The NBA world sends love to Bronny James following cardiac arrest

He’s in stable condition.

Horrifying news was broken on Tuesday morning.

Per a statement via Shams Charania (see below), Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing at USC.

“He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU,” it read in part. “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

There’s no other information beyond that. The freshman joined USC in May after weighing a decision on where to play in the fall.

LeBron James said it’s ‘scary hours’ after Bronny went above the rim for a dunk

Bronny James showed off all his bounce in Sierra Canyon’s dunk contest

Like father, like son. Wow. LeBron James has been dunking from above the rim for, pretty much, the entirety of his NBA career. Even before that in high school, he was getting up there.

Now Bronny James is doing the same thing.

LeBron had a proud dad moment on Instagram when he shared a video of Bronny getting his head above the rim on a massive windmill dunk during the Sierra Canyon dunk contest.

He threw the ball off the glass, leaped up, caught it and threw it down. The athleticism is crazy, man. He’s only 17-years old doing this. It’s wild. Just wild. Dude has bounce.

The most impressive part about this is that he’s jumping this high and he’s only 6’4. His dad was doing it at 6’8. Bronny might have just as much bounce as pops at this point.

That wasn’t all, either. Bronny was going crazy all night.

Man, this is impressive. Keep this up and maybe they’ll have him in the NBA dunk contest someday.

LeBron James showed up at one of Bronny’s games and was the perfect basketball dad

This was such a cool moment between LeBron and Bronny

Most times when we see LeBron James, he’s on the court dominating some opposing team or doing some sort of content shoot for The Shop or one of his other productions.

Those are two pretty good versions of LeBron. But the best version, by far, is of him being a dad. It’s so cool.

That was him on Friday at one of Bronny Jr.’s high school basketball games. James showed up, of course, to support his son. And that’s exactly what he did — he was the quintessential basketball dad.

He stepped out there on the court to give him some advice during shootaround.

And when it was winning time, Bron told him what to do. “Bronny, get open and get a bucket.”

First of all, do y’all see all that grey in Bron’s beard? This man is really getting old.

That’s a cool moment to see, though. It would’ve been better if Bronny hit the shot, but that’s still a good look. And a cool moment between father and son. This was just awesome.

WATCH: LeBron James addresses prospect of playing for the Knicks with his son, Bronny

LeBron James’ basketball-playing son, Bronny, continues to be a part of King James’ postgame conversations this week.

LeBron James’ basketball-playing son, Bronny, continues to be a part of King James’ postgame conversations this week.

Following Wednesday’s win versus the Knicks (12-33), the Lakers (35-9) star praised Madison Square Garden, calling it, “the mecca of basketball” and saying it was his favorite place to come play.

A reporter in the scrum around the star viewed that as his opportunity to ask if LBJwould ever plays for the Knicks if the team drafted his son.

Well, LeBron didn’t say no! He did go full-on dad, though.

“My son is in ninth grade, man. We’re tryin’ to worry about what project he’s gotta turn in tomorrow, that’s what we worried about right now,” James said. “That’s what’s most important: school, home and being the best big brother he can be.”

Bronny turned 15-years-old in October and is a high school freshman. So, at the earliest (under current draft rules and without a reclassification), the teenager would be draft-eligible in 2024.

LeBron’s current contract with the lakers expires after to 2021-2022 season, so it’s technically definitely an option that he’s with a different team by the time his son is playing in the league, too.

While the 35-year-old opted not to answer the yes-or-no question outright, he did have this to say back in a 20 18 interview with uninterrupted: “You want to ask me what is the greatest achievement of my life … If I’m on the same court as my son in the NBA, that would be No. 1 in my lifetime as an NBA player. I’ve thought about it because my son is about to be 14, and he might be able to get in there a little earlier.”
