2023 4-star SG commits to Arizona State over Nebraska

A 2024 4-star SG has committed to Arizona State over Nebraska.

2024 four-star shooting guard Braelon Green has committed to Arizona State.

Nebraska was one of three finalists for Green along with Arizona State and NC State.

“I felt at home as soon as I got on campus,” Green told On3’s Joe Tipton. “I wanted to play for those coaches and I had the best relationship with that staff. The style of play fits me best.”

247 Sports Composite ranks Green as the 129th overall recruit in the 2023 class. He stands at 6’3″ and weighs 175 pounds. He attends Southern California Academy in Castaic, CA.

The Cornhuskers remain top-three finalists for another 2023 four-star shooting guard, Parker Friedrichsen. Friedrichsen recently told Jimmy Watkins of The Omaha World-Herald that he is “close” to making a decision.

“I definitely am getting close (to a decision),” Friedrichsen told Watkins. “I’m not going to drag this process out forever. My Nebraska visit was my last one. Now we’re just talking about it every day and weighing the pros and cons.”

Michigan State basketball: 5 recruits to watch out for as the cycle begins

5 recruits fans should look out for as Michigan State starts to piece together their 2023 recruiting class

Michigan State concluded their 2021-22 season with a Round of 32 exit to the Duke Blue Devils. Now, it is time to turn a new leaf and start getting prepared for the upcoming season and offseason. A huge part of this offseason will be recruiting the 2023 recruiting class. Tom Izzo has already been spotted on the road recruiting several different prospects and is making his presence on the recruiting trail known.

The Spartans already hold a commitment from Jeremy Fears, the No. 26 player in the recruiting class, and they are looking to build off of what the point guard brings them.

Here are five prospects fans should have on their radar as Tom Izzo looks to piece his 2023 recruiting class together:

Michigan State is the projected favorite to land nationally top 50 prospect Braelon Green.

Green — who is ranked as the No. 46 overall prospect in the 2023 class — is projected by three 247Sports insiders to end up a Spartan. Michigan State picked up three crystal ball predictions for Green on Thursday.

Green is expected to be on campus this weekend taking an unofficial visit to Michigan State.

Green is ranked as the No. 8 combo guard and No. 4 player overall from California in the 2023 class. He holds 15 scholarship offers, including offers from Alabama, Kansas, Arizona State, USC and Maryland.

Green originally is from Ypsilanti but is now located in Castaic, Calif.

5-star guard Braelon Green visiting Michigan State basketball this weekend

Another top Michigan State basketball prospect will be on campus this weekend

This is turning into a huge recruiting weekend for Tom Izzo and Michigan State basketball.

Shortly after top-20 PG Jeremy Fears Jr. announced he was going to be on campus, 5-star Braelon Green announced that he would also be attending campus this weekend.

Green, originally from Ypsilanti and attending Lincoln High School, is a highly coveted prospect in the 2023 class, and would be a headliner of a recruiting class.

A combo-guard, Green has the ability to make plays off the ball as well as running an offense with the ball.

Tom Izzo needs to capitalize on his recruiting momentum this weekend.

One of the top 2023 combo/point guards in the country will visit Michigan State later this month.

Braelon Green of Ypsilanti, Mich. will reportedly take an official visit to East Lansing on Sept. 25. Green — who is a four-star prospect on 247Sports — is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in Michigan and No. 15 combo guard.

Green has already received a scholarship offer from the Spartans and also has offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Eastern Michigan, Duquense and Long Island.

Green is definitely a target the Spartans have keyed in on so this is great to see that he’ll be taking an official visit to East Lansing later this month. Hopefully, that goes well, and the Spartans can land a commitment from Green.

Michigan State Basketball offers 2023 CG Braelon Green

Michigan State has offered one of Emoni Bates’ old teammates at Lincoln High School, combo guard Braelon Green.

[jwplayer NIG71kHM-PROpJzTY]

Michigan State has offered one of Emoni Bates’ old teammates at Lincoln High School. Combo guard Braelon Green announced he received an offer from MSU Wednesday night.

Green, who is 6-foot-3 and 175-pounds, is currently unranked and has no stars on 247sports. Green is from Ypsilanti, Michigan much like current MSU commit Emoni Bates.

Green has also received offers from Duquesne, Eastern Michigan, Long Island and Mississippi State.

Green’s tape shows his athleticism and ability to score at a high level. He also has great playmaking ability and plays with a lot of swagger. Expect Green to be a high-end four star prospect. Michigan State will face much tougher competition for this talented combo guard.
