The Buffalo Bills were eliminated in the AFC divisional round after their loss against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening.

The Bills could not find a way to win after going down early in the fourth quarter. The Bills did not complete the comeback as the Chiefs won 27-24.

There are a handful of Bills players who could have won this week’s Bills Wire Player of the Game.

We are awarding it to quarterback Josh Allen, who was 26 of 39 for 186 yards and one passing touchdown to receiver Khalil Shakir. In addition, carrying the ball, Allen ran 12 times for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

Allen ran for those two touchdowns in the first half before connecting with wide receiver Shakir. Allen did everything he could to win this frosty divisional matchup against 2023 Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Allen found the end zone with his feet at the beginning and end of the second quarter, both times to give Buffalo a lead. Unfortunately, the Bills could not prevent Kansas City from scoring nor could they find a way to tie or take the lead at the end of the game.

The Bills are now eliminated from the 2023 NFL playoffs.

Bills Wire AFC Super Wild Card Weekend Player of the Game: QB Josh Allen:

The Buffalo Bills advanced to the AFC divisional round with a win against the No. 7 seed Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday afternoon and will welcome the No. 3 seed Kansas City Chiefs next weekend.

After taking a two-touchdown lead in the first quarter, the Bills staved off a Steelers rally in the final 15 minutes and won 31-17.

There are several players among offense, defense and special teams who could have won this week’s Bills Wire Player of the Game. We are awarding it to quarterback Josh Allen, who was 21 of 30 for 203 yards and three touchdowns, along with a 52-yard rushing touchdown:

Allen’s score was his fourth rushing touchdown in the postseason. Additionally, this was Allen’s second playoff game with no interceptions or fumbles — the first came in the Bills’ blowout wild-card win over the New England Patriots two years ago.

Allen found both tight ends in the first quarter for touchdowns, and his solo run for a touchdown midway through the second quarter energized the faithful fans who braved the snow. It was Allen’s longest rush in his entire career. His previous longest postseason rush was for 42 yards in his first playoff game, which came against the Houston Texans in the 2019 AFC wild-card round.

The Bills will use the next week to prepare Highmark Stadium to host the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs in the divisional round.

The Buffalo Bills secured the AFC East division with a win against division challenging Miami Dolphins on Sunday night to extend their winning streak to 5 games and secure home field for the first game in the playoffs.

Buffalo (11-6) secured the game with an interception to seal the win, good for a 21-14 final. In a contest that saw them come from behind to take the lead with multiple touchdowns in the fourth quarter, they needed to prevent Miami from scoring in the final two minutes of the game.

With the Dolphins looking to respond to Buffalo’s comeback in their 2-minute drive with no timeouts, the Bills phenomenal defense secured their second turnover of the day by intercepting the ball to kneel and secure the win.

In this game, there are so many players on offense, defense, and special teams could have won this week’s Player of the Game, and they would be well deserved in an outing that many of the top Buffalo talent showed up and showed out in.

We are awarding the Player of the Game Award in Week 18 to safety Taylor Rapp, who secured the game winning interception:

Taylor Rapp signed this offseason with the Bills and had an incredible impact along with other offseason signings Deonty Harty and Trent Sherfield. Rapp’s interception was a perfect read on the Dolphins’ quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to end the game as Miami had no more time outs to get the ball back.

The Buffalo Bills will use the week to prepare Bills Stadium to host their AFC Wild-Card Round showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday afternoon.

The Buffalo Bills eked out another win in the final moments of the game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night to extend their winning streak in their march to secure postseason football.

Buffalo (9-6) secured the game on the final play, good for a 24-22 final. In a contest that saw them take an early lead that they gave up in the last quarter and needed a go-ahead field goal and prevent the Chargers (5-10) from going down the field and scoring a field goal in response to take the win.

In a game of ups and downs, there are some players on both offense and defense that could have won this week’s Player of the Game, and they would be well deserved in an outing that many of the top Buffalo talent were inconsistent in.

