March Madness: Baylor vs. Duke odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Baylor vs. Duke odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 9 seed Baylor Bears (20-14) and the No. 1 seed Duke Blue Devils (32-3) meet Sunday at Lenovo Center in Raleigh for an NCAA Tournament East Region second-round game. Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 2:40 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Baylor vs. Duke odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Bears ousted No. 8 seed Mississippi State 75-72 in a Friday first-round tilt, winning as 1-point underdogs with the Under (148) cashing. Baylor hit 43.5% (27-for-62) from the field, including 25.0% (6-for-24) from behind the 3-point line. Freshman G Robert Wright III scored a game-high 19 points, while fellow frosh G VJ Edgecombe added 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, while grabbing 5 boards.

Baylor is on a 3-0 against-the-spread (ATS) run, which included covers in their 2 Big 12 Tournament games. It’s a stark contrast from how the Bears finished the regular season as they went 3-5 straight up (SU) and 0-6-2 ATS in their final 8 games.

The Blue Devils had very little trouble with 16th-seeded Mount St. Mary’s out of the MAAC Friday. Duke won 93-49, covering as a 32-point favorite with the Over (140.5) slightly coming through. The Blue Devils hit 50.0% (35-for-70) from the field, and 37.8% (14-for-37) from the 3-point line. G Tyrese Proctor was good for 19 points, including 6-of-8 from behind the arc.

Duke, No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, has won 12 in a row since a 77-71 loss at Clemson Feb. 8, and it is 9-2 ATS in the past 11 contests with the Over going 8-3. Duke has also won 5 in a row on neutral floors — with a 3-2 ATS showing.

Baylor vs. Duke picks and predictions

Prediction

Duke 77, Baylor 66

Moneyline

Backing Duke (-900), risking 9 times the potential return, is not a recommended betting strategy. A $100 wager returns just $11.11 of profit. That’s not worth playing straight up or part of a multi-leg wager.

PASS.

Against the spread

BAYLOR +12.5 (-115) is a solid play catching all of these points.

The Bears have the dynamic duo of Edgecombe and Wright, tremendous young building blocks. Are they ready to etch their names into Baylor lore with an upset of the No. 1 seed? It’s unlikely. But, Baylor certainly has the depth to make Duke work hard to advance to the Sweet 16. The Blue Devils are 1-1 SU/ATS against Big 12 teams this season.

Over/Under

UNDER 143.5 (-105) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.

The Over cashed in the Blue Devils’ game against Mount St. Mary’s, but the Under is 2-1 in their past 3 games, and 3-2 in the previous 5 outings.

The Bears will try to slow the tempo to a crawl. The Under is 6-1 in their past 7. They limited the opposition to 72 or fewer points in 6 of those 7 outings.

March Madness: Baylor vs. Mississippi State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Baylor vs. Mississippi State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 9 seed Baylor Bears (19-14) and the No. 8 seed Mississippi State Bulldogs (21-12) meet Friday at Lenovo Center in Raleigh for an NCAA Tournament East Region first-round game. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Baylor vs. Mississippi State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Bears were dispatched 76-74 by Texas Tech in the Big 12 quarterfinals March 13 despite F Norchad Omier going off for 29 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocked shots on 12-of-18 shooting.

Baylor also covered as a 6.5-point underdog, going 2-0 against the spread (ATS) in the Big 12 tourney after finishing the regular season 5-7 straight up (SU) in the final 12 outings, while going 0-6-2 ATS in the last 8 games. The Under is 5-1 in the past 6 contests for Baylor.

On a neutral floor, Baylor is 3-2 SU/ATS with the Under holding a 3-2 edge in 5 tries this season. Baylor went 1-1 SU/ATS against the SEC this season, cashing the Under in both outings.

Mississippi State was excused from the SEC Tournament in the second round by Missouri, falling 85-73 March 13 despite 24 points from G Josh Hubbard. The Bulldogs are just 2-5 SU in the past 7 games, going 3-4 ATS. The Over is 6-1 across the past 7 outings.

On a neutral floor, the Bulldogs are 5-2 SU in 7 games this season, but just 3-4 ATS. The Under has a slight 4-3 edge in those games.

Mississippi State faced just one Big 12 team in 2024-25, beating Utah 78-73 Nov. 17 in a neutral floor outing in Southaven, Mississippi, home of the Memphis Hustle of the G League. It failed to cover as a 7.5-point favorite, though, as the Over (148) cashed.

