Lions at Elks picks and  predictions

Prediction

BC Lions 25, Elks 13

Moneyline

The Lions (-375) will cost you nearly 4 times your potential return, and that’s quite risky for not much reward. In addition, Adams Jr. is a question mark to play. While QB Dane Evans is more than capable of handling the reins, whomever is under center will have to deal with the absence of Rhymes, who has 18 receptions for 285 yards and 5 receiving scores, which is half of the team’s total TD grabs.

PASS.

Against the spread

BC LIONS -7.5 (-110) is worth playing lightly.

The questionable status for Adams is a concern, and the absence of Rhymes is a problem, too. But Edmonton +7.5 (-110) has been horrific this season, and it simply cannot be trusted, especially against a team it suffered a shutout against in Week 2.

Over/Under

UNDER 43.5 (-115) is worth a look.

Edmonton has been terrible this season, averaging just 15.0 points per game (PPG), while ranking dead-last in the CFL with just 320.3 total yards per game, too.

The Lions struggled in their Week 2 matchup against Edmonton, mustering just 22 points. However, the defense didn’t allow a single point. Expect another lower-scoring game in the rematch.