We are awarding the Player of the Game Award in Week 16 to wide receiver Gabe Davis, who had four catches for 130 yards and a touchdown:

The Bills offense started the game with three punts and were down two scores to a Chargers team that have won a handful of games. Davis broke open early in the second quarter to power his way into the end zone to start the Buffalo offense up Saturday night. Davis, who has featured earlier in the season against the Buccaneers as our of the player of the game, and the rest of the offense will look to make an impact earlier and more consistently as the Buffalo offense didn’t score a touchdown in the fourth quarter either.

The rest of the Bills offense will use the extra day off to prepare for their showdown against AFC East rival New England Patriots next Sunday afternoon on New Year’s Eve.

The Buffalo Bills had another disappointing performance and we’re defeated on a last-second field-goal winner against the Denver Broncos on Monday night.

Buffalo (5-5) lost 24-22 in a contest that saw multiple turnovers by the Bills offense and a failure by the defense to prevent the Broncos (4-5) from going down the field at the end of the game to take the win.

This is one of the few weeks that only a handful of players on either offense or defense could have won this week’s Player of the Game, and they would be well deserved in an incredibly disappointing performance overall.

We are awarding the Player of the Game Award in Week 10 to running back Latavius Murray, who had nine carries for 68 yards and a touchdown:

The Bills offense had multiple turnovers throughout the game and Murray was one of few bright spots on offense, not turning the ball over and scoring a touchdown to tie the game. Murray, who has been in the National Football League for a decade for six teams prior to arriving at Buffalo this year, helped establish the run against Denver with James Cook benched earlier in the game.

The rest of the Bills offense will look to use the rest of the week to reduce turnovers and reestablish their foothold in their division when they host their AFC East rival New York Jets on Sunday afternoon.

On a short week, the Buffalo Bills secured the win as they prevented the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from scoring on a last second play to begin the NFL’s Week 8 slate.

Buffalo (5-3) won 24-18 in a contest that they led from the first quarter on. The Bills felt comfortably ahead before giving up a touchdown late in the game and preventing Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield from scoring with a late Hail Mary attempt from the Bucs side of the field.

Many players on offense and defense could have won this week’s Player of the Game, and they would be well deserved.

We are awarding the Player of the Game Award in Week 8 to wide receiver Gabe Davis, who had nine catches for 72 yards and a touchdown:

The Bills offense was vibrant and aggressive throughout the game as many of the skill players played much better than they have been in the last couple weeks. Davis, who had one catch for six yards in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots, exploded with a mammoth effort.

He was targeted by quarterback Josh Allen 12 times and worked well against the Buccaneers coverage. Davis scored the touchdown to put the Bills ahead by two scores early in the third quarter. Allen spoke earlier this week about breaking the slump on offense, and Davis was a big part of Buffalo’s offensive prowess today.

The wide receiver and the rest of the Bills offense performed extremely well and will look to use the extra days off before they travel to Cincinnati to face the Bengals in their Sunday night prime-time matchup.

The Buffalo Bills fell short in the 2023 NFL season as they lost in the final seconds of the game against the New England Patriots.

Buffalo (4-3) lost 25-29 in a narrow contest that came down to stopping the Patriots from scoring a touchdown in the final minute of the game. The Bills went ahead with a Josh Allen rushing touchdown to lead 25-22 with 1:58 minutes on the clock. The Buffalo defense did not stop New England as the Patriots scored the go-ahead touchdown with 0:12 on the clock.

A couple players on offense were in the running for this week’s Player of the Game, including previous winners. All of them would deservedly be there on merit.

We are awarding the Player of the Game Award in Week 7 to tight end Dalton Kincaid, who had eight catches for 75 yards:

The Bills offense could have played better, as they started the game slow. The rookie tight end was the leading Bills receiver with four receptions that earned the Bills a first down, including catching a ball to put the Bills into first and goal territory on the Bills’ go-ahead touchdown.

