Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Montreal Alouettes odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Montreal Alouettes odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-9) and Montreal Alouettes (10-7) meet Saturday for a Week 21 matchup at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. Kickoff for is set for 4 p.m. ET (TSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Tiger-Cats vs. Alouettes odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Tiger-Cats head to Montreal, which will also be the site of next weekend’s East Division semifinal. Don’t expect either side to show much in this meaningless regular-season finale, as both teams are locked into their seeds.

Hamilton lost 33-30 against the BC Lions last weekend, but it covered the 3.5-point number at most shops. The Ti-Cats are 5-1 against the spread (ATS) across the past 6 games.

Montreal has won 4 in a row to get into position for the home playoff game, and it has covered 5 in a row.

This will be the 1st time the Alouettes host the Tiger-Cats this season after 2 previous visits to The Hammer. The Als are 2-0 straight up (SU) and ATS against the Ti-Cats this season, cashing the Over (44) in Week 3, and Under (45) in Week 9.

Tiger-Cats at Alouettes picks and predictions

Prediction

Alouettes 22, Tiger-Cats 16

Moneyline

MONTREAL (-135) is worth playing, but go lightly. We don’t know how long certain players will play, as these teams meet again next weekend.

Hamilton (+110) could easily pull off the road win, but there are just so many unknowns. How long will the starters go? Will teams open up the playbook, or be rather vanilla, saving things for the playoff game? The latter is almost a certainty.

Against the spread

MONTREAL -2.5 (-110) is worth playing lightly, as it has won and covered in both previous meetings at Hamilton +2.5 (-110) this season.

Again, though, be careful, as there are a lot of unknowns with playing time, etc.

Over/Under

UNDER 47.5 (-110) is the lean, but play it very lightly in this dress rehearsal for the semifinal.

Montreal enters having cashed the Under in 5 of the past 6 games, and it has hit the Under in 3 of the past 5 games at home.

The total has gone low at a 2-2 clip in the past 4 games for Hamilton, so there isn’t much to glean there. The Under is 7-5 in the past 12 games overall for the Ti-Cats, including the most recent meeting with the Als in Week 9.

BC Lions at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s BC Lions at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The BC Lions (11-5) and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-8) meet Friday for a Week 19 matchup at Tim Horton’s Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario. Kickoff for is set for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the BC Lions vs. Tiger-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Lions were on the short end of a 34-26 overtime loss in Week 18 at home, failing to cover as 1-point underdogs as the Over (53) cashed. That halted a 4-game win streak, although BC is just 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in the past 7 games overall.

The Over has cashed in 5 in a row for BC, while going 7-1-1 in the past 9 contests. Oddly enough, that lone Under result was in Week 12 at home against the Tiger-Cats on Aug. 26, a 30-13 setback as 10.5-point favorites with a total of 45.5.

As far as playoff scenarios, both teams are in the postseason, but still playing for plenty. BC can still claim the West Division, but a loss gives the Blue Bombers the title. A loss by the Tiger-Cats means Montreal will secure a home game in the playoffs, while Hamilton can still host by winning out, and seeing Montreal lose out.

BC Lions at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

BC Lions 26, Tiger-Cats 19

Moneyline

BC Lions (-175) has too much risk for not enough reward. The Lions were humbled by 17 points at home against the Ti-Cats back in late August. While Hamilton has a laundry list of players on the injury report, it still dusted BC when it counted before.

PASS.

Against the spread

BC LIONS -3.5 (-110) is the lean, but go lightly.

Again, it’s hard to forget about the 1st matchup on Aug. 26, as the Tiger-Cats +3.5 (-110) thoroughly outplayed the Lions in Vancouver, winning by 17 points as a 10.5-point underdog.

However, the Ti-Cats will rest the dual-threat Powell, and Hamilton could be down 3 key contributors on offense.

Over/Under

UNDER 48.5 (-110) is a strong play based on the lengthy injury report for Hamilton.

