S Rodney McLeod Jr. leaves game with biceps injury

Cleveland Browns safety Rodney McLeod Jr. exited the Pittsburgh Steelers game with a biceps injury.

Cleveland Browns safety Rodney McLeod Jr. left the Week 11 game during the fourth quarter with an injury. McLeod was injured while attempting to tackle Steelers running back Jaylen Warren. McLeod immediately went to the medical tent after the play with a biceps injury. McLeod has been ruled out of the game.

McLeod started in place of Juan Thornhill, who missed the game with an injury. Undrafted free agent Ronnie Hickman Jr. from Ohio State will finish the game for McLeod. The Browns need good play from Hickman as the Steelers’ running backs are marching down the field against the Cleveland Browns. The game is currently tied 10-10 with 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Browns: LB Anthony Walker Jr. questionable with hamstring injury vs. Steelers

Browns LB Anthony Walker Jr. leaves Steelers game with a hamstring injury. He is questionable to return.

In the second quarter, Cleveland Browns linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. exited the game with a hamstring injury. The veteran is being treated in the locker room and he’s questionable to return. Walker Jr. has played very well this season, completely recovering from a torn quadricep he suffered against the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. This has often been the case for the veteran linebacker this season.

As the signal caller, Walker has been an integral part of the Browns’ historically dominant defense. Browns’ veteran Sione Takitaki replaced Walker in the defense. Takitaki is a highly capable linebacker and should have no problem replacing Walker against the Steelers.

The Cleveland Browns are currently beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 7-0 halfway through the second quarter. No matter who is on the field for the Browns, the Steelers are struggling to move the ball.

Can they continue to hold up and pull out yet another win?

Browns Week 8 snap count: Cornerback, running back usage interesting

Taking a look at Sunday’s snap counts a few things stand out including usage for corners and running backs and the snap count difference between the two teams:

The Cleveland Browns lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in a very winnable game. Injuries always play a role, at least lately, for the Browns and Sunday was no different. On top of players like Denzel Ward, Kareem Hunt and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah already out, the team lost Jack Conklin and John Johnson III during the game.

Taking a look at snaps counts often finds some interesting totals after a game that are hard to discern while the game is going on. With missing players, it is interesting to see how snaps were divvied out.

Total snaps this week also told a tale. Pittsburgh had 74 snaps on offense while Cleveland only had 59. The inverse snaps totals then were true for each defense.

Browns struggle, lay egg in Week 8 loss to the Steelers: What we saw from Cleveland

Quite a few problems to sort out from the Browns inexcusable loss to the Steelers in Week 8:

The Cleveland Browns had an inexcusable loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8. The team was flat on offense, made a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball and couldn’t get the important stop when needed on defense.

In the end, the team is 4 – 4 and in last place in the AFC North.

Trying to find some simple positives is difficult. With the Baltimore Ravens on a bye this week, the Browns are only 1.5 games back in the AFC North with five more games against division foes. Only one team in the AFC will come out of Week 8 with more than five victories.

The negatives are many as we walk through the Week 8 loss with a few areas where we can find some positives to go with the negatives:

Browns Vs Steelers: Watch Cleveland highlights here

Watch all the Browns highlights from their Week 8 Halloween matchup with the Steelers:

The Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers matchup on Halloween for an important AFC North matchup in Week 8. The Browns have a solid 4 – 3 record going into the game while the Steelers are 3 – 3.

Cleveland has beaten Pittsburgh two straight games including the playoff victory in 2020. The Steelers have been at or near the top of the division for a long time while the Browns have struggled for years.

The home team wants to continue the process of changing those facts in the rivarly. With Ben Roethlisberger in (perhaps) his last season in the NFL, this could be Cleveland’s fans last chance to see him in person.

Keeping you up to date on all the big highlights for the Browns in Week 8’s matchup here:
