One more time: Watch Bills QB Josh Allen’s MVP acceptance speech

Josh Allen cemented his spot in NFL history by winning the MVP award at the NFL Honors this week.

Although the Buffalo Bills fell short of the Super Bowl, they received a small silver lining as their 2018 first-round draft pick became just the third Bills player in the Super Bowl era to win the award.

Allen had plenty of people to thank, including his family, fiancé, and the entire Bills organization. His outro, “Be good, do good, God bless and go Bills”, is a phrase that will live on in Western New York for years to come.

Von Miller on future with Buffalo Bills: ‘I want to be here’

Von Miller on future with Buffalo Bills: ‘I want to be here’

The 2025 offseason will be filled with important decisions for the Buffalo Bills that will steer the franchise going forward.

The team has 16 free agents to be mindful of this offseason, but one of the team’s most important decisions will be regarding a player already under contract.

Veteran and likely Hall of Fame edge rusher Von Miller’s future in Buffalo is largely up in the air.

His age (36 in March), recent injury history (2022 ACL and meniscus tear), and contract (owed $17.5M in 2025) make him a cut candidate for Bills general manager Brandon Beane.

Instead of paying a base salary of $17.5 million in 2025, the Bills could cut Miller and save about $8.5 million on the salary cap.

Miller addressed his future with the Bills following the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game:

“However long my key card works in this building, I’m gonna keep coming up in here and I’m going to keep coming in and trying to make [a Super Bowl] happen. I want to be here. I plan on being a Buffalo Bill for sure.”

Over his three years in Buffalo, Miller has appeared in 36 games and started in 11. He has 14 sacks over that time, with eight coming in 2022, zero in 2023 (recovering from knee surgery), and six in 2024.

His 2024 season got off to a rough start as he was hit with a suspension that sidelined him for four games early in the year. However, he played well in the second half of 2024.

He led the entire NFL in quarterback pressure rate after Week 13 (25.5%). He was playing only limited snaps, but he was playing at an elite level when he was on the field.

Now, the Bills are forced to make a decision on Miller, who was signed in 2022 in hopes of getting Buffalo “over the hump” and playing in the Super Bowl. With a couple more injuries and a few more years under Miller’s belt, his $17.5 million salary in 2025 doesn’t look great from a cap perspective.

If the Bills and Miller part ways, his replacement on the edge could come via a trade. Rumors of the Bills trading for a defensive end have been swirling since the season’s end, especially since Myles Garrett requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns. This left Bills fans wondering about the possibilities of Garrett in Buffalo, and even left tackle Dion Dawkins showed his best recruiting efforts to land the star edge rusher.

If Beane and the Bills are looking for a splash on the defensive line this off-season, Garrett, Maxx Crosby, and Trey Hendrickson are names to watch.

The Bills’ front office has plenty to work on regarding roster construction, but the decision with Miller seems like it would need to be one of the first dominos to fall.

WATCH: Bills’ Highmark Stadium to be ‘one of the loudest’ in NFL

The noise element is one of the biggest factors of home-field advantage in the NFL.

The toughest places to play around the league are also the loudest.

When the Buffalo Bills began planning their new stadium, touted as ‘New Highmark Stadium,’ they made sure to take noise into account—not just the speaker technology but also maximizing crowd noise.

This week, the team posted a video on X that shared insight into what to expect from the speaker system and noise retention at New Highmark Stadium.

According to Erik Carlson, senior project executive for the new stadium’s construction, the advanced technology of the speaker system, combined with the acoustical design, will make it “one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL.”

Chop Robinson describes his ‘welcome to the league’ moment

Chop Robinson said a four-time Pro Bowler was “just terrorizing” him every play during his rookie season.

Chop Robinson had a slow start to his rookie year with the Miami Dolphins. His first sack didn’t come until November and along the way he was “terrorized” by a Buffalo Bills four-time Pro Bowler.