While the Over has dominated for the BC Lions lately, the Under did cash in the 1st meeting between these teams. And the Under is 5-2 in the past 7 games in The Hammer for the Ti-Cats. And, for what it’s worth, the Under is 8-3 in the past 11 games in Week 19 for the BC Lions, too.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Saskatchewan Roughriders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Saskatchewan Roughriders Week 18 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (7-8) and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-9) meet Saturday for a Week 18 matchup at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Tigers-Cats vs. Roughriders odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Tiger-Cats recorded a 22-15 victory at home over Calgary last weekend, covering as 1.5-point favorites while cashing the Under (48.5). Hamilton is now 3-1 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) across the past 4 games and clinched a playoff spot with the victory over Calgary.

Hamilton is still alive to finish 2nd in the East Division, with a chance to host the Eastern Semifinals. However, it is a game behind the Montreal Alouettes and if Montreal wins its game against the Ottawa Redblacks Monday the Als would wrap up 2nd place.

The Roughriders are in the mix for a postseason spot, currently sitting the final position in the West Division. Saskatchewan is 2 games clear of the Stamps, Edmonton Elks and Redblacks. Should the Roughriders win, both Edmonton and Ottawa would be eliminated.

Saskatchewan has been allowing other teams to hang around, as the Roughriders have dropped 4 straight games while going just 1-3 ATS. The Over has cashed in 8 in a row for Saskatchewan as it has allowed 29 or more points in 7 consecutive contests and 33 or more points in 4 in a row.

This will be the only regular-season meeting between Hamilton and Saskatchewan. The home team has won and covered each of the past 6 meetings in this series dating back to 2019, with Saskatchewan winning the most recent battle in Regina on June 11, 2022, topping Hamilton 30-13 to cover a 2.5-point spread. The Under has cashed in 6 straight meetings too and is 8-1 across the past 9 in the series.

Tiger-Cats at Roughriders picks and predictions

Prediction

Roughriders 29, Tiger-Cats 26

Moneyline

Saskatchewan (-170) is just a little too expensive, costing more than 1/2 times your potential return. This is going to be a close game, as both teams are playing with something at stake.

PASS.

Against the spread

HAMILTON +3.5 (-115) is worth a look as it has been playing much better lately than Saskatchewan.

There is a risk, as the home side has won and covered the past 6 meetings. In addition, the Ti-Cats are a dismal 3-19-1 ATS in the past 23 trips to Regina and 3-8 ATS in the past 11 meetings overall.

However, the Ti-Cats are 4-1 ATS in the past 5 road games, while going 5-1 ATS in the past 6 against teams with a losing record. On the flip side, the Roughriders are just 4-9 ATS in the past 13 games at home, and 1-6 ATS in the past 7 against losing teams.

Over/Under

OVER 49.5 (-105) is the lean, especially since the total has gone high in 8 straight games for the Roughriders. The Over is 5-0 in the past 5 home games for Saskatchewan, too.

The Under has trended for the Tiger-Cats, going 7-3 in the past 10 games overall and cashing in 13 of the past 16 meetings in this series, including 4 straight in Regina. There are risks, but trends in recent games in the current season outweigh more historical or long-term trends.

Calgary Stampeders at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Calgary Stampeders at Hamilton Tiger-Cats Week 17 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Calgary Stampeders (4-10) and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-8) meet Saturday for a Week 17 matchup at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Stampeders vs. Tigers-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Stampeders have dropped the past 2 games, and 5 of the past 6 outings overall. However, Calgary has been playing tough, covering 4 of the past 5 outings, while going for 23 or more points in 3 of the past 4 contests.

Calgary was humbled last time out by the visiting Montreal Alouettes 28-11, failing to cover as 1-point favorites as the Under (49) cashed for the 2nd time in a row. The total has gone low at a 5-2-1 clip across the past 8 games for the Stamps.

The Tiger-Cats look to keep their postseason hopes alive against the subpar Stamps. Hamilton has won 2 of the past 3 games, and 3 of the previous 5 outings, while covering in each of the victories during the stretch, too. The Over is 3-1 across the past 4 outings, although the Under is 6-3 in the previous 9 games overall.

This is the 1st and only between between the Stamps and T-Cats this season. Hamilton won the most recent meeting Oct. 14, 2022, by a 35-32 score in Calgary, while the Ti-Cats are 4-1 ATS across the past 5 in the series.

