Bucs reveal uniform combo for NFC Divisional Round vs. Lions

The Bucs are going with what has become somewhat of a playoff classic for the team in recent years against the Lions.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been no strangers to playoffs on the road as of late. As such, they’re set to don a uniform combo that could be considered somewhat of a classic when it comes to postseason football.

The team announced Wednesday that it’s scheduled to wear white jerseys over pewter pants against the Detroit Lions, who have first pick on uniforms as the home team. The combo should be familiar to Bucs fans, as the team has worn it for most playoff games since 2020.

The Bucs wore it for three out of their four games in 2020 that saw the team win a Super Bowl, going red over pewter for the first game —much like the Bucs did this year. Tampa Bay wore white over pewter in 2021 for both of its playoff games that year and then wore it for its Wild Card game against the Dallas Cowboys in 2022.

As it stands, the Bucs are 4-2 in this combo since 2020 in the playoffs. Hopefully that brings a bit of good luck, as the team will need it when they play the Lions on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Wild Card matchup vs. Eagles

The Bucs lost when they wore red against the Eagles the first time the two played, but that isn’t deterring them this time around.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are many things, but don’t call them superstitious.

The team is playing the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round at home on Monday night, and it announced on Wednesday that it will wear a red over pewter combo for the game. Wearing the red jerseys is an interesting move — the team wore red jerseys against the Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 3 and lost that game 25-11.

The Bucs are 1-2 in red uniforms this season, counting that game, and 1-1 in red over pewter. The team annihilated the Jacksonville Jaguars in that color combo 30-12 on Christmas Eve but lost to the New Orleans Saints in the same uniform 23-13 the next week.

The team is well known for its white jerseys from its 2020 Super Bowl run, but the first game that team played against the Washington Commanders was this exact combo — perhaps the Bucs will repeat the trend Monday night.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 18 at Panthers

The Bucs are going with their most-worn combo this year for the final game of the 2023-24 season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going with a tried and true combo for their last game of the regular season in Week 18.

The team announced on Sunday that it’ll wear its white-over-pewter combo on the road against the Carolina Panthers, who will likely wear either white or black. The team will have a chance to clinch the division in these uniforms with a win.

With our final tally, the Bucs will now have worn these uniforms eight times across the season. As it stands, the team in 4-3 in these uniforms, and this game will make them the most-worn combo for the team this year just ahead of white-over-white. The Bucs are also known for this combo due to its presence during Tampa Bay’s 2020 Super Bowl run, so they are perhaps trying to evoke some of that energy in a must-win game against the Carolina Panthers.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 17 vs. Saints

So nice, they’ll wear it twice.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had only worn red once before their Week 16 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now that it’s the holiday season, the team seems a bit more open to it.

The Bucs wore red over pewter in their big Christmas Eve win against the Jaguars, and when they go to play the New Orleans Saints in a game that could see them clinch the NFC South and head to the playoffs, they’ll wear it again — the team announced Thursday it intends to wear red over pewter for the second week in a row when they play on New Year’s Eve.

Tampa Bay has only worn this specific combo once this year, of course, so they’re just 1-0 when wearing it. If you count just the red jerseys, the team is 1-1, as it wore them in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football and lost that game. Fans have gotten their wish with Tampa Bay wearing more red, so it will be interesting to see how long the team keeps it up — especially if they make the playoffs.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 16 vs. Jaguars

Many Bucs fans are getting a Christmas gift they’ve been asking for all year.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a three-game win streak and feeling festive, and as a result, they’re giving fans a gift they’ve been asking for all year on Christmas Eve.

The team announced on social media that it is set to wear red over pewter for the very first time in 2023 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 24 at Raymond James Stadium. This will mark the second time the team has worn red this year, the previous outing coming in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles in a 25-11 loss.

The Bucs have been very stringent about wearing White this year, wearing it 13 of the team’s 14 previous games. The team has favored the color in the beginning of the year due to the Florida heat, but it has also adapted it more often recently due to its usage when the team wore it for the last three games of its 2020 Super Bowl run with quarterback Tom Brady. Fans have been vocal about wanting the team to wear more red, and the day before Christmas, those fans are getting their wish.