The tight end performed well in the loss and will look to contribute next week when Buffalo head home to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday at 8:15 p.m.

The Buffalo Bills got back to winning ways in the 2023 NFL season as they took a close win against the New York Giants.

Buffalo (4-2) won 14-9 in a narrow contest that came down to needing to stop the Giants from scoring a touchdown on the final play.

With 0:00 on the clock, New York (1-5) was given a free play. Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard was handed a pass interference penalty after time expired, which granted the G-Men the ball on the goal line.

A couple players on offense and several more on defense were in the running for this week’s player of the game, including previous winners. All of them would deservedly be there on merit.

We are awarding the Player of the Game Award in Week 6 to cornerback Taron Johnson, who had 15 combined tackles and the game-winning pass deflection:

The Bills defense as a unit played extremely well, preventing former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor and the Giants offense from entering the end zone all day.

Johnson had a physical presence all over the field, including playing near-perfect coverage on Giants tight end Darren Waller to secure the win.

Additionally, Johnson is the first Buffalo defender with 15 or more tackles in a game since London Fletcher in 2004 against the New York Jets. A player with 15 or more tackles has happened 30 times since 2001, with the most recent instance occurring last season when Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton logged 19 tackles in October 2022 against the Chargers. Taron Johnson, along with Bernard, our Week 3 Player of the Game, are part of the Buffalo Bills spine on defense that continue to make game winning plays.

Buffalo have a short distance to travel to play against their division rival New England Patriots next week on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Bills’ phenomenal defense vs. Commanders set a new team record

The Buffalo Bills defense dominated on Sunday versus the Washington Commanders, with the Bills’ pass rushers combining to sack Commanders’ quarterback Sam Howell nine times.

The pass rush helped force five turnovers in the 37-3 win. Howell was constantly under pressure when throwing and the Bills’ pass rushers had a field day against a weak offensive line.

Turns out, the pass rushers set a record in Buffalo team history. Sunday was the first time that the Bills defense had four defenders with one or more sack ever:

Bills Wire Week 3 Player of the Game linebacker Terrel Bernard led the pass-rushing pressure along with defensive end Leonard Floyd. They had two sacks each.

Defensive tackle Ed Oliver and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones also joined Bernard and Floyd in the multi-sack stat column with 1.5 sacks each, respectively.

The nine-sack performance is a big departure from last week’s win against the Las Vegas Raiders where Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo was not sacked at all.

The Bills defense has never had four players with multiple sacks, but have had nine sacks against an opponent before.

On Jan, 9, 2022, the Bills registered nine against the New York Jets, with Mario Addison, Jordan Poyer, and Ed Oliver registering multiple sacks. The dominating performance by the defense is incredibly impressive.

The Bills defensive line will need a repeat performance this Sunday when they play the undefeated division rival Miami Dolphins against an electric offense that scored 70 points last weekend. We hope to see multiple sacks against Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The Buffalo Bills’ third game of the 2023 NFL season extended the Bills’ win streak with a blowout win against the Washington Commanders.

Buffalo won 37-3 in a game which they were the superior team on every side of the ball: offense, defense, and special teams.

Many players on offense and defense were in the running for this week’s player of the game, and all of them would certainly be there on merit. We are awarding the Player of the Game Award in Week 3 to linebacker Terrel Bernard, who had seven tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery, and an interception:

The Bills defense, overall, was phenomenal, pressuring Washington quarterback Sam Howell on 27 of 39 dropbacks to generate four interceptions and 9 sacks. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, that is the second-highest pressure rate in a game since 2014.

Bernard was a presence across both quarterback pressure and backfield coverage. He is quickly becoming another name on the Bills defense for teams around the NFL to fear. Week 2 Player of the Game Josh Allen celebrated with Bernard, probably happier that they are teammates instead of opponents.

Buffalo return home to play against the division-leading Miami Dolphins next week on Sunday at 1 p.m.