Stampeders at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

Tiger-Cats 26, Stampeders 19

Moneyline

HAMILTON (-130) is the play in “the Hammer”, as the Ti-Cats look to keep their postseason hopes alive and well.

Calgary (+110) has just been too erratic this season, and it has lost 5 of the past 6 games overall to all but fall out of the postseason conversation.

Against the spread

HAMILTON -1.5 (-110) is slightly cheaper laying the little bit of points on their home field.

While, yes, Calgary has been fairly hot against the number lately, it is still just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 meetings with Hamilton.

The Ti-Cats are just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 games at home, but they’re 4-1 ATS in the past 5 games, while going 4-1 ATS in the past 5 games after a straight-up loss, and 4-1 ATS in the past 5 after a non-cover, too.

Over/Under

UNDER 47.5 (-110) is worth a look in this Week 17 matchup.

The Under has connected in 13 of the past 18 meetings in this series, while going 7-3 in the past 10 in Hamilton.

In addition, the total has gone low at a 5-2-1 clip in the past 8 games overall for the Stamps, while also going 5-2-1 in their past 8 on the road.

For the Ti-Cats, the Under is 4-1 in the past 5 after a SU loss, and 4-1 in the past 5 after an ATS loss, too.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Toronto Argonauts odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Toronto Argonauts Week 16 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-7) and the Toronto Argonauts (11-1) meet Saturday for a Week 16 matchup at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (TSN+/CFL+). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Tiger-Cats vs. Argonauts odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Tiger-Cats got off to a brutal start, but they’ve been better lately, winning and covering 3 of the past 4 games overall. Of course, the lone loss during that stretch was a 41-28 home loss to Toronto in Week 13. The Over (51) cashed in that one, and it is 3-0 in the past 3 outings for the Ti-Cats.

The Argonauts have won 11 of 12 games this season, including a perfect 3-0 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) mark against Hamilton. Since a stunning Week 9 loss at Calgary, Toronto has won 5 straight while going a respectable 3-2 ATS.

The Under is 2-1 in the 3 previous matchups between these provincial rivals, with the Over cashing in Toronto’s 41-28 win on Sept. 4 in the most recent meeting.

With last week’s 23-20 win in Montreal, the Argos clinched the East Division.

Tiger-Cats at Argonauts picks and predictions

Prediction

Argonauts 26, Tiger-Cats 19

Moneyline

Toronto (-450) will cost you 4 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s just too much risk for not enough reward.

One has to wonder about Toronto’s motivation after wrapping up the East Division title. Ouellette, the team’s leading rusher, will be rested, and Phillips, the team’s 2nd leading receiver, is out with a groin issue. The Argos also have their 2nd best rusher, Harris, out with a knee ailment.

PASS.

Against the spread

HAMILTON +9.5 (-115) has rallied. The team was a mess in the 2 games following the injury to Mitchell, but the Ti-Cats have won 3 of the past 4 games, while also going 3-1 ATS. The Tiger-Cats catch Toronto the week after clinching, and that’s a good spot.

Will Hamilton scoot up the highway and steal a win in T-Dot? I’m not feeling that. However, it should be able to keep this game within single digits for its first cover of the season against Toronto, a team which is part banged up, and part cautious.

Over/Under

UNDER 49.5 (-110) is a strong play. I don’t like the fact the Argos are going to be without Ouellette and Harris, the top 2 backs. Yes, that could mean QB Chad Kelly is slinging it early and often, but I think the Toronto offense might be slightly disjointed in this post-clinch home game.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Hamilton Tiger-Cats Week 15 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (10-3) and Hamilton Tiger-Cats (5-7) meet Saturday at Tim Hortons Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (CFL+/TSN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Blue Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Blue Bombers covered the spread as 8.5-point home favorites with a 51-6 win vs. the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the Over (48) cashed last Saturday. QB Zach Collaros finished 18-of-21 passing for 319 yards with 5 TDs. Winnipeg is 6-1 straight up in its last 7 games but just 3-4 against the spread (ATS).