The team wore white pants when they played the Eagles, but will wear red over pewter for the first time this year and for the first time since Week 13 in 2022 in a win over the New Orleans Saints.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 15

Good things happened the last time the Bucs wore this combo at Lambeau Field.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have revealed their uniform combo for Week 15, and if you’re superstitious, it should come as no surprise.

The Bucs announced Wednesday that they’re wearing their white over pewter combo at the Frozen Tundra against the Green Bay Packers. The pick has some history, as the team wore this same set when they defeated the Packers in the NFC Championship to book their ticket to the Super Bowl in the 2020 season.

This combo will pull ahead again for the most-worn combo from the Bucs, with this set to be the sixth time it appears in 2023. Tampa Bay is 3-2 in these uniforms, with the most recent win coming against the Carolina Panthers at home two weeks ago in Week 13. The team hasn’t broken out the red uniforms since Week 3, but Christmas Eve against the Jacksonville Jaguars for Week 16 would be a good time to do it as any.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 14

The Bucs are going with the same uniform they wore the last time they played the Falcons.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are nothing if not consistent when it comes to uniforms.

The team announced Wednesday that it’s going with its white-on-white uniforms on Sunday in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs wore that same uniform against Atlanta when the Falcons came to Tampa, where they lost 16-13 — they’ll hope it goes differently this time around.

The Bucs are 2-2 when wearing white-over-white this year, and once the Bucs take the field with these uniforms, they’ll have worn them five times. That’ll tie the combo for the most-worn combo this year, which is held at the moment by the team’s white-over-pewter combination. The Bucs have only worn four different uniforms in 2023, as they’ve also used a red-over-white combo once and their all-pewter uniforms once as well.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 13

It’s colder outside, but the Bucs still won’t bring out their red jerseys.

Another game, another white jersey.

The Bucs got a little zesty in Week 12 by bringing out their pewter uniforms, but it’s back to our regularly scheduled programming in Week 13. Tampa Bay is set to play the Carolina Panthers at home on Sunday, and when they do, they’ll be donning their now-classic white-over-pewter look.

The Bucs traditionally wait until it is a bit colder to break out their red jerseys, but they still won’t bring them out — the team has only done so once, in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles on prime time. The team has worn their white-over-pewter combo quite a bit, with this being the fifth time. The team is 2-2 when wearing these uniforms, with their most recent appearance in San Francisco two weeks ago resulting in a loss. This game will make this combo the team’s most-worn this year, right ahead of its white-on-white combo that has been worn four times.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 12

It took a while, but the Bucs are breaking out their alternates when they head to Indianapolis.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the road, but for the first time since Week 3, they aren’t wearing their white uniforms.

The team announced on social media Wednesday that it will wear its pewter uniforms against the Indianapolis Colts on the road. This marks only the second time the team has worn anything but white uniforms this year, with the first time being in that Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

The Bucs haven’t worn pewter a lot, as it’s the team’s third uniform. Tampa Bay has used it a total of four times in its history — it wore them twice in 2020, the first time away against the Denver Broncos and the second time at home against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs won both of those games, but have lost the remaining two, losing to the Los Angeles Rams against them on the road in 2021 and losing to the Cincinnati Bengals at home with them in 2022. As a result, the team is 2-2 with the pewter uniforms, so Sunday’s game will be definitive in finding out just how well Tampa Bay does when wearing them.

Bucs reveal uniform combo for Week 11

The Bucs are using the same uniform combo for the second week in a row when they head to San Francisco.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are sticking with what works for Week 11 on Sunday.

The Bucs are set to wear white over pewter once again against the San Francisco 49ers, bringing back what has been one of the team’s most frequent uniforms this year. Tampa Bay has still only worn their red uniforms a single time this year, but wearing white this weekend is understandable since the Bucs are away and the 49ers get to choose their uniforms first.

With this announcement, the Bucs will have worn white over pewter four times this year, which ties it with white over white for the most frequent combo. The team is 2-1 wearing this combo so far this year, defeating the Minnesota Vikings and the Tennessee Titans and dropping a game to the Buffalo Bills.