Baylor vs. Mississippi State picks and predictions

Prediction

Baylor 73, Mississippi State 69

Moneyline

BAYLOR (-102) is worth a look in this first-round game, which is essentially a toss-up.

The Bears were a little more impressive down the stretch, recording wins over TCU on the road, as well as against bubble team West Virginia. It played Texas Tech tough in the Big 12 title game in a loss by just a single possession, too.

Mississippi State (-118) showed it can be dangerous on any given night, routing a good Texas A&M team 70-54 as recently as Feb. 18, but it also showed it can be extremely erratic, following that up with a 111-73 blowout loss at Alabama Feb. 25.

Against the spread

Baylor +1.5 (-115) makes no sense. There is never a reason to take the points and pay more. Whenever a slight underdog is catching such a little spread, just back it SU.

PASS.

Over/Under

UNDER 144.5 (-110) is the lean, but tread lightly.

The Under dominated for Baylor down the stretch, going 5-1 in the past 6 outings. Baylor allowed 65 or fewer points in the final 3 regular-season games and in 4 of the past 5 outings.

However, Mississippi State was a sieve defensively, allowing 85 or more points in 5 of the past 7 games, with the Over going 6-1. Running up and down the court isn’t really Baylor’s game, though, so we should expect a lower-scoring contest.

Baylor vs. Texas Tech odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Baylor vs. Texas Tech odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The seventh-seeded Baylor Bears (19-13) take on the second-seeded Texas Tech Red Raiders (24-7) in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament Thursday. Tip-off from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, is set for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN/ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Baylor vs. Texas Tech odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Baylor beat Kansas State 70-56 as a 6-point favorite in the second round Wednesday. F VJ Edgecombe had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and G Jayden Nunn scored 18 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the 3-point line. The Bears have won 3 of their last 4 games.

The Red Raiders, who are No. 9 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, earned a bye in the tournament as the 2 seed and have not played since closing out the regular season with an 85-57 win at Arizona State Saturday as 12.5-point favorites. F JT Toppin had 25 points and 11 rebounds for Texas Tech, which wrapped up its regular season with a third straight win.

Texas Tech beat Baylor 73-59 as a 7.5-point home favorite Feb. 4 in their only regular-season meeting.

Baylor vs. Texas Tech picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas Tech 74, Baylor 65

Moneyline

The Red Raiders come in rested. Toppin is averaging 24.4 points over the last 9 games and has scored at least 20 in 4 of the last 5 outings, including 3 straight. They averaged 84.7 points in their final 3 wins.

Baylor averaged 67.8 points over its last 9 games and did not reach 75 points in any game during that stretch. While the Bears have not allowed more than 76 points in their last 11 games, Texas Tech’s offense will be too much for them Thursday.

However, -295 odds aren’t good enough to bet the moneyline.

PASS.

Against the spread

Texas Tech beat Baylor by 14 in February.

Baylor has not covered the spread in a loss this season.

Nine of Texas Tech’s last 12 wins have been by more than 6 points.

BET TEXAS TECH -6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Their only meeting this season had a total of 132 points.

Five of the Red Raiders’ last 7 games saw the Under cash. Six of Baylor’s last 7 have seen the Under cash. Only 1 of those games surpassed 141 total points scored.

BET UNDER 141.5 (-115).

Houston at Baylor odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Houston at Baylor odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Baylor Bears (18-12, 10-9 Big 12) welcome the No. 3 Houston Cougars (26-4, 18-1) to Foster Pavilion in Waco, Texas, Saturday night. Tip is set for 10 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Houston vs. Baylor odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Houston, which is No. 3 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, enters on a 9-game win streak. It beat the Kansas Jayhawks 65-59 at home Monday, failing to cover as a 9.5-point favorite. The Cougars are just 1-3 against the spread (ATS) in their last 4 yet 4-3 ATS in their last 7 contests. Houston is 16-14 ATS on the season.

The Bears are riding a 2-game win streak into their final game of the regular season, beating the TCU Horned Frogs 61-58 on the road Tuesday night. They failed to cover as a 4-point favorite and are just 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 games. Baylor is 9-18-2 ATS on the season and lost 76-65 to the Cougars on the road Feb. 10.

Houston at Baylor picks and predictions

Prediction

Houston 68, Baylor 61

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no playable moneyline wager here. The Cougars have been rolling, yet they are far too expensive to take to win outright. Avoid pulling for the upset by Baylor as well.

Against the spread

BET HOUSTON -4.5 (-115).