The Tiger-Cats covered as 3-point underdogs in a 27-24 win at the Ottawa Redblacks as the Over (46.5) hit Sept. 8. QB Taylor Powell threw for 326 yards and 3 TDs.

The Blue Bombers covered as 4.5-point home favorites with a 42-31 win as the Over (46.5) cashed June 9 in their 1st meeting this season.

Blue Bombers at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

Blue Bombers 32, Tiger-Cats 24

Moneyline

The Blue Bombers (-275) should win for the 7th time in their last 8 games, but there’s no need to pay the higher price on the moneyline when Winnipeg should win by margin.

PASS. Lay the points and/or bet the total instead.

Against the spread

The Tiger-Cats have not covered in back-to-back outings since their 2-game win streak from Week 5-6. Hamilton is 0-4 ATS in its last 4 home games, and Powell has struggled to string together good performances.

Collaros leads the league with 27 TDs and should have no trouble running up the score vs. this underperforming Tiger-Cats team.

BET BLUE BOMBERS -6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Over is 5-1 in Winnipeg’s last 6 outings and has hit in back-to-back Tiger-Cats games.

The Over has hit in 3 of the last 4 meetings between these teams, and I expect this game to look very similar to the last time they played June 9.

Hamilton has lost 3 of its last 4 games and is coming off a 41-28 home loss to the Toronto Argonauts, failing to cover as an 8-point underdog. The Over (51) cashed in the loss, snapping a 5-game run to the Under.

Tiger-Cats at Redblacks picks and predictions

Prediction

Tiger-Cats 27, Redblacks 17

Moneyline

The Redblacks are surprising favorites despite losing 5 straight games and allowing 31.3 points per game over their last 4 outings.

Hamilton won the first matchup of the season 16-12 in Ottawa on July 28. Ottawa’s losing skid actually started with that loss.

The Tiger-Cats have allowed 13 or fewer points in 3 of their 4 wins on the year.

BET TIGER-CATS (+175).

Against the spread

Both teams are 4-6 ATS on the season.

The Redblacks have covered the spread only once this season in a loss.

The Tiger-Cats have covered the spread in all their wins and failed to do so in their losses.

If you like Hamilton to cover, you should like them to win outright, which makes the plus-money odds on the moneyline super intriguing.

PASS.

Toronto Argonauts at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Toronto Argonauts at Hamilton Tiger-Cats Week 13 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Toronto Argonauts (8-1) and Hamilton Tiger-Cats (4-6) meet Monday at Tim Hortons Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network/TSN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

The Argonauts failed to cover the spread as 10-point home favorites in a 39-31 win vs. the Calgary Stampeders last time out on Aug. 25. Toronto is 7-2 against the spread (ATS) this season and has cashed the Over in 5 of its 9 games.

The Tiger-Cats covered as 10.5-point underdogs in a 30-13 win at the BC Lions last time out on Aug. 26. Tiger-Cats RB James Butler III finished with 118 yards and 2 TDs vs. his former team. Hamilton is 4-6 ATS this year only covering in its straight-up wins and has cashed the Under 7 times.

The Argonauts are 2-0 straight up and ATS this season vs. the Tiger-Cats, with the Under hitting in both meetings.

Argonauts at Tiger-Cats odds

Provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 6:51 a.m. ET.

  • Moneyline (ML): Argonauts -350 (bet $350 to win $100) | Tiger-Cats +280 (bet $100 to win $280)
  • Against the spread (ATS): Argonauts -7.5 (-110) | Tiger-Cats +7.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 50 (O: -110 | U: -110)

  • DB Josh Hagerty (shoulder) out
  • John Haggerty (knee) questionable
  • WR Cam Phillips (knee) questionable

Argonauts at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

Argonauts 31, Tiger-Cats 16

Moneyline

The Argonauts (-350) should beat the Tiger-Cats for a 5th straight time, but there’s no need to pay the higher price on the moneyline when Toronto should again win by margin.

PASS. Lay the points and/or bet the total instead.

Against the spread

The Argonauts have covered in the last 4 meetings vs. the Tiger-Cats and have not gone 0-2 ATS over a 2-week period since Week 2-3 in 2022.

