BC Lions at Edmonton Elks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s BC Lions at Edmonton Elks odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The BC Lions (5-3) and Edmonton Elks (1-7) meet Sunday for a Week 10 battle at Commonwealth Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (CBSSN/TSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the BC Lions vs. Elks odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Lions returned from a Week 8 bye with a stunning 25-0 loss at Winnipeg in Week 9, coming nowhere near covering as a 4.5-point favorite as the Under (49.5) cashed. The Lions have allowed 20 or more points in 6 straight outings, while the Under is 5-2 in the past 7 contests.

The Elks opened the season 0-7 straight up (SU) and 3-4 against the spread (ATS) in the first 7 games, but Edmonton finally picked up its 1st victory of the season at Saskatchewan in Week 9, 42-31. It won outright as a 4.5-point underdog, cashing the Over (48) for the 2nd straight outing. It’s the 1st time the total has gone high in consecutive weeks for the Elks this season.

BC has won 8 in a row in this series since 2021, and the Lions are 7-1 ATS in that span, while the Under has cashed in 4 of the previous 5 meetings. That includes a 24-21 win in Vancouver back in Week 4, although the Elks were able to grab the cover in that outing as a 6.5-point underdog. The Under (53) cashed, too.

BC Lions at Elks picks and predictions

Prediction

BC Lions 22, Elks 19

Moneyline

BC LIONS (+106) are worth a look in this road contest, whether or not starting QB Adams is able to suit up.

The offense looked dismal last week against Winnipeg before he left with a hyperextended knee in the 4th quarter. If he is unable to go, BC should still have enough to take down the Elks (-128), maintain its dominance in the series.

Against the spread

BC Lions +1.5 (-110) doesn’t make much sense to play, unless you’re dead-set on Edmonton -1.5 (-110) winning, but only by a single point.

If you like the Lions, just play them straight up on the moneyline for a much better value.

PASS.

Over/Under

UNDER 48.5 (-110) might be the best play on the board in this final battle on the Week 10 CFL schedule.

BC was blanked in Week 9, and it has cashed low on the total in 2 in a row, and 5 of the past 7 outings. The Under is 3-1 in the past 4 games on the road, too.

For the Elks, while the Over is 3-1 in 4 home games this season, the Under cashed in the first meeting with the Lions in Week 4.

BC Lions at Calgary Stampeders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s BC Lions at Calgary Stampeders Week 7 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Week 7 schedule concludes on Sunday with the BC Lions (5-1) on the road facing the Calgary Stampeders (2-3). Kickoff at McMahon Stadium is at 7 p.m. ET (TSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Lions vs. Stampeders odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Lions have won 5 games in a row since their season-opening loss. That winning streak started with a 26-17 home win over Calgary, covering the 8-point spread. They are coming off a 35-20 home win over Saskatchewan, covering the 7-point spread as favorites. The Over (51) cashed in.

The Stampeders have lost 2 in a row and 3 of their last 4. They are coming off a 41-37 road loss to Winnipeg, covering the 6-point spread as underdogs. The Over (47.5) cashed in.

Lions at Stampeders picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 34, Stampeders 28

Moneyline

The Lions lead the CFL in scoring, averaging 30.3 points per game. They have put up 79 in their last 2 games while the Stampeders have allowed 71 points in their last 2 games.

The Lions have beaten the Stampeders in 5 of their last 6 meetings and should get their 6th straight win, but don’t bet the moneyline at -205, lacking the value you want in a wager.

PASS.

Against the spread

In their 5 straight wins, the Lions have covered the spread in 4 of them. They have won their last 2 games each by 15 or more. They have covered the spread in their last 7 wins over Calgary.

Calgary has covered the spread in 4 of their 5 games this season. Their only ATS loss was to BC.

BET LIONS -4.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Their 1st meeting had a total of 43 points, but both teams’ last 2 games have all had totals of at least 55 points.

BET OVER 52.5 (-115).

Saskatchewan Roughriders at BC Lions odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Saskatchewan Roughriders at BC Lions Week 6 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-0) and BC Lions (4-1) meet Saturday for a Week 6 battle at BC Place in Vancouver. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network/TSN). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Roughriders vs. BC Lions odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Roughriders won 30-23 against the Toronto Argonauts in Week 5 as 4-point home underdogs, picking up where they left off before the Week 4 bye. Saskatchewan is 4-0 against the spread (ATS), and the Over has cashed in all 4 outings, too.

Saskatchewan has rolled up 29 or more points in all 4 games while allowing at least 20 points in each of the victories. The Riders are the only unbeaten team in the CFL after Montreal’s setback Friday night against Toronto.

