Browns elevating 2 from practice squad for divisional matchup vs. Bengals

The Browns are elevating two defensive players for their bout with the Bengals.

Just as they do every week, the Cleveland Browns are elevating two players from the practice squad for their AFC North divisional matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Joining the active roster tomorrow are linebacker Tae Davis, who just rejoined the team after spending two years in Cleveland, and safety Mike Brown.

This will be the third time Brown has been elevated from the practice squad, meaning the Browns can no long elevate him over the last five weeks of the season. Brown has been a staple on special teams, racking up 37 snaps total on kick return, kickoff coverage, punt return, and punt coverage.

Browns vs. Bengals: Who wins the uniform matchup this Sunday?

Who will have the superior aesthetic when the Browns and Bengals take the field tomorrow?

The Cleveland Browns are looking to make it three straight wins as they travel just a few hours south to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. Before the actual game is played, there is an important matchup that needs to be decided first: the uniform matchup. Who takes home the hardware here between the Browns vs. Bengals?

The Browns will once again roll out their orange pants against the Bengals tomorrow. They did so in the Halloween blowout win, and this time they are stacking the white uniform on top of them.

This look is crisp and clean and hard to top.

The Bengals will be wearing their black uniforms on white pants. This combination is not quite as appealing to the eye as the Browns’ combination as the Bengals are sporting three different colors from top to bottom. The orange helmet, black uniform, and white pants are just too many colors.

This uniform matchup goes to the Browns in a landslide. Clear eyes, orange pants, can’t lose.

Week 14 Injury Report: Amari Cooper only player with injury designation vs. Bengals

How healthy are the Browns going into their Week 14 matchup against the Bengals?

The Cleveland Browns are now just two days away from making a trip down I-71 South to take on their AFC North rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals. If the Browns beat the Bengals, it would make the sixth straight win over their in-state rivals, as head coach Kevin Stefanski has never lost to them. The Browns are relatively healthy going into this Week 14 matchup as well, as wide receiver Amari Cooper is the only player listed with an injury designation with a hip injury suffered in the win over the Houston Texans.

Who else showed up on Friday’s injury report? We take a look here.

Browns’ top receiver listed as questionable vs. Bengals with a hip injury

The only player with an injury designation against the Bengals is a big one.

As the Cleveland Browns look to make it three-in-a-row as they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals this weekend, the status of one of their top playmakers remains up in the air. Missing practice on Friday with a hip injury, wide receiver Amari Cooper has officially been listed as questionable against the Bengals.

Claiming wide receiver Jaelon Darden after his release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Browns may have to rely on him more than anticipated in his first week. To soften the potential blow, the Browns will see tight end David Njoku return, and still have Donovan Peoples-Jones who continues to make plays.

Browns snap counts versus Bengals in Week 9

Down a starting receiver, the Browns gave more snaps to tight ends while balancing snaps at receiver. One receiver surprisingly only got 3 snaps while the defense rotated linemen regularly:

The Cleveland Browns got the huge victory in Week 9 to help them keep pace in both the division and the conference. The AFC, as a whole, and the AFC North, in particular, are deep with a lot of parity.

We learned a lot about the Browns, at least for one week, in their victory over their in-state rival. The Bengals had some quality victories on their resume so far this year, taking out the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

Cleveland played a balanced game on offense while getting a great performance from their defense especially their secondary. The team is starting to get players back from the injured reserve which will create even more interesting information among snap counts.

The two biggest names left to return are Kareem Hunt and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah but this week say the return of Andy Janovich and Nick Harris with MJ Stewart also eligible to be activated.

Here are this week’s Browns snap counts:

Browns destroy the Bengals in Week 9: What we learned

A whole lot of fun to takeaway from the Browns Week 9 victory. Garrett setting up for history, team’s goals attainable and much, much more:

The Cleveland Browns handled the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9 in a vital AFC North matchup. The 41 – 16 victory after a difficult week in Berea certainly helps put the team and fans in a better mood.

While a 5 – 4 record is not what was expected of the team, they have eight games left to reach those expectations.

In Week 9, the team finally had a complete game from both the offense and the defense. Throughout the season, one or the other played well but not both. Some games neither played well.

The defense scored the team’s first touchdown and put the team in good positions to score a number of other times. The offense made some big plays both throwing and running the ball to put away the home team and not allowing them to create drama late in the game.

Here are a few takeaways from what we learned from today’s win.

Browns Vs Bengals: Highlights for Cleveland’s Week 9 matchup

Ward starts off the highlights with a 100-yard return. See all of the Browns highlights from Week 9 here:

The Cleveland Browns are facing off with the Cincinnati Bengals in an important AFC North matchup. In a rarity, the Battle of Ohio is between two teams still competing for a playoff spot in the middle of the season.

The loser of the game could be at the bottom of the division. The winner of the game will keep themselves in a position to win the division.

The Bengals, fresh off a loss to the lowly New York Jets have had some big wins already this year while the Browns have had a lot of struggles against good teams. Cleveland is hoping to leave the drama of Odell Beckham Jr. from this week behind them and start moving in the right direction for the 2021 season.

We will keep track of all the Browns highlights here for you to watch:

Browns Vs Bengals: Game day inactives

Week 9’s gameday inactives are out for the Browns vs Bengals. Any starters or key backups missing this important game for Cleveland?

The Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals face off in an important game in the AFC North in just over an hour. While the Browns have struggled this season, the Bengals have been a big surprise to many. With a win, Cleveland would pull into a tie with Cincinnati at 5 – 4. With a loss, the Browns season spiral will continue.

Going into the game, Cleveland had quite a few players questionable for the game. Earlier, we looked at a report that said three starters would be active for the game.

Was that report accurate? Here are today’s game-day inactives for Browns versus Bengals:

Cleveland

Browns early Sunday updates: New starter and two defenders likely to play

Early Sunday injury update has that three questionable players, including a new starter, should be good to go today:

The Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals square off in an AFC North matchup today. For the home team Bengals, it is a chance to put another blemish on a division rivals record and continue to prove themselves worthy of being in the playoff discussion. For the visiting Browns, it is a chance to move on from a chaotic week.

After a shocking loss to the New York Jets in Week 8, Cincinnati sits a half game back of the Baltimore Ravens at the top of the division. After losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, Cleveland sits a game and a half back in the division but only a half-game back in the chase for a wild card spot.

A lot could change with today’s matchup.

For the Browns, one change is certain: Odell Beckham Jr. will no longer be on the team. As expected, Donovan Peoples-Jones is likely to get the starting nod returning from missing two games with an injury. Cleveland is also expecting to have two important defenders, according to Ian Rapoport, for today’s game:

With Bengals QB Joe Burrow leading a high-flying offense, Ward and Clowney could be vital for the defense. With Joe Mixon leading the home team’s balanced rushing attack, Clowney’s strength, length and speed at the line of scrimmage will be important.

If those three are able to play, Cleveland still has a few questionable players that could miss the game including Takk McKinley. Official word will come about 90 minutes before game time.
