Tampa Bay’s opening Super Bowl odds for 2024

See where Vegas thinks Tampa Bay will stack up among the league in contention for a championship next year.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be in the offseason, but it’s never too early to think about the next year.

The Bucs came two games short of a Super Bowl berth in 2023, making it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs before losing to the Detroit Lions. Despite the impressive performance (especially given preseason expectation), there’s a lot to consider when it comes to 2024 — the Bucs have 18 unrestricted free agents, many of whom were crucial pieces for the team in 2023. Given that those sort of things haven’t been sorted out, it’s a bit early to take bets on who will win the Super Bowl next year, but DraftKings has you covered anyway.

The Bucs currently have the 21st-highest odds to win Super Bowl LIX (or 59, for brevity’s sake). Interestingly enough, the Atlanta Falcons have much higher odds through DraftKings at +2800 than Tampa Bay’s +6000, though both the New Orleans Saints (+8000) and the Carolina Panthers (+25000) have much lower chances, too.

Check out the full list from DraftKings below:

The San Francisco 49ers have the best odds to win at +550, while that +25000 for the Panthers under former Bucs OC Dave Canales is the worst.

Bucs favored by 5.5 points against the Carolina Panthers

The Bucs couldn’t get the job done in Week 17, but they’ll have one more chance in Week 18.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers couldn’t get it done in Week 17, but now, they’ll get an extra chance to make it happen in the final week of the season.

The Bucs lost to the New Orleans Saints in a potential division-clinching win on Sunday, but they’re favored to clinch it in Week 18 against the Carolina Panthers. According to BetMGM, the Bucs open up as 5.5-point favorites on the road against the Panthers, with the moneyline in favor of Tampa Bay at -275 and the over/under set at 37.5.

Should the Bucs beat the Panthers, they’ll clinch the NFC South. Should the Panthers beat the Bucs, however, Tampa Bay will be eliminated from the playoffs entirely with no chance of securing a wild-card berth. In that event, the winner of the Atlanta Falcons and Saints game would determine the winner of the NFC South and who would host a home playoff game.

Bucs favored by three in crucial NFC South matchup vs. Saints

The Bucs are on a hot streak and they’re currently favored to win a potential division-clinching matchup against the Saints.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one win away from an NFC South title, and to get it, they’ll need to go through one of their biggest rivals.

The Bucs are set to play the New Orleans Saints on New Year’s Eve, and as it stands, they’re favored going into the matchup according to BetMGM. The Bucs are favored by three points against the Saints, with the over/under set at 42.5 and the Bucs favored on the money line -160.

The Bucs easily beat the Saints last time out, winning the contest 26-9 in New Orleans to move to 3-1. Tampa Bay went on quite the skid after that, but it’s right back to playing great football at 8-7 heading into the matchup. The Saints are 7-8 and just lost to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16, paving the way for the Bucs to clinch the NFC South with a victory in Raymond James Stadium. The team can beat either them or the Carolina Panthers the next week to clinch the division, but there will certainly be motivation to beat the Saints at home to secure a playoff spot.

Bucs open as 3.5-point road underdogs against the Packers in Week 15

The Packers have won four of their last five games since starting the season 2-5, so the Bucs will have a tough challenge next weekend.

Good things happened the last time the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played on the road at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. According to bettors, though, Bucs fans shouldn’t expect a repeat.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to play the Green Bay Packers next Sunday in Week 15, and according to BetMGM, Green Bay has opened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Bucs. The moneyline is currently in favor of the Packers at -175 and the over/under is set at 43.

There was a time this season where the Bucs would likely have been favored against the Packers, but Green Bay has gotten exponentially better in the last few weeks. Green Bay has won four of their last five games and quarterback Jordan Love has vastly improved, so it will be quite a big test for the Bucs to go on the road and beat a Packers squad that is better than their record would indicate at the moment.

The Packers will be the last NFC North team Tampa Bay faces. The Bucs are currently 2-1 against the division, defeating the Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings but losing to the division-leading Detroit Lions.

Bucs open as 2.5-point underdogs vs. Falcons

The Bucs are underdogs heading into a crucial game against the leaders of the NFC South.

Just like last time around, perhaps the most important game of Tampa Bay’s season will come against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Bucs and the Falcons square off on Dec. 10 in what could be a deciding matchup in the NFC South, as the 5-7 Bucs are coming off a win and are just one game back from the 6-6 Atlanta Falcons. The matchup will be played in Atlanta, and should the Bucs win, they’ll take share of first place in the NFC South — should the Bucs lose, though, their playoff chances will grow dire.

The Falcons are favored in the game by 2.5 points, per BetMGM. The over/under is currently set at 39 points and the Falcons are favored on the moneyline at -135.

The last time the two teams played, the Falcons defeated the Bucs in a grueling game that ended 16-13 in favor of Atlanta after kicker Younghoe Koo hit the walk-off kick to win. Tampa Bay will look to avoid that this time around,

Bucs open as 1.5-point favorites against the Tennessee Titans in Week 10

The Bucs remain favored in their quest to end a four-game losing streak, but only barely.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are favored in their next matchup despite losing four straight games and going just 1-3 at home, but it isn’t by a lot.

BetMGM has the Bucs favored by 1.5 points against the Tennessee Titans, who are coming to town with a new quarterback under center in Will Levis. The Bucs were just bested by a rookie quarterback in C.J. Stroud, so the team will look to limit Levis’ impact next Sunday. The money line is in favor of Tampa Bay at -115 while bettors don’t expect the two squads to score a lot of points, with the over-under set at 38.5.

Both the Bucs and the Titans are 3-5, but the Titans are only coming off a one-game losing streak while the Bucs have dropped four in a row. The Titans also defeated the Atlanta Falcons with their most recent win, while the Bucs struggled with that same Falcons team at home a few weeks ago. Tampa Bay will have to win this game, as another loss could take them squarely out of the playoff race.

Bucs open as narrow underdogs against the Houston Texans for Week 9

The Texans lost to the worst team in football in Week 8, but that didn’t stop them from opening as favorites in Week 9 against the Bucs.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to play on the road against the Houston Texans in Week 9, and playing in hostile territory seems to have bettors going against them.

Tampa Bay opened on Monday as 2.5-point underdogs against the Texans, according to BetMGM. The two teams are both 3-4, but the Texans get the nod in early betting lines despite losing to the worst team in football in the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. The Bucs, however, have dropped three games in a row and desperately look to avoid a fourth to prevent a deadly snowball effect.

Bettors aren’t convinced that a lot of points will be scored, as the over/under is currently set at 40. The Texans are favored on the money line at -150.

The game will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston at 1 p.m. EST.

Bucs open as 2.5-point favorites over Atlanta Falcons

The Bucs are set to play their second NFC South matchup of the year this coming Sunday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hit a rough patch against the Detroit Lions in Week 6, but the team is still atop the NFC South — and it remains favored against its division opponents.

The Bucs have a big game this coming Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, and according to BetMGM, Tampa Bay is favored by 2.5 points at home against Atlanta. The over-under is set at a small 38.5 and the Bucs are also favored on the moneyline at -145.

The Atlanta Falcons have majorly struggled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in recent years. The Falcons have won just twice against the Bucs in their last eight tries, with their most recent win in 2022 coming after Tampa Bay had sat all of their starters for the second half. Both teams could use this win — the Bucs could pull further away in the NFC South by going one game up on the Falcons, while the Falcons could make up some ground in its race with the New Orleans Saints for the top of the division.