“Dion Dawkins … he gave me my welcome to the league moment,” Robinson told The Athletic’s Dianna Russini on Thursday. “I was going against him — I mean, both games he gave me a welcome to the league moment. I was just going against him every single play I lined up on him and he was just terrorizing me. I didn’t think –seeing him on film, he moved good — but when you’re out there on the field and you’re going against him, he moves just as good as I can getting off the ball.”

In the Dolphins’ 31-10 loss to the Bills in Week 2, Robinson managed to record two pressures, including one against Dawkins. Six weeks later, the rookie got his first career sack by bringing down Josh Allen in a 30-27 loss. Robinson pushed Dawkins back into the quarterback to make the play.

While the rookie says it was his toughest matchup, his moderate success in the Week 8 rematch served as a springboard for a tremendous second half of his 2024 season.

Robinson racked up 42 pressures in the last nine games of the year — second most in the league over that stretch behind only the Cleveland Browns’ reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett.

It was a run of pass rushing success that Robinson himself wasn’t sure he’d be able to pull off earlier in the year.

“When I first came in I thought I wasn’t going to be able to survive the whole season,” Robinson told Russini. “Just a mental thing. Just going out there every single day, everybody competing. It’s a job now, it’s not just college so it was a big change. But once I got comfortable, I enjoyed every second of it.”

Robinson finished 2024 with six sacks and eight tackles for loss.

Report: NFL considering electronic system to determine first downs

The end of Bills vs. Chiefs may spark a rule change, but it wouldn’t help the Bills even if the situation arises again:

The NFL is once again considering moving to an electronic system to determine first downs. The report from the Washington Post’s Mark Maske comes on the heels of a controversial play in the AFC Championship game.

Josh Allen was marked short of a first down by the referees during a critical fourth quarter drive, but there are many viewers who believe he did gain enough to get the first down.

The idea of electronically spotting the ball would correct this, in theory. In actuality, however, the same result will happen. An electronic system works as a safety measure for the officials, not a replacement, so the system doesn’t come into place until the ball is spotted.

You’d think by now you could install a chip that is able to tell you whether or not a runner crossed the first down line without the need to be spotted first. The NFL, though, is still trying to figure out a way to use this system. There was an attempt made during the preseason but didn’t progress further because “complaints about the amount of time taken to make first-down decisions.”

Utilizing electronic systems in this capacity could be the first step on a path to eliminate situations like the AFC Championship Game moving forward.

Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy explains his postseason mindset: ‘Prove everybody wrong’

Kansas City #Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy explains his postseason mindset: ‘Prove everybody wrong’ | @EdEastonJr

Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy has become an impactful go-to player on offense this postseason. During last Thursday’s press conference, he addressed his play and desire to prove doubters wrong all year.

“Just my mentality, I go out there just trying to prove everybody wrong. I was coming into the season doubted.” said Worthy. “Everybody said he’s not fit to be a big-time receiver, he’s too small, he’s injury prone. I feel like I proved everybody wrong, and I’m going to continue to prove everybody wrong.”

After an impressive season, Worthy holds the record for most touchdowns by a Chiefs rookie from scrimmage. He credited his success to his growing relationship with Patrick Mahomes, especially given the wide receiver injuries.

“This is my first time stepping up and just being a guy that Pat (Patrick Mahomes) could rely on,” said Worthy. “Just having that, and having the leadership of the guys that actually went down, they’ve been helping me, leading me throughout the way, so it’s amazing just to have them on the journey.”

During the AFC Championship victory over the Buffalo Bills, Worthy totaled 101 scrimmage yards with a team-high six catches for a game-high 85 receiving yards with one receiving touchdown and two carries for 16 rushing yards.

Bills legend Andre Reed unleashes rant over the Chiefs AFC Championship victory

Buffalo #Bills legend Andre Reed unleashes rant over the Kansas City #Chiefs AFC Championship victory | @EdEastonJr

Earlier in the week, during an episode of the ‘Jim Rome Show,’ host Jim Rome spoke to Buffalo Bills legend Andre Reed about the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

“The bottom line is you just gotta go out there and not play against the refs, but you kind of are at a certain point; a lot of Chiefs are going to tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about. That might be the case,” said Reed. “But when you go into Kansas City, you gotta beat a lot of people. You gotta beat the team. You gotta beat the fans. You gotta beat the refs. You gotta beat Taylor Swift. You gotta beat everybody. If you go out there and throw that all out the window and beat Kansas City at their own game, and beat them, that all is never gonna be said. We didn’t do that.”

