2024 4-star OL Bennett Warren commits to Tennessee over Texas A&M

Predicted by many to land with Texas A&M, 2024 4-star OL Bennett Warren will head to Knoxville after committing to Tennessee.

For Texas A&M, the 2024 recruiting cycle has been very, very kind to Jimbo Fisher and Co. this offseason; with a total of 18 verbal commits, 12 players have announced their intentions since June, while last weekend’s annual recruiting pool party was a rousing success per usual.

However, the Aggies can’t win every recruiting battle, leading to Monday’s news that 2024 four-star offensive lineman Bennett Warren, who was projected to land with either Michigan or Texas A&M, screw us all for a loop, committing to one of the rising programs in the SEC, the Tennessee Volunteers.

As one of the top offenses in the country last season, Head Coach Josh Heupel is essentially Bob the Builder after losing 2022 starting quarterback Hendon Hooker to the NFL Draft, the simple question, “Can he fix it?” has been answered in the name of Joe Milton, who possesses one the biggest arms in all of college football.

From an O-line perspective, the Vols have produced the likes of former five-star guard Trey Smith, who is now a starter for the Kansas City Chiefs, and most recently witnessing offensive tackle Darnell Wright go 10th overall to the Chicago Bears in the 2023 NFL Draft. As the 5th-ranked OT in the 2024 recruiting class, Bennett Warren’s unique blend of size, strength, balance, and athleticism immediately jolts him into the conversation as an immediate starter/rotational player in 2024.

Looking ahead for the Aggies, four-star OT Weston Davis and four-star OT Ashton Funk join three-star IOL Coen Echols as the lone offensive line commits in the 2024 class, yet Fisher and his staff still have their eyes on four-star IOL Blake Ivy, who remains a favorite to land with the Aggies.

2024 4-star OL Bennett Warren has announced his upcoming commitment date

2024 4-star OL Bennett Warren, who remains a high-priority recruiting target for the Aggies, has announced his commitment date.

That’s now two high-priority 2024 prospects for Texas A&M announcing their commitment dates just hours apart from one another, as five-star defensive lineman David Stone Jr. will announce on Aug. 26, while four-star offensive lineman Bennett Warren will choose his future collegiate program on Monday, July 31.

Coincidentally, both players are confirmed visitors for this weekend’s recruiting pool party, held annually in College Station during the last weekend of July to bring as many prospects in current and future recruiting cycles together for an official visit and a chance to develop bonds that might lead to a commitment or several down the line.

According to 247Sports, Warren is currently positioned as the 82nd-ranked player in the 2024 cycle, the 5th-ranked offensive tackle, and the 14th-ranked player in Texas. Sticking with his final four program list, Warren will choose between Tennessee, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Texas A&M.

He is heading into his final senior season with Fort Bend Christian Academy as by far the most dominant player in the program while also participating in Basketball and shot put as a Track & Field athlete, adding his versatile athletic profile.

As I’ve said before, Warren’s high school tape is basically a 6-8 and 330-pound giant knocking over young men half his size, and it’s simply a beautiful sight to witness. As it stands, Texas A&M has a 37.5% chance to land the future blocking star, while Michigan is presently leading at 62.5%; however, never down the Aggie pool party magic that is bound to take effect in some former this weekend.

Michigan football 4-star OT Target Bennett Warren sets commitment date

Hopefully it’s good news for #GoBlue

Michigan football has long been looking for a sixth offensive lineman in the 2024 recruiting class.

The Wolverines have three four-stats (Blake Frazier, Luke Hamilton, and Andrew Sprague) and two three-stars (Jake Guarnera and Ben Roebuck) committed. The maize and blue appeared to be in the pole position for Michael Uini before he ultimately ended up at Georgia.

One player has long considered Michigan football and has had it as his leader a few times. 2024 Sugar Land (Tx.) Fort Bend Christian four-star offensive tackle Bennett Warren has been on campus a few times, including at the spring game and in June. Warren is set to make his commitment in July 31.

Warren will be choosing between Michigan, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma. Michigan is currently the 247Sports Crystal Ball leader but the Vols have been surging