The BC Lions have racked up 4 consecutive victories since a Week 1 loss at Toronto. The Lions routed the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 44-28 in Week 5, cashing as 5.5-point road favorites, while the Over (53.5) cashed for the 1st time since the opener. BC is 3-1 ATS in the past 4 outings, too.

The home team has won the past 3 meetings in this series, although the road team is 4-3 in the past 7 battles since Sept. 24, 2021. Saskatchewan holds a 3-0-1 ATS advantage in the past 4 games, while the Over has cashed in the past 2 installments.

Roughriders at BC Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Roughriders 29, BC Lions 25

Moneyline

The Lions (-345) will cost you more than 3 times your potential return, and that’s way too expensive for a standalone wager, or as part of a multi-leg parlay. They’re far too risky given the extensive injury report, too.

For SASKATCHEWAN (+270), it is unbeaten in 4 games, including a pair of victories on the road. Take a chance on the road side to get the job done.

Against the spread

If you’re a little less adventurous, SASKATCHEWAN +7.5 (-114) is a tremendous play catching 7 and a hook.

The Riders have covered all 4 games to date, including a pair of victories on the road. Saskatchewan is 3-0-1 ATS in the past 4 meetings in this series, too. Back the green, and feel confidently in doing so.

Over/Under

OVER 51.5 (-110) is worth playing lightly in this West Division tilt.

While the Riders have managed an unbeaten record through 4 games, the defense has been susceptible to the big play. SSK has allowed 94 points, or 23.5 PPG across 4 outings, while averaging 32.0 PPG on offense.

For BC, it has managed a healthy 29.4 PPG across 5 outings while coughing up 25.0 PPG. Look for plenty of end-to-end action at BC Place Saturday.

The BC Lions (3-1) are on the road Sunday to face the winless Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-4) In Week 5 of the CFL season. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. ET at Tim Hortons Field. Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Lions vs. Tiger-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

After a season-opening loss to the Toronto Argonauts, the Lions have won 3 straight games. They are coming off a 24-21 home win over the Edmonton Elks, failing to cover the 6.5-point spread as favorites. The Under (53) cashed in.

Hamilton has lost the 1st 4 games of this season and have a 7-game losing streak dating back to last season. Last week, they had their closest game, losing on the road 24-22 to the Ottawa Redblacks. They were 1-point favorites in the game and the Under (52) cashed in.

Lions at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 24, Tiger-Cats 21

Moneyline

Entering the week, no one had allowed more points than Hamilton, giving up 31.3 points per game. The fewest they allowed was last week, giving up 24 in a 24-22 loss.

The Lions, after allowing 35 in the season opener, have allowed an average of 20.7 points in their 3 wins. Even with the 35 points allowed in the opener, they have given up the 2nd-fewest points in the league. They have scored 24 or more in every game this season.

Ride with the hot Lions to win but don’t bet them on the moneyline here at -245.

PASS.

Against the spread

Hamilton has not covered the spread yet this season, but they have not had more than a 2-point spread in any game. Two of their 4 losses have been by 3 or fewer points.

BC is 2-2 ATS and has been part of 2 close games, winning by a total of 5 points combined in their last 2 games.

Hamilton will play this game close. I don’t have enough confidence to wager on an outright win for the nice plus odds on the moneyline, but I do expect the Tiger-Cats to cover the spread for the 1st time.

BET TIGER-CATS +4.5 (-105).

Over/Under

BC has not seen a total over 50 in their 3 wins.

The Over hit in Hamilton’s 1st 3 games but it was the Under that cashed in last week, as the total in their loss to Ottawa was 46.

BET UNDER 53.5 (-110).

Edmonton Elks at BC Lions odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Edmonton Elks at BC Lions Week 4 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Edmonton Elks (0-3) and the BC Lions (2-1) meet Thursday for a Week 4 battle at BC Place. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (TSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Elks vs. Lions odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Elks have stumbled out of the chute with 3 consecutive losses to start the 2024 campaign. However, all 3 contests have been one-score games, including a pair of losses by 3 points each — at home to defending champ Montreal and on the road at Toronto. The Elks covered both outings.

Edmonton has scored at least 20 points in each game to date, cashing the Over in 2 of the 3 outings. That includes an Over (49) result in Week 3 at Toronto in a 39-36 loss. Unfortunately for the Elks, they’ve allowed at least 23 points in all 3 games, and 29 or more points in 2 of the setbacks.

The Lions rebounded from a disappointing 35-27 loss at Toronto in Week 1 to pick up consecutive wins — at home against Calgary and on the road vs. Winnipeg. The Lions edged the Blue Bombers 26-24 on the road as 2.5-point underdogs. The Over hit in the Week 1 loss, while the Under connected in the pair of victories.

