2017 could’ve easily been the year Evans’ quest for history came to an end. He eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark by just two yards. In Week 17’s win over the New Orleans Saints, he caught five passes for 55 yards to help him get across the finish line. While he didn’t have the stat line like he did in 2016, this season showed Evans’ toughness, as he ground out 1,000 yards despite the fact that he only had one 100-yard game.