Baylor is one of 2 teams in the country (VCU being the other at 0-2 ATS) that has yet to cover as an underdog. The Bears are 0-7-2 ATS. They have lost outright as a favorite in 2 of their last 5. Things aren’t going well for Baylor, and against a top-5 team like Houston, it should struggle.

The Cougars have covered in 3 of their last 4 games as a single-digit favorite, and they have covered in 3 straight contests on the road. They have allowed 59 or fewer in 3 of their last 6, so they should defend well enough to pull away by this margin.

Take HOUSTON -4.5 (-115).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 130.5 (-105).

The Bears have gone Under in 3 straight games and have defended at a high level in recent competitions. They have held opponents to 61 or fewer in 2 straight. Baylor’s offense hasn’t been overly impressive either, scoring 74 or fewer in 7 straight games against far weaker defenses.

The Cougars, who have scored 70 or fewer in 3 of their last 4, have gone Under in 4 of their last 6. Houston is 14-16 O/U on the season and has allowed 61 or fewer in 3 of its last 4.

Considering those defensive trends, back UNDER 130.5 (-105).

Baylor at Texas Tech odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Baylor at Texas Tech odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Baylor Bears (14-7, 6-4 Big 12) visit the No. 12 Texas Tech Red Raiders (17-4, 8-2) Tuesday. Tip-off from United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock is set for 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Baylor vs. Texas Tech odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Baylor beat the No. 17 Kansas Jayhawks 81-70 Saturday for its third win in the last 4 games. The Bears covered as 2-point home favorites as the Over (140) hit. G Robert Wright III scored 24 points and F Norchad Omier dominated with a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Texas Tech made it 6 straight wins in wild fashion Saturday, edging the No. 5 Houston Cougars 82-81 in OT. G Chance McMillian scored 23 points, sealing it with 2 clutch free throws in the final 16 seconds. The Red Raiders pulled off the upset as 9.5-point road ‘dogs as the Over (127) cruised. F Darrion Williams did a bit of everything with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks.

Baylor at Texas Tech picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas Tech 78, Baylor 68

Moneyline

PASS.

I’ve got the Red Raiders (-325) winning and covering at home on Tuesday night, so I’ll take my wager to the spread and a better value.

Against the spread

BET TEXAS TECH -8.5 (-110).

Two of the Big 12’s hottest teams square off Tuesday, but the edge goes to the home team. Baylor has struggled on the road, sitting at just 2-5 away from Waco and dropping 2 of its last 3 road games. Texas Tech, on the other hand, has made Lubbock a nightmare for opponents. The Red Raiders’ last home loss was a 1-point heartbreaker to the Iowa State Cyclones, and they’ve won 8 of their last 9 games, including 3 of their last 4 at home.

Texas Tech gets it done on both ends, averaging over 80 points per game (PPG) while locking opponents down to just 65.4 PPG. They’ve cranked up the defense even more at home, holding teams to 55 PPG over their last 3 in Lubbock.

History is on their side, too. The Red Raiders won and covered the last time Baylor came to town on March 9, 2024.

Adding even more fuel, leading scorer F JT Toppin (15.3 PG) got ejected just 4 minutes into Saturday’s game against Houston on a controversial call. Expect him to be fired up and looking to make a statement.

Texas Tech has all the momentum and the home-court advantage. Take TEXAS TECH -8.5  (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 140.5 (-110).

The Over has hit in 4 of the last 5 meetings between these teams, and Baylor has gone Over in 4 of its last 6 contests. Texas Tech sits at 5-5 on the Over in its last 10, but that’s more about its tough defense. They can still get into shootouts—just look at Saturday’s game against Houston. With both teams putting up 80-plus PPG, this number isn’t too much to clear. Roll with the Over.

Kansas at Baylor odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Kansas at Baylor odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Baylor Bears (13-7, 5-4 Big 12) welcome the Kansas Jayhawks (15-5, 6-3) to Foster Pavilion Saturday. Tip is set for 4 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Kansas vs. Baylor odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Kansas, which is No. 11 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, enters having taken down the UCF Knights 91-87 Tuesday, closing as a 12.5-point home favorite. The Jayhawks have won 3 of their last 4 and 6 of their last 8, covering in 4 of those. They have performed well offensively as of late, scoring at least 84 in 3 of their last 4 games.

The Bears lost to the BYU Cougars 93-89 in overtime Tuesday, pushing as a 4-point road underdog. They snapped a 2-game winning streak with the loss and have come up short in 3 of their last 5 games. Baylor has struggled to cover consistently and is just 1-4-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 6 and 7-11-1 ATS on the season.

