Bucs fans go crazy on Twitter over Tom Brady in his Buccaneers jersey

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released official photos of Tom Brady in a Bucs jersey. See how Twitter reacted.

Today, the Buccaneers gave fans what they’ve been waiting for — official pictures of Tom Brady in his Bucs jerseys.

The former New England Patriot hasn’t been seen donning his new threads since signing with the Buccaneers back in March. And with the team unveiling new uniforms back in April, people have been eagerly awaiting the first look of the Hall of Fame QB in a more classic-looking Bucs uniform.

The legendary quarterback looks great in these new threads, and it kind of makes you realize how boring the Patriots’ uniforms were before their latest upgrade.

Suffice it to say, fans on Twitter went crazy over Brady’s new look. Check out some of their tweets below.

Tom Brady says ‘boys will be boys’ following informal workout with teammates

Bucs QB Tom Brady recently hit the field at a Tampa prep school with a few teammates. See what Brady had to say about it on Instagram.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady hit the field at a Tampa prep school yesterday with a few of his teammates to hold an informal workout. Given that the global pandemic has prevented players from getting into team facilities, they had to make do with what they could.

The workout gave Bucs fans their first chance to see Brady wearing a Tampa Bay helmet, but some may have found it questionable for the group to be working out together given social distancing norms.

Brady, it seems, isn’t worried about any criticism. For him, the workout means he’s one step closer to getting himself and his team ready for the 2020 season.

Take a look at this screenshot from Brady’s Instagram story.

Sorry not sorry.

Bucs CB Sean Murphy-Bunting explains his number change

Chris Godwin isn’t the only Bucs player switching numbers this offseason. Find out why CB Sean Murphy-Bunting made a switch.

Tom Brady taking over at quarterback wasn’t the only big change to happen for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason. The team also ditched their 2014 redesign and unveiled a more traditional look.

That means Brady will be donning No. 12 in uniforms that remind fans of the Bucs’ glory years, including their championship season in 2002. Brady’s arrival to Tampa Bay stirred mild controversy at first when many wondered whether Chris Godwin would give Brady the No. 12. Godwin, of course, did and will now wear No. 14.

But one other Buccaneer decided to make a number change this offseason, and that’s cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting. SMB, who was the team’s second-round pick in the 2019 draft, made the change from No. 26 to 23, and recently explained the reasoning behind the move.

A touching and good reason to change numbers, that’s for sure. Murphy-Bunting finished last season with three interceptions and one touchdown, and will be one of the key pieces in Tampa Bay’s secondary next season.

Los Angeles Rams are latest team to unveil new uniforms

Take a look at the new uniform design of the Los Angeles Rams.

Tampa Bay ushered in a new era of Bucs football this offseason by signing future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady and ditching their recent uniform redesign for something a bit more traditional.

But the Bucs weren’t the only team to make a change to their look this offseason. The Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers and even Brady’s old team, the New England Patriots, have gotten in on the makeover trend.

Today, the Los Angeles Rams threw their new look out into the wind for people to enjoy (and criticize). Take a look at the new Rams unis below.

They are… fine. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel or make you want to run out and exchange your old Rams jersey for a new one. It’s simple and safe, which is probably for the best. And at least they look more like their classic jerseys from yesteryear.

Adam Rank of NFL.com seems to be a fan of just two new uniform redesigns.

At least the Bucs made his list.

CB Sean Murphy-Bunting is changing his jersey number

Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting is switching numbers. See which one SMB will wear now.

It’s been an offseason of changes for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, from getting a new quarterback in Tom Brady to (thankfully) getting new uniforms that are a callback to the team’s glory days. We’ve also seen wide receiver Chris Godwin change his jersey number from 12 to 14 so that TB12 could still be… well, you know.

With all the changes, why not throw one more into the mix? Cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, who was selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft, will be switching from 26 to 23, which was worn by Deone Bucannon last year when Murphy-Bunting was a rookie. Bucannon was cut from the team last October.

I’ll admit, SMB23 does have a nice ring to it. And again, how great are the uniforms?

Ranking the four uniform redesigns from this offseason

Let’s take a look at the new uniforms these four NFL teams unveiled this offseason and see which takes the prize for best new look.

The Cleveland Browns came out today and unveiled their newly redesigned uniforms, which are a callback to their champion days (yes, they did win a championship before).

The Browns are one of four franchises, including the Colts, Falcons and Buccaneers, who unveiled new looks this offseason. Some are great, some are meh and some don’t seem that different at all.

With that, let’s rank the uniform redesigns from worst to first. (I think we all know who’s going to end up in the top spot.)

A brief look at the Bucs’ jerseys over the years

Take a look now at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ jerseys through the years.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave their fans a treat today by unveiling their new uniforms for 2020. As most people can see, the jerseys are pretty much a callback to the uniforms they wore prior to the 2014 redesign, which didn’t go over as well as the team had hoped.

That means new Bucs quarterback Tom Brady won’t have to wear those alarm clock numbers now. Instead, the Bucs can kick off the Brady era in style. Plus, if a return to the playoffs is in their future, they want to look their best, especially if it’ll be their first postseason appearance in over a decade.

Some fans are certainly a little disappointed to see that the Bucs didn’t go even further back in their redesign by bringing back the creamsicle jerseys of yesteryear. Still, the new look is better than what they had.

Take a look now at the Bucs’ jerseys through the years.

Not to be that guy, but that first picture is incorrect in terms of the year. The Bucs’ inaugural season was 1976, but the quarterback in the picture above is none other than Doug Williams, who was drafted by the Bucs in the 1978 draft.

So, who was Tampa Bay’s quarterback in 1976? Just some guy named Steve Spurrier.

Buccaneers unveil new uniforms to usher in the Tom Brady era

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers unveiled their new uniforms today, which will help kick off the Tom Brady era in Tampa.

When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers unveiled their old redesigned uniforms back in 2014, the reactions were swift and harsh. The sleek, classic pewter and red look was gone, instead replaced by a futuristic design with alarm clock numbers.

Suffice it to say, the new look did not age well, which is why the Bucs made the decision to correct that error this offseason. Today, they unveiled their new look, which you can check out below.

What a difference. A new look for a new era. Thank goodness we won’t have to see Tom Brady in alarm clock numbers next year. In fact, this new look may make Brady look even better than he did in a Patriots jersey.

Just saying.

Buccaneers set date for new uniform reveal

Find out when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan to unveil their new uniforms.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans shouldn’t just be celebrating the fact that Tom Brady is now their quarterback. They should also be rejoicing that they won’t have to see TB12 wearing alarm clock numbers next season.

The Bucs, who last went through a jersey redesign back in 2014, have decided to make a change after the feedback on the new uniforms was less than stellar. We got word back in February that the Bucs would be unveiling their new threads in April.

Today, we got the official date.

If you are anxious to see what the jerseys might look like, here’s a sneak peek. And, take a look at how Bucs players reacted to seeing the new uniforms.

Tom Brady will still be TB12; Chris Godwin changes number

Tom Brady will be wearing his infamous No. 12 jersey next season when he suits up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The great debate is finally over, and Bucs fans everywhere can get ready to buy their official TB12 jerseys, as Tom Brady has accepted Chris Godwin’s offer of the No. 12.

It was the biggest question surrounding the Bucs since Brady officially signed with them after ending his 20-year run with the New England Patriots. Godwin, who’d worn the number since his high school days in Delaware, graciously gave up the number for the six-time Super Bowl champion, and will change to No. 14 instead.

It’s a great way for Brady and Godwin to kick off their friendship. Hopefully, Brady can repay him by throwing a few extra passes his way next season.
