Tampa Bay’s opening Super Bowl odds for 2024

See where Vegas thinks Tampa Bay will stack up among the league in contention for a championship next year.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be in the offseason, but it’s never too early to think about the next year.

The Bucs came two games short of a Super Bowl berth in 2023, making it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs before losing to the Detroit Lions. Despite the impressive performance (especially given preseason expectation), there’s a lot to consider when it comes to 2024 — the Bucs have 18 unrestricted free agents, many of whom were crucial pieces for the team in 2023. Given that those sort of things haven’t been sorted out, it’s a bit early to take bets on who will win the Super Bowl next year, but DraftKings has you covered anyway.

The Bucs currently have the 21st-highest odds to win Super Bowl LIX (or 59, for brevity’s sake). Interestingly enough, the Atlanta Falcons have much higher odds through DraftKings at +2800 than Tampa Bay’s +6000, though both the New Orleans Saints (+8000) and the Carolina Panthers (+25000) have much lower chances, too.

Check out the full list from DraftKings below:

The San Francisco 49ers have the best odds to win at +550, while that +25000 for the Panthers under former Bucs OC Dave Canales is the worst.

NFL conference championship best bets: One wager to make for each of the final four teams

We’ve got one bet to make on each of the four teams playing in conference title games on Sunday

We’ve reached the penultimate round of the NFL playoffs as the final four teams left will look to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens will square off in the first game at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, while the Detroit Lions will visit the San Francisco 49ers in the second game on at 6:30 p.m. ET.

With only three games left in the season, there aren’t many betting opportunities remaining. But on the bright side, these four teams should give us entertaining matchups before the big one on Feb. 11.

Here are our best bets for conference championship weekend, with one wager to make for each of the four teams.

Where LSU women’s basketball sits in national title odds

Here’s where LSU women’s basketball sits in the national title odds entering showdown with South Carolina.

It’s that time of year when college basketball starts to heat up.

Conference play is in full swing and the NCAA Tournament is less than two months away. Over the next month, resumes will be solidified as teams jockey for better seeding.

[autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] and the LSU women’s team remain well-positioned. They aren’t off to the 22-0 start they had last year, but an 18-2 record will do.

LSU has its toughest test yet this week, facing Dawn Staley’s South Carolina team.

The Gamecocks overtook LSU as the title favorite earlier this year. According to FanDuel, South Carolina’s national championship odds are +290.

LSU didn’t fall far, though. The Tigers’ +500 odds rank second nationally, just in front of UCLA, Iowa and UConn at +600.

Despite the 18-2 record, LSU fell after some inconsistent play throughout the first two months. This week’s contest against South Carolina is a chance for LSU to add a signature win to its resume as it looks to push for a top seed in March.

Trail Blazers vs. Thunder: Prediction, point spread, odds, best bet

Trail Blazers vs. Thunder: Prediction, point spread, odds, best bet.

The Oklahoma City Thunder play the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.

The game starts at 7 p.m. CT and can be seen on Bally Sports Oklahoma.

The Thunder (29-13) return home after a lengthy four-game road trip that saw them split it at two apiece. On Saturday, OKC picked up a crucial win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in a matchup between the top two seeds of the Western Conference standings.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers (12-30) continue to be one of the worst teams in the league. They were blown out by the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

The Thunder have won both matchups by a considerable margin this season. Last time out, OKC blew out Portland by 62 points — the fifth-largest margin of victory in NBA history.

49ers open as heavy favorite to win NFC championship

The 49ers open as big favorites over the Lions:

The 49ers will host the Lions in the NFC championship game at Levi’s Stadium. While Detroit played better than the 49ers did in the divisional round, San Francisco is still a 7-point favorite over the Lions according to BetMGM.

While it’s a little surprising to see such a big number on the 49ers to open, there’s certainly a path to a big win for a San Francisco team that’s in its third NFC championship game in as many years.

It would make sense if the number started trending toward Detroit given what they can do in the run game and how they might be able to keep the game tight the same way the Packers did.