Kansas at Baylor picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas 72, Baylor 69

Moneyline

BET KANSAS (+115).

The Jayhawks, especially considering the size of the spread, are better played on the moneyline. They have won 3 of their last 4 road games and are 5-3 straight up either on a neutral court or on the road. Kansas is 6-3 in Big 12 action with only 1 of those losses coming to an unranked side.

Baylor has just been too inconsistent to take here. It has come up short in 4 of its last 8. The Bears don’t have a signature win and have losses to ranked teams like Iowa State, UConn, and Tennessee. Considering those weaknesses against top-25 sides for the Bears, take KANSAS (+115).

Against the spread

PASS.

This game should be close, and the Jayhawks are better served as a moneyline underdog instead of a slight underdog on the spread. With the predicted outcome, the moneyline is the preferred play.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 141.5 (-115).

Neither team has consistently gone Over in Big 12 action. Kansas is just 3-6 O/U in conference play and 4-16 O/U on the season. It has allowed 62 or fewer in 5 of 9 Big 12 games.

The Bears’ defense has been just as solid, allowing 62 or fewer in 2 of their last 3. They are just 3-6 O/U in their last 9 and are 1-3 O/U at home in that span.

Play UNDER 141.5 (-115).

TCU at Baylor odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s TCU Horned Frogs at Baylor Bears odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The TCU Horned Frogs (9-7, 2-3 Big 12) meet the No. 24 Baylor Bears (11-5, 3-2) Saturday. Tip-off from Foster Pavilion in Waco, Texas, is set for 5 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the TCU vs. Baylor odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

TCU lost 73-65 to the Utah Utes on Wednesday, failing to cover as 4-point home favorites as the Under 144 hit. The Horned Frogs struggled with free throws, making just 10 of 21 attempts. G Vasean Allette had a solid game, putting up 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal.

Baylor lost 81-70 to the Arizona Wildcats Tuesday, not covering as 5.5-point road underdogs as the Over 148.5 cashed. G Robert Wright III led the way with 16 points and 4 assists. But 13 turnovers were too much to overcome, as the Wildcats scored 22 points off those mistakes.

TCU at Baylor picks and predictions

Prediction

Baylor 73, TCU 58

Moneyline

PASS.

Baylor (-800) should get a much needed victory on Sunday afternoon against a weak TCU squad, which is why I’ll take my wager to the spread.

Against the spread

BET BAYLOR -12.5 (-110).

Baylor’s been through a tough stretch, taking on Arizona, the Arizona State Sun Devils, Cincinnati Bearcats, Iowa State Cyclones, and Utah in their last 5 games. No wonder they’ve failed to cover in 3 of their last 4 games.

Now, they’re back home against TCU, a team they should handle without much trouble. Baylor scores 13 more points per game than TCU, which ranks last in the Big 12 in scoring (67.9 PPG). Plus, the Bears lead the conference in offensive rebounds (13.7 per game), giving them plenty of second-chance opportunities.

TCU hasn’t won a road game this season, while Baylor is a perfect at Foster Pavilion (8-0), covering their last 2 at home.

This matchup is exactly what Baylor needs to get back on track. Look for the Bears to take care of business and cruise to an easy win on Sunday.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 136.5 (-115).

Taking the Under with a low number like this feels risky, but the trends point that way. The Under has hit in 5 of the last 7 meetings between these teams. TCU has gone Under in 6 of their last 7 games, and Baylor in 4 of their last 5 outings. With TCU’s offense struggling and Baylor’s defense likely making it tough, the Under looks solid.

Baylor at Arizona odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Baylor at Arizona odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 24 Baylor Bears (11-4, 3-1 Big 12) and the Arizona Wildcats (10-5, 4-0) meet Tuesday at the McKale Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 11 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Baylor vs. Arizona odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Baylor picked up a 72-66 OT win at Arizona State in the front end of the road trip Saturday, but it failed to cover as a 7-point favorite. The Bears have won 6 of the past 7 games to return to the rankings, but Baylor is still just 3-7 against the spread (ATS) in the past 10 outings. The Under has cashed in 4 straight contests.

Arizona won its sixth straight game 88-80 against UCF Saturday, but it failed to cover as a 17-point favorite. The Wildcats have covered 4 of the past 6 games, while the Under has connected in 5 of the past 7 outings. The offense has rolled up 88 or more points in 4 of the past 6 contests, too.

