Photos: Steph and Ayesha Curry make appearance at 2021 Met Gala

Steph and Ayesha Curry made an appearance at the 2021 edition of the star-studded Met Gala event in New York.

Each year, the annual Met Gala attracts a star-studded list of celebrities, fashion icons and athletes from around the globe. The popular event serves as a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

In the 2021 edition of the event, one of the Golden State Warriors power couples made an appearance at the gala in New York City.

Shining in high fashion, Steph and Ayesha Curry had cameras fluttering as they arrived at the event. Ayesha glimmered in a bedazzled gold dress that caught the attention of photographers at the gala.

Steph wore an all-black suit with gold accents. Along the side of his sleeve, his Golden State Warriors No. 30 was etched into his suit.

Steph and Ayesha Curry appear at DNC to endorse Joe Biden in the 2020 election

Steph and Ayesha Curry appeared in a virtual video at the 2020 Democratic National Convention to endorse Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Stephen Curry had a busy Thursday.

After serving as the Golden State Warriors representative at the NBA Draft Lottery, Curry joined his wife Ayesha to make an appearance during the final night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

In a pretaped video surrounded by their family, Steph and Ayesha endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the 2020 election. Ayesha opened the video stating, “We want to ensure that our kids live in a nation that is safe, happy, healthy and fair.” The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player followed saying, “we’re voting for Biden.”

Steph and Ayesha were then joined by their daughters Ryan and Riley for some questions about politics and the upcoming election.

After the Curry family’s video, the former Vice President chimed in on Twitter to thank Steph and Ayesha.

Curry responded to Biden’s thank you with praise for his formal acceptance speech at the DNC. The point guard called the speech “amazing.”

Curry joined fellow NBA All-Star LeBron James to endorse Biden. In an interview with Cari Champion and Jemele Hill, the Los Angeles Lakers forward said he would “for sure” support Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 election.

The Warriors star and his wife Ayesha agreed to match up to $50,000 in donations made through June 30 to the USF institute through their own “Eat, Learn, Play” foundation. “This has been the culimination of 400 years of injustices in a system that is not working for all people in this country,” Curry said. “It took a perfect storm of two pandemics at one time to grab everybody’s attention. We’re obviously dealing with COVID and its threat to our society, and that has opened up a conversation and an awareness level for all people. I hope the conversaton continues, and that this isn’t just a moment, but a movement and we find changeable actions where everyone can play their role and play their part.”
