5 overall, however, they brought some real star power to the table.

In a stunner, world-famous singer and Quebec native Celine Dion took the stage, and she certainly brought some drama to the affair. After quite a bit of fanfare and extended pauses, she announced the selection of Russian winger Ivan Demidov of SKA Saint Petersburg in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Even the broadcasters described the pick as the most dramatic of all time.

After beginning his NHL career with a celebrity photo-op, Demidov will join one of the league’s most historically successful teams in Montreal, which has won 24 Stanley Cups, though it’s searching for its first since 1993.

The Habs got close in 2021, reaching the Stanley Cup Finals, but they’ve missed the postseason in each of the last three campaigns. With Demidov, they’ll hope their fortune changes.

Celine Dion played air guitar and delivered the Bruins lineup in amazing videos

Celine Dion remains the best.

Celine Dion has dealt with some serious health problems as of late, but her appearance at the Grammys was a heartening thing to see.

Now, we’ve got her amazing appearance at the Boston Bruins’ game on Thursday against the New York Rangers. Not only did she appear with her kids on the scoreboard as the fan of the game, but she also did a little air guitar with the cameras on her.

And then, we need to talk about her starting lineup read in the Bruins locker room. She took the job seriously even if she got some laughs and sang a little bit.

This is gold:

Let’s just shut down the ‘Taylor Swift snubbed Celine Dion at the Grammys’ talk immediately

Stop it.

Hey, internet? Can we talk here?

Yeah, hi. We know you all like controversy, and particularly right now you like saying some wild things about Taylor Swift. So let’s take a second and shut down this “Taylor Swift totally snubbed Celine Dion at the 2024 Grammys” talk.

To recap: the legendary Dion surprised everyone by appearing on stage to present Album of the Year as she battles stiff-person syndrome, a neurological disorder that includes muscle spasms that affect everything from walking to singing.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

After she revealed that Swift won the award for Midnights, she excitedly hugged everyone on stage, but she didn’t appear to say much or anything to Dion, who gave her the Grammy.

Now: did you catch Swift giving her a standing ovation just minutes earlier?

Or what about the idea that Swift might have been nervous about hugging her given Dion’s diagnosis? And that they hugged later on in the night?

So let’s pump the brakes here, OK?

Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the Grammys to present Best Album

Celine Dion!

Despite her recent health struggles, music icon Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the end of Sunday’s Grammys ceremony to present the Best Album award.

The entire crowd stood to give Dion a standing ovation as she gave out the biggest award of the night to fellow icon Taylor Swift for her album Midnights.

“I’m happy to be here,” Dion told the adoring crowd before she gave out the award. “I really mean it from my heart.”

It’s always really heartening to see a beloved artist like Dion make a public appearance like this after news of a difficult health diagnosis, and she did a fantastic job helping close out the ceremony.

Dion won the Best Album Grammy back in 1997 for her record Falling into You.

We’re thrilled that Dion was able to make it to this year’s Grammys, and we hope we hear more from her in the time to come.

NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney lip-synching to a Céline Dion classic is perfection

Take a bow, Ryan Blaney.

Ryan Blaney is a man of many talents: NASCAR driver, heavy metal screamer, aspiring Jedi, grizzly lumberjack beard grower. And now, thanks to one of racing’s best social media videos ever, he can add fabulous Céline Dion lip-syncing impersonator to his resume as well.

The 28-year-old Team Penske driver was shooting some NASCAR season promos Wednesday when apparently things turned musical. Blaney didn’t just walk through that open door; he blasted it open with the glamour and attitude of a show-stopping Broadway star — costume to match (almost).

Forget the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season. Blaney already won it before it even started with his spectacular lip-synching performance to a clip of Dion’s It’s All Coming Back to Me Now. It’s only 13 seconds, but they’re 13 tremendous seconds that briefly transform a green-screen set into a Vegas stage.

An incredible song, of course — and one that’s probably impossible for most people on Earth sing well — but Blaney’s lip-synching version of it is near perfect. Sure, he seems to stumble a tad early on with the lyrics:

“There were nights of endless pleasure
It was more than all your laws allow”

But when “Baby, baby, baby” hits, that’s when Blaney really picks up steam.

He ditches his cape, tosses his glasses away with the gusto and pizzazz of an outraged movie star and grabs what looks like some kind of broom/microphone before adding, “When you touch me like this…” With his right hand holding the mic and left hand sassily on his hip, Blaney was ready for this dazzling moment, a thespian masquerading as a NASCAR driver.

The passionate emotions of the iconic song radiate from Blaney like a jolt of energy — or, in a much literal sense, like the highlighter shades on his Menards fire suit. His unwavering eye contact drags you in even closer.

With a performance like this, he makes you feel every word in the lyrics course through your veins — Céline accompanying him or not.

And he clearly feels it too, faux belting it out with all his might, as if it’s the finale reprise of a legendary show destined to be a fixture in musical theater circles, just minutes ahead of the final curtain call.

The NASCAR world has never seen a performance like this and may never again simply because it’s seemingly impossible to top. For that, we must say: Take a bow, Ryan Blaney. And thank you.

How Céline Dion found herself in the middle of a Canadiens and Golden Knights photo ‘controversy’

A ridiculous, weird and funny faux controversy.

Before the Montreal Canadiens eliminated the Vegas Golden Knights with a 3-2 overtime win in Game 6 Thursday night, Céline Dion — a Quebec native and one of their most famous fans — had to clarify exactly where her allegiance lies.

Because Canadiens fans were furious this week (in a mostly tongue-in-cheek way).

Tuesday before Game 5 in Las Vegas, an image of Dion in a black jersey and a black helmet with “Vegas” written on it appeared on the video board at T-Mobile Arena.

The superstar Grammy Award winner — who’s had multiple, years-long residencies performing in Las Vegas for the last two decades — looked intense and clearly like a Golden Knights fan, which irked Habs fans everywhere.

Obviously, it gives off the impression that she switched teams and wanted Vegas to win.

The Montreal Gazette even labeled her a traitor, while CBC described the situation as “scandalous.”

This pre-game image caused such a faux controversy that Dion ended up addressing the situation on Twitter. Although she didn’t explicitly say “Go Habs” or anything similar, she said she had nothing to do with the image.

After wishing her followers a Happy Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, Dion wrote:

“By the way, I have nothing to do with this photo…. And you know what photo I’m talking about! 😉 – Céline xx…”

Makes sense because the photo appears to have been edited, and Montreal fans seemed relieved. And now their team is playing in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1993.