Baylor at Arizona picks and predictions

Prediction

Arizona 76, Baylor 69

Moneyline

Arizona (-250) will cost you 2½ times your potential return, and that’s just a little too expensive for a standalone wager. It’s not a bad play to include the Wildcats in a multi-leg play, but this is a game which could really go either way against a ranked opponent in the first-ever meeting between these teams as conference foes.

AVOID.

Against the spread

ARIZONA -5.5 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at best.

Baylor +5.5 has been playing very good basketball lately, winning 6 of the past 7 games. However, the Bears are an ordinary 3-3 ATS in the past 6 games, and Baylor is 0-4 ATS in the past 4 outings as an underdog.

The Wildcats have managed to cover 4 of the past 6 games, but there is risk. Arizona has failed to cover the past 2 home games inside the conference.

Over/Under

UNDER 149.5 (-115) is a decent play in this intriguing Big 12 clash in the desert.

The Under has connected in 4 in a row for the Bears, while the Under is on a 5-2 run for the Wildcats.

Both of these defenses have been playing good basketball, and going low is your best bet.

Baylor at Iowa State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Baylor at Iowa State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 3 Iowa State Cyclones (11-1, 1-0 Big 12) welcome the No. 21 Baylor Bears (9-3, 1-0) to Hilton Coliseum Saturday. Tip-off in the prime-time Big 12 clash is set for 2 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Baylor vs. Iowa State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Iowa State, which is No. 3 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, enters on an 8-game win streak. It beat the Colorado Buffaloes 76-69 Monday, closing as 9-point road favorites. The Cyclones have covered 5 of their last 7 games and are 6-6 against the spread (ATS) on the season. Their only loss was a 2-point defeat to the No. 2 Auburn Tigers Nov. 25.

The Bears, sitting at No. 21 in the poll, beat the Utah Utes 81-56 Tuesday, closing as 11-point home favorites. They have rattled off 4 straight wins, going 2-1 ATS (one game was off the board). Baylor’s 3 losses have all come against top-20 teams. It is 0-2 straight up (SU) on the road.

Baylor at Iowa State picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa State 82, Baylor 72

Moneyline

PASS.

The Cyclones have dominated this season and have a few solid wins over Marquette and Dayton. They should be able to come out on top at home, but are far too expensive to take to win outright.

Against the spread

BET IOWA STATE -8.5 (-110).

Simply put, the Bears have struggled to reward bettors against good teams. They are 0-3 SU/ATS against top-20 sides. Baylor is 1-4 ATS away from home this season.

The Cyclones covered in their only home game as favorites of 10 or fewer points this season — an 81-70 win over Marquette Dec. 4 as a -5.5. They are 4-1 ATS in games with a single-digit spread. Back IOWA STATE -8.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 152.5 (-110).

The Cyclones are 7-5 O/U on the season and 4-1 O/U in their last 5 games.

The Bears, who have scored at least 81 points in 4 straight games, are 4-1 O/U in their last 5 that were on the board. Baylor is 8-3 O/U on the season. Play OVER 152.5 (-110).

Texas Bowl: Baylor vs. LSU odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Baylor vs. LSU Texas Bowl odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

Among the New Year’s Eve bowls on Tuesday is the Texas Bowl, featuring the Baylor Bears (8-4) of the Big 12 and the LSU Tigers (8-4) of the SEC. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET from NRG Stadium in Houston (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Baylor vs. LSU odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Baylor went 6-3 in conference play but won their final 6 games, closing out the regular season Nov. 30 with a 45-17 home win over the Kansas Jayhawks as 2.5-point underdogs. The Bears averaged 41.3 points per game in their winning streak, scoring 37-plus points 5 times.

LSU went 5-3 in conference play and closed the regular season with 2 consecutive wins after a 3-game losing streak, finishing with a 37-17 home win over the Oklahoma Sooners, covering the 6-point spread as favorites.

  • Against the spread (ATS): Baylor -3.5 (-110) | LSU +3.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 61.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4132″ ]

Baylor vs. LSU picks and predictions

Prediction

Baylor 42, LSU 35

Moneyline

No significant offensive player on either team is opting out. LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier is questionable to play with an injury.

The way Baylor ended the season with 6 consecutive wins and lot of points, it is hard not to see that continuing. LSU allowed over 30 points twice in its last 5 games.

But -165 odds aren’t a good value to bet, so go with the spread.

PASS.

Against the spread

Baylor covered the spread in every win this season and was 6-1 ATS as the favorite. LSU’s 4 losses were all by at least a TD.

BET BAYLOR -3.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Eight of Baylor’s last 9 games have over 60 total points while LSU only had 3 such games.

BET OVER 61.5 (-110).
