The Purdue Boilermakers are on the road this week when they face the Minnesota Golden Gophers at TCF Bank Stadium on Friday night.

Purdue (2-1) is coming off their only loss this season against Northwestern last weekend and will look to rebound tonight. Meanwhile, Minnesota (1-3) has struggled this season and are coming off a blowout 35-7 loss to Iowa. They will need Tanner Morgan to turn it up a notch tonight to right the ship and save their season.

This should be a great Big Ten matchup, tune in, here is everything you need to know to stream the game tonight.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers is on the road to face the Maryland Terrapins in Big 10 action from Capital One Field on Friday night.

Minnesota will look to bounce back after a 49-24 loss to Michigan in their first game of the season last week. Many thought they would have given the Wolverines a little more trouble than they did. Maryland is also looking to rebound after a blowout loss to Northwestern by a score of 43-3. Tua’s brother Taulia Tagovailoa will need to put up another game to be considered in the same conversation as his brother.

This should be a great Big 10 matchup, tune in, here is everything you need to know to stream the game tonight.

Minnesota vs. Maryland

  • When: Friday, October 30

Prediction: Neither team looked great last week but I don’t think that warrants a 20 point spread for either team here.  Maryland had an awful game against a possible CFB team in Northwestern while Minnesota got crushed by Michigan. Take the points with Maryland in this one.

What’s the best rivalry in college football? Many would say Ohio State vs. Michigan. That matchup will take place this weekend in Ann Arbor, with the No. 13 Wolverines trying to break a streak of seven straight wins for the No. 1 Buckeyes. The outcome could change the landscape of the College Football Playoff.

Time: 12:00 p.m. ET

TV: FOX

Live Stream: fuboTV (watch for free)

Since a 28-21 loss to Penn State on the road Oct. 19, Michigan’s offense has turned it up. The team is averaging 41.5 points and 422.8 total yards of offense over the past four games. This is the best quarterback Shea Patterson has played during his tenure at Michigan. Over the past two games, he is 41-for-58 for 750 yards, nine touchdowns, and one interception. In a 39-14 win over Indiana, his late interception was his first turnover in 17 quarters.

The Wolverines offense may be playing its best this season, but it hasn’t dealt with a juggernaut that is the Buckeyes defense. It ranks No. 1 in the nation in efficiency and scoring, allowing just 10.5 points per game. Michigan needs to be ready for defensive end Chase Young, who leads the NCAA with 16.5 sacks. He’s leading that category despite missing two games due to an NCAA violation.

Ohio State had a sloppy 28-17 win against Penn State last weekend, which was easily its least impressive victory of the season. However, Ohio State still locked up the Big Ten East and will play in the Big Ten Championship game. The Buckeyes were up 21-0 at the beginning of the third quarter, but three straight turnovers allowed the score to quickly flip to 21-17. While the focus has been on the play of quarterback Justin Fields the entire season, he had three turnovers in the game. Fields finished the game with 188 yards passing and two touchdowns. The most success the Buckeyes found last weekend was in the run game. J.K. Dobbins ran for 157 yards, while Fields ran for 68 yards. Dobbins has 1,446 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. His backup, Master Teague, has more rushing yards (751) than anyone on Michigan’s roster. Receivers Chris Olave, K.J. Hill, and Binjimen Victor have a combined 23 receiving touchdowns.

The Wolverines defense may not be as highly touted as the Buckeyes, but it still cannot be overlooked. Michigan’s defense has been playing well ever since an early season loss at Wisconsin. It’s currently the nation’s No. 5 defense, but the defensive tackles will have to limit the run and allow the linebackers to make plays.

It’s a streak Purdue would rather forget. It’s been 13 straight games that Wisconsin has beaten the Boilermakers. It will be a tall order for Purdue to win on the road against No. 14 Wisconsin. Last year’s game was a thriller, with Wisconsin winning 47-44 in triple overtime.

Purdue (4-6, 3-4) has to win its final two games to qualify for a bowl game. Two years ago in Madison, the Boilermakers forced multiple red zone turnovers and even blocked a punt, but scored just nine points. With injuries at key positions, backup quarterback Aidan O’Connell leads the offense. He went 34-for-50 with 271 yards and two touchdowns vs. Northwestern in a 24-22 win last weekend. The Boilermakers outscored the Wildcats 17-6 in the second half. Wide receiver David Bell, who leads the Big Ten with 65 catches, had 14 catches for 115 yards.

For Wisconsin (8-2, 5-2), it’s all about winning its final two games to make it to the Big Ten Championship game. While the Boilermakers depend on their passing game, it’s all about running the ball for the Badgers. The team is averaging 235.1 rushing yards per game due in large part to Heisman hopeful Jonathan Taylor. His 5,634 rushing yards are the most all-time by an FBS player before their senior season. Wisconsin beat Nebraska 37-21 last weekend after quarterback Jack Coan passed for 162 yards and one touchdown and Taylor ran for 204 yards on 25 carries. Taylor has rushed for 540 yards in two games against Purdue, including a hefty 321 last year.