Lions QB Vernon Adams Jr. (abdominal) is listed as questionable on the injury report, but coach Rick Adams said it is better than 50-50 that the QB starts. Plus, Wednesday reports indicated Adams had the green light to play, according to cfl.ca.

Adams has completed 66.3% of his passes for 1,038 yards, 6 TDs and 1 INT with 65 rushing yards and 1 TD through 3 games.

These teams met 3 times last season, with the Lions not only winning all 3 meetings, but posting 2 shutouts. BC has won 7 straight overall in the series, while covering all 7 of those contests.

BC won 22-0 in Week 2 last season as a 7-point favorite and cashed in Week 8 by winning on the road 29-0, while covering as a 7-point favorite. The Elks put up a fight in Week 16 at home but fell 37-29 as the Lions covered as 5.5-point favorites. The Under has cashed in 3 of the past 4 meetings.

Elks at Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 29, Elks 18

Moneyline

The Lions (-350) will cost 3½ times the potential return, and that’s way too much risk despite the fact they have won 7 straight in this series, including a pair of shutouts last season.

The Elks (+260) have really struggled to get into the win column, both last season, and certainly this season — they were 4-14 a year ago. However, Edmonton hasn’t been a pushover, and it has the tools on offense to at least make it somewhat close.

PASS.

Against the spread

The LIONS -7 (-110) have covered 7 in a row in this series, so until the Elks are able to get over the hump and grab a cover against their West Division rivals, you have to back the boys from Vancouver.

The Lions were awfully disappointing in Week 1 at Toronto, but have since pulled things together with a pair of solid wins. The offense has managed 26 or more points in all 3 games, and the defense has recovered after the poor initial showing.

Over/Under

UNDER 52.5 (-105) is a rather high number for this Week 4 matchup.

It’s a short week, so that’s always a good thing for the Under. In addition, the Under has cashed in 3 of the past 4 meetings in this series, with Edmonton failing to record a point in 2 of the 3 matchups last season.

BC has hit the Under in each of the previous 2 weekends, too, while Edmonton has managed a 2-1 run to the Over so far. The Elks have had issues figuring things out against the Lions, and that is likely to be the case again on Thursday.

BC Lions at Winnipeg Blue Bombers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s BC Lions at Winnipeg Blue Bombers Week 3 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The CFL Week 3 schedule continues Friday with the BC Lions (1-1) on the road, taking on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (0-2). Kickoff is 8:30 p.m. ET (TSN) at Princess Auto Stadium. Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Lions vs. Blue Bombers odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Lions, after a 35-27 season-opening loss to Toronto, bounced back in Week 2 to defeat Calgary 26-17 at home, covering the 8-point spread as favorites. The Under (51) cashed in.

The Blue Bombers are winless to start the season. After a 27-12 loss to Montreal to start their 2024 campaign, they were defeated 23-19 on the road by Ottawa as 7-point favorites. The Under (47.5) cashed in.

Lions at Blue Bombers picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 25, Blue Bombers 21

Moneyline

Winnipeg’s offense just has not taken off this season. Their 19 points last week were the most they scored since the preseason started. In 4 games, including the preseason, they have scored 12, 10, 12 and 19.

The Lions scored 26 and 27 in their first 2 games of the season. They did, though, give up 35 to Toronto in their season opener but held Calgary to 17.

But until Winnipeg shows even a glimpse of the offense that led the CFL last season in scoring, you need to hold back on backing them.

BET LION (+112).

Against the spread

The Blue Bombers were favored in both their games and lost outright. Here they are favored again?

The Lions are 1-1 ATS, also favored in both of their games this season.

Expecting the Lions to win this game outright, the plus odds on the moneyline make more sense to bet than the spread.

PASS.

Over/Under

The Over hit in BC’s season opener, but Winnipeg’s highest total in 2 games has been 42.

Last week’s game for BC had a total of 43 combined points.

While the Blue Bombers struggle to find their form offensively, don’t expect the game to reach the 50’s.

BET UNDER 51.5 (-110).

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Calgary Stampeders (1-0) and the BC Lions (0-1) meet Saturday in a Week 2 battle at BC Place. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network/TSN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Stampeders vs. Lions odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Stampeders picked up a 32-24 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a 1-point favorites as the Over (44.5) easily cashed in the opener at McMahon Stadium.

The Ti-Cats actually had 28 first downs to just 20 for the Stamps in Week 1, while Hamilton outgained Calgary at a 468-to-369 clip. However, Calgary was plus-1 in turnovers, and it had a 30:53 time of possession mark to 28:30 for Hamilton.

