This Mike Evans workout video certainly made Tom Brady happy

The Buccaneers posted a video on Instagram of WR Mike Evans working out, which made quarterback Tom Brady very happy.

Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is looking for his seventh-straight 1,000-yard season in 2020, which would make him the only player ever to begin his career with such a streak.

Things will be made easier this year with Tom Brady under center for the Bucs. While the pair have been hitting the field together at a local Tampa prep school, they’ll look to get in even more work together once training camp begins in a few weeks (we hope).

In the meantime, though, Evans has been working out on his own to get himself ready for the season. The Buccaneers recently posted a video on Instagram of Evans working out, and Tampa Bay’s new quarterback left a comment giving his stamp of approval.

M1K3 putting in work 😤

Glad to see Brady appreciating the work Evans is putting in. While Evans will have a shot at history this season, it’ll be Brady who will bear the responsibility of getting him the ball.

No pressure.

How We Got Here: A look at Mike Evans’ historic career

Bucs WR Mike Evans will go for history in 2020 if he can snag his seventh-straight 1,000-yard receiving season.

All eyes will be on Tom Brady when the 2020 season rolls around for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the six-time Super Bowl champion will look to guide the Bucs back to the postseason for the first time in over a decade.

Brady’s job will be made easier by the fact that he’ll not only have former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski by his side, but also Pro Bowl wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

While Brady will rightly garner most of the attention next season from the media, Evans will be the one chasing history. With another 1,000-yard receiving season, Evans will become the first receiver in NFL history to begin his career with seven-straight 1,000-yard seasons. He currently holds the record at six along with Hall of Famer Randy Moss.

As Evans chases glory in 2020, let’s take a look back now at each year of his career to find see how we got here.

Bucs S Antoine Winfield Jr. enjoys a little Sunday Funday

Buccaneers rookie safety Antoine Winfield enjoyed a little time outside by the grill on Father’s Day.

Training camp is just around the corner, so NFL players everywhere are enjoying the last few weeks of rest and relaxation before beginning the grind towards the 2020 regular season.

While Tom Brady is the biggest new name in the Bucs’ locker room, the team also has a fresh crop of rookies ready to help Tampa Bay make a postseason run. One of those high-prized draft picks is safety Antoine Winfield Jr., who was taken in round two of April’s NFL draft (No. 45 overall).

The younger Winfield went on Instagram yesterday to wish his father, and former NFL Pro Bowl cornerback, Antoine Winfield Sr. a happy Father’s Day. And, it appears junior enjoyed some time out by the grill Sunday, too. (No word on whether or not dad joined in.)

Will Tom Brady be bad for fantasy football owners in 2020?

Tom Brady will be taking over a loaded Buccaneers offense, but is it possible he won’t be as big a fantasy football star as some hope?

The Buccaneers went just 7-9 last season during Jameis Winston’s historically bizarre season in which he threw for 5,109 yards, 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. While the former Heisman Trophy winner had hoped to secure a long-term contract from the Bucs for his 2019 performance, the team opted instead to let him walk after they signed Tom Brady to take over the offense.

While Brady is almost guaranteed to find some form of success in an offense that features both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, not to mention All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski, many are wondering if the six-time Super Bowl champion will be the fantasy football star they are hoping he will be.

Bucs writer Greg Auman of The Athletic recently joined The Athletic‘s fantasy football podcast to discuss that and other topics. Here’s a snippet on his thoughts about Brady.

Bruce Arians is here to give you tips on how to stop the spread of COVID-19

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians took part in a video to help educate the community on how to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Adam Schefter reported over the weekend that two players on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tested positive for the coronavirus, this coming after a coach on the staff tested positive earlier last week.

The NFLPA has advised players to avoid working out together in groups until training camp begins next month, something quarterback Tom Brady and several of his new teammates have been doing recently at a local Tampa prep school.

As the league manages the ongoing pandemic, Bucs head coach Bruce Arians took part in a video for Hillsborough County where he gave some safety tips to fans on how to stay clean during this time to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Take a look.

Tom Brady posts heartwarming Father’s Day message on Instagram

Bucs QB Tom Brady posted a heartwarming message to his dad on Instagram that shows the true strength of their relationship.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dad’s out there, both young and old!

Today, several NFL players, including Bucs rookie safety Antoine Winfield Jr., took to social media to give their dads a special shoutout. Bucs quarterback Tom Brady also posted a message to his dad, and it’s definitely worth a read. It gives you a much more personal look at their relationship from Brady’s eyes.

And given the number of times we’ve seen Brady embrace his father after winning a Super Bowl, it gives us a better look at the man who helped raise the G.O.A.T. into the man, and father, he is today.

HFD Pops!!! I am so grateful to have you always by my side. From as early as I can remember, there was NEVER a moment where you didn’t have the time for me. Whether you drove me to Terry Whitfield’s batting cage in Burlingame at 8pm after dinner the night before a big game, or brought me to CSM to have football Coach Tom Martinez tune me up before the football season, or whether I would visit you at your office and you would write down math problems on your yellow note book to keep me busy, you always followed thru and showed me the way. You taught me how to treat others and you worked every day of your life to provide your kids with an opportunity to follow their dreams! This picture was taken 6 years ago, at a course you and I never could have dreamed of playing together, Augusta National. Dreams really do come true! But when I think of someone who would give anything in the world to make my dreams come true, it always comes back to you! I pray we have many more years together on and off the golf course, and I will try my best to emulate you as I parent three kids of my own! HFD ❤️❤️ love always, your son

Adam Schein ranks NFC South the NFL’s best division by quarterback

The NFC South is stacked at quarterback, which is why Adam Schein of NFL.com had them at the top of this list.