Like many Bills fans, Reed was hoping for a win in the matchup with the Chiefs for their first trip to a Super Bowl in three decades. Instead, Buffalo is now 0-4 against Kansas City in postseason games during the Josh Allen era.

Bills’ James Cook, Connor McGovern added to 2025 Pro Bowl

Bills’ James Cook, Connor McGovern added to 2025 Pro Bowl

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook and center Connor McGovern were added to the AFC’s Pro Bowl roster this week.

This is McGovern’s first Pro Bowl selection, while this is Cook’s second consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl.

Cook replaces the Baltimore Ravens’ Derrick Henry while McGovern replaces the Kansas City Chiefs’ Creed Humphry.

The two will join teammate Dion Dawkins, who was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl. Josh Allen opted not to participate in this year’s games, as did Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson. Russell Wilson and Drake Maye replaced them.

For the Bills, Cook had a breakout year. He tied a franchise record of 16 rushing touchdowns in a season. Even though his usage was down from last year, he accumulated over 1,250 all-purpose yards and 18 total touchdowns. He was a reliable option in the Bills backfield all season.

McGovern also proved reliable this season filling the shoes of former Bills center and team captain Mitch Morse. The Bills offensive line was one of the best in the NFL and allowed the least amount of sacks in the league.

You can catch Cook, McGovern, and Dawkins in the 2025 Pro Bowl at 3 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 2 on ESPN/ABC.

Joe Brady dropping out will leave a stench on Saints head coach hire

Could announcing Kellen Moore as the head coach remove the stench of Joe Brady dropping out of the Saints coaching search?

Joe Brady may not have been the candidate the New Orleans Saints landed on, but it’ll be extremely difficult to wipe away the impact of Brady stepping out of the Saints’ head coaching race. This isn’t about who the best coach will be, because that won’t be decided for a long time. It’s about the view of the Saints hiring process.

New Orleans appears to be aggressively recruiting Kellen Moore. It’s the first candidate you can say that about since Aaron Glenn.

If Moore wins a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, you can sell the Saints picking a Super Bowl winning coordinator. It could energize the fan base, to a degree. That won’t change the optics of this looking like a consolation choice.

The worst part about it is there’s no guarantee Brady was going to get the job. Moore could have been the post-Glenn target all along but Brady stepping out of the race presents an image of him being a top candidate to the Saints.

left the stench of undesirableness all over the Saints. Though it’s been called a bad job all offseason, there’s a big difference bad job and undesirable.

Whoever the Saints pick will appear a second, and possibly third, option for New Orleans. Luckily for New Orleans, the only thing that matters is how you perform when you get there.

Chiefs WR Nikko Remigio was motivated by Pro Bowl teammate: ‘Make something happen’

Kansas City #Chiefs wide receiver Nikko Remigio was motivated by Travis Kelce: ‘Make something happen’ | @EdEastonJr

On Wednesday’s episode of FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams, host Kay Adams spoke to Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver and kick returner Nikko Remigio about a pivotal moment in the AFC Championship Game. He reflected on a moment during the game when Travis Kelce pushed him to be great.

“Trav (Travis Kelce) had came up to me earlier in the game, and I had fair caught that first punt coming out the gates, and he was like, ‘That’s not being great, bro,” Said Remigio, “So I knew going into this next opportunity that I had to make something happen. So I took a peek down the field and saw that the guys were, it was going to be tight, and it was going to be a quick play, and you know, just made it happen.”

Remigio took Kelce’s message to heart and used it as motivation to return his next punt for 41 yards. The Chiefs capitalized on six plays after Patrick Mahomes punched it into the endzone. It was the fourth-longest postseason punt return in franchise history. His 41 total punt return yards in the game ranked fifth-most in a postseason game in team history.