Calgary QB Jake Maier was very efficient, completing 21-of-26 passes for 252 yards with 2 TDs and 0 picks, while RB Dedrick Mills was good for 87 rushing yards to give the Stamps a balanced offensive attack.

The BC Lions went on the road to face a Toronto Argonauts team which was believed to be in disarray. But it was the Lions who lost a messy 35-27 decision Sunday. Now, they come back on short rest. BC outgained Toronto at a 423-to-374 clip in total yards, but the Lions turned it over 5 times to just once for the Argonauts. BC never got into the red zone, either, while going 0-for-3 in 3rd-down efficiency.

These teams met 3 times in the regular season, and once in the playoffs. BC won 2 of 3 meetings in the regular season, with the Lions going 2-1 against the spread (ATS). BC also won 41-30 as a 7-point favorite in the first round of the playoffs as the Over (50) cashed.

Stampeders at Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 29, Stampeders 23

Moneyline

The Lions (-400) return for their team opener, and you cannot risk 4 times your potential return. The Lions were super sloppy in a loss against a shaky Toronto team last weekend.

On the flip side, the Stampeders (+310) got the job done in Week 1. While it’s tempting to play Calgary straight up to multiply up by more than 3 times, this is a team which won just once in 4 tries against BC.

PASS.

Against the spread

The STAMPEDERS +8.5 (-115) are a strong play catching the points.

While it’s hard to believe the Lions won’t clean things up after turning it over 5 times in Week 1, it’s also hard to forget about that stat. BC was sloppy in a game it should have been able to win. Now, the Lions return on a short week after playing Sunday. So, have they had enough time to get it all right?

Over/Under

OVER 50.5 (-110) is a solid play in this Week 2 battle between West Division rivals.

The Over cashed in the final 2 meetings last season, and the winning team scored 37 or more points in each of the past 3 battles. The Over is also 6-3-1 in the past 10 meetings in this series.

The Stamps rolled up 32 points last week, while allowing 24 points, too, easily cashing the Over. In Week 1, BC allowed 35 points, and the Over hit in its opener, too. Go high, and don’t look back.

BC Lions at Toronto Argonauts odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s BC Lions at Toronto Argonauts Week 1 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The BC Lions and the Toronto Argonauts open their CFL regular seasons Sunday at BMO Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network/TSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Lions vs. Argonauts odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Lions finished 11-5 in the regular season, and BC posted a 41-30 win over Calgary in the division semifinals before bowing out to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the division finals. BC finished 8-9-1 against the spread (ATS) last season, while the Over ended up with an 11-6-1 advantage, including the final 7 games of the regular season.

These teams met once last season, also in Toronto, with the Argonauts posting a 45-24 win as 3-point underdogs as the Over (47.5) easily connected. BC QB Vernon Adams Jr. passed for 388 yards and 3 TDs, but Toronto had a more balanced attack with 106 rushing yards, 249 passing yards and a whopping 362 return yards. Robertson Daniel capped off the scoring with a 62-yard INT for TD.

For the Argos, QB Chad Kelly was suspended at least 9 regular-season games for violating the CFL’s policy of gender-based violence following an investigation into a lawsuit filed by a former strength and conditioning coach against Kelly and the team. He was the CFL’s most outstanding player last season, and Toronto had a franchise-best 16-2 record.

QBs Nick Arbuckle and Cameron Dukes figure to vie for the primary reps under center until Kelly can return, but the Argos will have a much different look until such point. Defensively, Toronto is still strong, but it lost coordinator Corey Mace to the head coaching job in Saskatchewan this season.

Jake Ceresna, who had 12 sacks last season, was acquired from the Edmonton Elks for WR Kurleigh Gittens Jr. and a 7th-round pick in 2024.

BC Lions at Argonauts picks and predictions

Prediction

BC Lions 32, Argonauts 19

Moneyline

The BC Lions (-275) are a little on the pricey side, costing nearly 3 times your potential return. That’s a pretty steep price tag, but the Argonauts (+210) are a complete mess going into the season.

Arbuckle and Dukes will jockey for the starting gig under center until Kelly can return, but that’s a giant downgrade. Plus, Toronto is a little banged up for a team going into the opener, so that’s a concern.

PASS.

Against the spread

The BC LIONS -5.5 (-115) are worth backing for a much better value.

Last season, the Argonauts +5.5 (-105) were a buzzsaw, crushing the Lions in their only regular-season meeting. However, Toronto should struggle during the early going, so it’s a perfect scenario for BC to take advantage, go on the road and start off strong.

Over/Under

OVER 47.5 (-105) is the lean in this East-West rivalry, but be careful not to overdo it.