Buccaneers fans are still basking in the glow of Tom Brady being officially unveiled in his Bucs uniform yesterday. But for NFL fans everywhere, the first look of Brady in a Tampa Bay uni helped reinforce the fact that the six-time Super Bowl champion will now be joining a division featuring both Drew Brees and Matt Ryan.

Brady was a steady constant under center in New England over two decades, while other AFC teams like the Bills, Jets and Dolphins all struggled to find a franchise guy to call their own. Suffice it to say, 2020’s divisional race will be one unlike Brady has ever experienced before.

With a division featuring three future Hall of Fame quarterbacks, it’s no surprise that Adam Schein of NFL.com ranked the NFC South as the league’s best division by quarterback.

Per Schein:

“I really don’t think there’s much of a debate here. Brady is the G.O.A.T., and he’s still playing at a much higher level than some people seem to think. In fact, I expect Brady to be amazing in Year 1 with the Buccaneers, throwing the ball to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Brady hasn’t had a receiving duo this good since peak Randy Moss/Wes Welker, and the QB ran roughshod over the league with those guys. I think Evans is the second-most-talented receiver Brady’s ever thrown to (minus the cup of coffee with Antonio Brown). Evans and Godwin will be the top receiving tandem in football in 2020. Oh, and old friend Rob Gronkowski will help Brady early as a security blanket, with the G.O.A.T. tight end joining a position group that already includes enticing weapons O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate.”

For those wondering, the AFC East, in its first year post-Brady, found itself seventh on Schein’s list. In last place? The NFC East. (Ouch.)

Bucs fans go crazy on Twitter over Tom Brady in his Buccaneers jersey

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released official photos of Tom Brady in a Bucs jersey. See how Twitter reacted.

Today, the Buccaneers gave fans what they’ve been waiting for — official pictures of Tom Brady in his Bucs jerseys.

The former New England Patriot hasn’t been seen donning his new threads since signing with the Buccaneers back in March. And with the team unveiling new uniforms back in April, people have been eagerly awaiting the first look of the Hall of Fame QB in a more classic-looking Bucs uniform.

The legendary quarterback looks great in these new threads, and it kind of makes you realize how boring the Patriots’ uniforms were before their latest upgrade.

Suffice it to say, fans on Twitter went crazy over Brady’s new look. Check out some of their tweets below.

Devin White tells Tom Brady he’s got his back

Bucs linebacker Devin White took to Twitter to let Tom Brady know he’ll handle “the D Block.”

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans were given a treat today when the team tweeted out photos of quarterback Tom Brady wearing his fresh new threads.

While it may be hard for some to see Brady in a jersey other than a New England Patriots one, there’s no denying the future Hall of Famer looks good.

With a fresh look and fresh quarterback, Tampa Bay is looking to make a Super Bowl run in 2020, which is a big ask considering they finished just 7-9 last year. But, when you have Brady under center, anything is possible.

And Bucs linebacker Devin White wants Brady to know that while the Golden Boy handles the offense, he’s got his back on the defensive side.

Check out the below tweet from White directed at his new quarterback.

This team already looks like it has some great chemistry developing between them, especially between Brady and center Ryan Jensen.

2020 is going to be a fun season.

Former Arians QB on the deep ball: ‘Bruce wants to take those shots’

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Tim Couch said that Bruce Arians is one of the rare coaches who likes to take the deep shots.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers boast the league’s best passing attack thanks to Pro Bowl receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. And with six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady now heading this offense, the Bucs could put up historic numbers in 2020.

The Bucs’ emphasis on the passing game shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, considering Bruce Arians has been known to take the deep shots more often than not. In a recent piece talking about how Arians can reignite Brady’s fire, Jenna Laine of ESPN spoke with former Cleveland Browns quarterback Tim Couch, who had Arians as his offensive coordinator from 2001-2003. The former number one overall pick out of Kentucky had plenty to say about his former OC and what Brady can expect playing in an Arians offense.

Per Couch:

“Bruce always says, ‘Let’s go touchdown to checkdown. Let’s read the field deep to short. You can’t throw the ball deep late, so obviously you’ve gotta take your shot if it’s there. If you get one-on-one coverage and you don’t take the shot, you’re gonna come off [the field, onto] the sideline and he’s gonna yell at you, because he wants you to throw it down the field. … A lot of coaches, they don’t want you to throw it deep. Long incompletions are kind of frowned upon and coaches don’t like that, but Bruce wants to take those shots.”

The biggest question mark swirling around Brady is whether or not he has the arm strength to get the ball deep to his receivers. Remember, he will be 43 years old by the time the season starts. The good news, though, is that according to ESPN Stats & Information, Brady threw seven touchdown passes of 20 or more air yards last year, his most since 2006. And, he won’t have to worry about throwing in the cold New England air anymore.