The Tiger-Cats may be due for a letdown game after pulling off an unlikely upset vs. Butler’s former team as 10.5-point underdogs. Hamilton has won 9 of the last 11 Labour Day Classics vs. Toronto, but I don’t believe that should hold any weight since Argonauts QB Chad Kelly didn’t start in any of those meetings.

BET ARGONAUTS -7.5 (-110).

FOOTBALL NEVER STOPS
Live games, analysis and more 7 days a week: Get ESPN+

Over/Under

The Under has hit in 5 straight Tiger-Cats games, and Hamilton has only scored 22 or more points 3 times this season.

Toronto has allowed 31 points in back-to-back games but should tighten up defensively vs. a provincial rival on Labour Day.

BET UNDER 50 (-110).

Hamilton lost for the 2nd straight game and for the 3rd time in 4 contests as it was toppled 24-10 by the previously winless Edmonton Elks. The Tiger-Cats failed to cover as 5.5-point favorites while the Under (44.5) cashed.

Tiger-Cats at Lions picks and predictions

Prediction

Lions 26, Tiger-Cats 13

Moneyline

The Tiger-Cats have failed to score more than 16 points in 4 consecutive games.

The Lions have allowed 45, 50 and 34 points in their 3 losses but have allowed a total of 58 in their 7 wins.

The Lions (-500) should make short work of Hamilton but the moneyline is not worth a wager unless you include it in some parlay bet.

PASS.

Against the spread

Five of the Lions’ 7 wins have been by more than 10 points. The other 2 wins were by exactly 10 points.

Every single one of Hamilton’s 6 losses has been by at least 11 points.

The Lions are 6-3-1 ATS on the season while the Tiger-Cats are 3-7 ATS.

Edmonton Elks at Hamilton Tiger-Cats odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Edmonton Elks at Hamilton Tiger-Cats Week 11 odds and lines, with expert CFL picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Edmonton Elks (0-9) visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-5) Thursday to kick off Week 11 CFL action. Kickoff from Tim Hortons Field is at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Elks vs. Tiger-Cats odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.

While the Elks remain winless, they have covered the spread in 3 of their last 5 games. That includes covering as 13-point underdogs in a 38-29 home loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last Thursday.

The Tiger-Cats enter off a 27-14 home loss to the Montreal Alouettes on Aug. 10, failing to cover as 3-point underdogs. Hamilton has lost 2 of its last 3 games. The Ti-Cats beat the Elks 37-29 on the road in Week 6 as 1-point underdogs as the Over (42.5) cashed.

Elks at Tiger-Cats odds

Odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:10 a.m. ET.

Elks at Tiger-Cats picks and predictions

Prediction

Tiger-Cats 36, Elks 27

Moneyline

The Elks (+175) are not a good pick to get their first win. Hamilton (-220) has lost 2 of its last 3 games but it at least has 3 wins this season, including one over Edmonton on the road.

The easy pick is to go with the Tiger-Cats but having to wager more than twice what your return is not a great strategy for a single regular-season game.

PASS.

Against the spread

The Elks are 3-6 ATS overall. They have covered the spread in 2 of their last 3 and 3 of their last 5 games. However, only 2 of their 9 losses are by fewer than 6 points.

The Tiger-Cats have covered the spread in all 3 of their wins but are 0-2 ATS as straight-up favorites. However, Hamilton beat Edmonton by 8 points in Week 6.

BET TIGER-CATS -5.5 (-110).

FOOTBALL NEVER STOPS
Live games, analysis and more 7 days a week: Get ESPN+

Over/Under

These times piled up 66 points when they met in Week 6, blowing past the 42.5-point projection.

The Tiger-Cats’ last 2 games have not reached 45 total points but 5 of their previous 6 did. Their only win to have more than 44 total points was against the Elks.

Only 3 of the Elks’ 9 games have reached 45 total points but that includes 2 of their last 4. They have scored 29 or more 3 times but 14 or fewer points in the other 6.

The Tiger-Cats have allowed 27 or more points 7 times this season.

BET OVER 44.5 (-110).