While the Lions offense should be purring, remember that the Argos are going to have a much different look. In last season’s Week 4 matchup, Toronto did most of the heavy lifting to make the total go high, and the Argos were an Over machine in 2023 down the stretch. But be cautious, as we don’t really know how the Toronto offense is going to look early on.

Calgary Stampeders at BC Lions odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Calgary Stampeders at BC Lions Week 20 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Calgary Stampeders (5-11) and BC Lions (12-5) meet Friday at BC Place. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (CFL+/TSN). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Stampeders vs. Lions odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Stampeders covered the spread as 3.5-point home favorites with a 26-19 win last Friday vs. the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the Under (48.5) cashed. Calgary can secure a spot in the postseason with a win Friday, coupled with a Roughriders loss vs. the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday.

The Lions failed to cover as 3.5-point favorites in a 33-30 win at the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as the Over (50) hit last Friday. If BC wins Friday — and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers lose straight up as 11.5-point favorites vs. the Edmonton Elks Saturday — it will still have a shot at hosting the Western Final.

BC is 2-0 straight up and against the spread (ATS) vs. Calgary this year, and the Under has gone 1-0-1 in those meetings.

Stampeders at Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Stampeders 23, Lions 22

Moneyline

I question BC’s focus in this game, especially after Adams Jr. sustained a knee injury late in the 4th quarter at Hamilton last time out. Winnipeg has a less than 18% chance of losing to Edmonton Saturday, and a Blue Bombers loss still wouldn’t guarantee the Lions home field in the Western Final.

What we do know is that the Stampeders will be as focused as possible Friday in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. Calgary is in a must-win game to make the postseason, while the Lions are rolling out Adams Jr. fresh off a knee injury in an unlikely attempt to host the Western Final.

SPRINKLE on STAMPEDERS (+330).

Against the spread

Taking the points is the safer option in this game, especially since the Lions have no motivation to win by margin. They won the 1st 2 meetings this season by double digits and will need to protect Adams Jr. from reinjuring his knee. While I like Calgary’s odds to win straight up at +330, it is more probable that it keeps this game close and falls short at the end.

BET STAMPEDERS +8.5 (-110).

FOOTBALL NEVER STOPS

Over/Under

The Under has hit in 4 straight Stampeders games.

The Under has also gone 3-0-1 in the last 4 meetings between these teams. Calgary will be as focused as possible to win and make the playoffs for an 18th straight season, and its defense should help the Under hit vs. Adams Jr. off a knee injury.

BET UNDER 49.5 (-110).

BC Lions at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s BC Lions at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The BC Lions (11-5) and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-8) meet Friday for a Week 19 matchup at Tim Horton’s Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario. Kickoff for is set for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the BC Lions vs. Tiger-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Lions were on the short end of a 34-26 overtime loss in Week 18 at home, failing to cover as 1-point underdogs as the Over (53) cashed. That halted a 4-game win streak, although BC is just 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in the past 7 games overall.

The Over has cashed in 5 in a row for BC, while going 7-1-1 in the past 9 contests. Oddly enough, that lone Under result was in Week 12 at home against the Tiger-Cats on Aug. 26, a 30-13 setback as 10.5-point favorites with a total of 45.5.

As far as playoff scenarios, both teams are in the postseason, but still playing for plenty. BC can still claim the West Division, but a loss gives the Blue Bombers the title. A loss by the Tiger-Cats means Montreal will secure a home game in the playoffs, while Hamilton can still host by winning out, and seeing Montreal lose out.

BC Lions at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

BC Lions 26, Tiger-Cats 19

Moneyline

BC Lions (-175) has too much risk for not enough reward. The Lions were humbled by 17 points at home against the Ti-Cats back in late August. While Hamilton has a laundry list of players on the injury report, it still dusted BC when it counted before.

PASS.

Against the spread

BC LIONS -3.5 (-110) is the lean, but go lightly.

Again, it’s hard to forget about the 1st matchup on Aug. 26, as the Tiger-Cats +3.5 (-110) thoroughly outplayed the Lions in Vancouver, winning by 17 points as a 10.5-point underdog.

However, the Ti-Cats will rest the dual-threat Powell, and Hamilton could be down 3 key contributors on offense.

Over/Under

UNDER 48.5 (-110) is a strong play based on the lengthy injury report for Hamilton.

While the Over has dominated for the BC Lions lately, the Under did cash in the 1st meeting between these teams. And the Under is 5-2 in the past 7 games in The Hammer for the Ti-Cats. And, for what it’s worth, the Under is 8-3 in the past 11 games in Week 19 for the BC Lions, too.