Injuries could also play a key role in how the line moves. 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is banged up, as is Lions center Frank Ragnow. Both players are huge pieces to their offenses and in a game that should be closely contested, those injuries could make a huge difference.

How to watch, betting odds as LSU men’s basketball hosts Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon

The Tigers host the Aggies in a rematch on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers began the year with some struggles through non-conference play, and it looked like they were heading for another disappointing campaign in Year 2 under coach [autotag]Matt McMahon[/autotag].

But SEC play has been an entirely different story. LSU has won three of four games to begin its SEC slate, and it has another opportunity to pick up a Quadrant 2 win on Saturday after taking down Ole Miss its last time out.

Texas A&M comes to town looking to avenge a 15-point loss on its home court earlier this month. The Aggies gained momentum after that loss with a win over a top-10 Kentucky team, but that was squandered with a loss to a struggling Arkansas team their last time out.

Here’s everything you need to know to watch Saturday’s game, including the latest betting odds from BetMGM.

How to watch, betting odds as LSU men’s basketball hosts No. 22 Ole Miss on Wednesday night

The Tigers are looking for their first ranked win of the season on Wednesday night.

A disappointing double-digit loss on the road to Auburn on Saturday interrupted what was a 2-0 start to SEC play for the LSU men’s basketball team, but it will be back in action for another chance to earn another impressive conference win on Wednesday night.

No. 22 Ole Miss comes to the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, and the Rebels are off to a hot start under first-year coach Chris Beard. They’re 15-1 on the year with the only loss coming on the road against a very strong Tennessee team.

LSU is 10-6 on the year and looking to move to 3-1 to start SEC play against the Rebels on Wednesday night. Here’s everything you need to know to watch, including the latest odds from BetMGM.

Bucs open as six point underdogs on road against Lions

Being an underdog seemed to work for the Bucs on Monday, but they face what should be a much greater challenge in Detroit for the divisional.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their first matchup against the Detroit Lions in an NFC Central reunion in Week 6. Now, that rivalry reignites on a much bigger stage.

The Bucs are set to take on the Detroit Lions in the second round of the NFC playoffs, but this time, it’ll be back on the road at Ford Field. The Bucs got drubbed 20-6 last time around, and bettors seem to remember — Detroit has opened up as six-point favorites over Tampa Bay for the Divisional Round, according to BetMGM.

Both teams are quite different from the first time they played. On the plus side for the Bucs, they’ve drastically changed since then, getting a bit more in rhythm offensively and doing better with personnel, starting players like Yaya Diaby and moving others like Zyon McCollum to safety when that wasn’t happening before. On the flip side, the Lions were badly hurt when they played the Bucs the first time, missing players like C.J. Gardner Johnson and David Montgomery, and they won’t be the second time around.

While the Lions should probably be favored after some good play against the Los Angeles Rams, the NFL is all about any given Sunday — so we’ll see how it goes when the lights hit the turf.

Betting line released by FanDuel for Alabama’s 2024 SEC opener vs. Georgia

How does FanDuel expect DeBoer to fare in his SEC debut?

On Monday night, Alabama and Washington fans both grieved together as the Michigan Wolverines knocked off the Huskies to win the final national title of the four-team college football playoff era. Despite the national title loss, the world was in Washington’s hands as they were set to enter the Big Ten with one of the best young coaches in the sport.

Here we are not even five days later and [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] retired from the sport and the Crimson Tide stole that young coach, [autotag]Kalen DeBoer[/autotag] from out West. It is a twist that literally nobody saw coming, but there is a ton of excitement in Alabama surrounding the new hire. DeBoer has boasted a 104-12 head coaching record, but coming into the SEC will be a whole new animal.

Everyone has been so focused on the coaching change that anything beyond the next five minutes is too far in advance to worry about. Interestingly enough though, FanDuel has released their line for DeBoer’s first SEC game as head coach when the Tide will host Georgia on Sept. 28. The Bulldogs will be a 2.5-point favorite as of this minute, but that is guarateed to fluxuate over the next eight months.
