Arizona at Oregon odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Arizona Wildcats at Oregon Ducks odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Arizona Wildcats (0-3) meet the No. 4 Oregon Ducks (3-0) Saturday in their Pac-12 conference opener at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Arizona vs. Oregon odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings according to the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

The Wildcats have been a disaster, losing narrowly against BYU in Las Vegas before getting routed by San Diego State 38-14 in Tucson, Ariz., Sept. 11. They hit rock bottom last week, however, falling to FCS Northern Arizona by a 21-19 count at home.

The Ducks struggled with Fresno State it the opener but quickly righted the ship for a monumental win at Ohio State Sept. 11. They didn’t take their foot off the gas, romping against FCS Stony Brook last week, 48-7.

Arizona at Oregon State odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 55, Arizona 13

Money line

Oregon (-5000) is going to absolutely pound Arizona (+1300), and it isn’t even going to be close.

This used to be a tremendous rivalry, with close, epic games, and it will be again one day. But that won’t be Saturday.

AVOID, though, as you cannot risk 50 times your potential return.

Against the spread

I like OREGON -29.5 (-110), and was pleasantly surprised that the spread for this game wasn’t in the mid-30’s, at the least. The Wildcats couldn’t move the ball on NAU last week, and there is no way they amass much of anything against Oregon.

The Ducks run game is legit, with CJ Verdell and Travis Dye each gobbling up 5.4 yards per attempt. On the flip side, the Wildcats are coughing up 193.3 rushing yards per outing. It’s gonna be ugly, folks!

Stream college football games on ESPN+ by signing up here.

Over/Under

The best play on the board is the OVER 58.5 (-110), and I believe Oregon has the chance to take care of it all on their own. Arizona could still score in single digits, and this one could be a winning ticket, that’s how lopsided I think this game will be. But we’ll count on some garbage-time scores from Arizona to get them to double digits.

San Diego State at Arizona odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s San Diego State at Arizona odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The San Diego State Aztecs (1-0) and Arizona Wildcats (0-1) meet Saturday at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the San Diego State at Arizona odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

The Aztecs of SDSU erased a 10-0 halftime adjustment last week against New Mexico State, outscoring the Aggies 28-0 in the second half for the win. They didn’t come close to covering the 31.5-point number, and the Under (51) comfortably connected.

The Wildcats of Arizona came up short, 24-16, against BYU at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. They were able to cash as 13.5-point underdogs as the Under (53.5) connected.

San Diego State at Arizona odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

San Diego State 26, Arizona 20

Money line

SAN DIEGO STATE (+102) is the play straight up. They looked absolutely awful last week in the first half against New Mexico State. However, the offense picked up the pace in the second half and should use that 28-0 run as a springboard into this week.

Arizona (-125) actually outgained BYU 426 to 368 in total yards, but they were sacked four times. The kicking game was also an adventure for the Wildcats missing two field goals.

While the Aztecs didn’t play a full 60 seconds, they looked a lot more complete in the second half.

Against the spread

SAN DIEGO STATE +1.5 (-110) is the play here, although I prefer the money line as a slightly better value. Unless you feel Arizona -1.5 (-110) is going to win by one point, look to the money line instead.

Stream college football games on ESPN+ by signing up here.

Over/Under

UNDER 46.5 (-108) is the lean in this one and worth a small-unit play.

The Under cashed for both of these teams in Week 1. San Diego State was blanked by New Mexico State of all teams, while Arizona managed just three points in the first 30 minutes.

Defense reigned supreme for both of these teams last week, and we should see another lower-scoring effort.

BYU vs. Arizona odds, expert picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s BYU vs. Arizona odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The BYU Cougars and Arizona Wildcats head to Las Vegas, Nev., to open their seasons Saturday in the Vegas Kickoff Classic at 10:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the BYU vs. Arizona odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

Arizona’s opener is the head coaching debut for Jedd Fisch, who served as the New England Patriots’ QB coach in 2020. Fisch has a full rebuild on his hands in Tucson, as Arizona’s 0-5 season ended with an embarrassing 70-7 loss to rival Arizona State in the Territorial Cup last year.

BYU went 11-1 behind a prolific offense that led the nation with 7.9 yards per play. The problem is that most of that production is gone, as QB Zach Wilson was the second overall pick in the NFL draft and the offensive line lost its top three starters. It must also replace three starting defensive linemen, including star DT Khyiris Tonga and leading tackler LB Isaiah Kaufusi.

BYU vs. Arizona odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

BYU 31, Arizona 17

Money line

Arizona enters this contest on a 12-game losing skid and the talent cupboard is bare for its new regime. BYU is the heavy favorite, but there’s not enough payout at -500 to bet on them straight up.

PASS and target the spread instead.

Against the spread

Not only has Arizona lost 12 straight, but they’ve failed to cover in 10 of those games. Despite some promising offseason moves by Fisch – most notably hiring defensive coordinator Don Brown from Michigan – this won’t be an overnight fix.

BYU will have plenty of fresh faces as well, but most of its skill position players return and the continuity on its coaching staff should minimize that early-season learning curve. Take BYU -12.5 (-110).

Over/Under

With a bunch of turnover for both teams, and in Arizona’s case an entirely new offensive scheme, expect the defenses to be farther along than each offense this early in the season. Bet the UNDER 53.5 (-107) as both teams work out the Week One kinks.

Arizona at Oregon odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Arizona Wildcats at Oregon Ducks odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Arizona Wildcats (17-8 overall, 11-8 Pac-12) visit the Oregon Ducks (16-5, 11-4) in a Monday evening contest at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore. Tip-off will be at 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Arizona-Oregon odds and lines, with NCAA college basketball picks and predictions.

Oregon was No. 23 in last week’s Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. The new poll will be released Monday afternoon.

Arizona at Oregon: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Arizona +180 (bet $100 to win $180) | Oregon -225 (bet $225 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Arizona +4.5 (-105) | Oregon -4.5 (-115)
  • Over/Under: 141.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Arizona at Oregon: Three things to know

  1. Arizona ranks second in the Pac-12 in scoring at 75.7 points per game. Oregon ranks third on defense with 66.4 PPG allowed. The Wildcats and Ducks met in Tucson, Ariz., Feb. 13, and Oregon defeated UA 63-61.
  2. Monday’s contest will serve as Arizona’s season finale unless the Wildcats are able to add a nonconference game late this week. The Wildcats will be serving a self-imposed one-year postseason ban.
  3. The Ducks are 7-1 since losing back-to-back games Jan. 23 and Feb.4. Over that stretch, Oregon has shot 37.4% from 3-point range and has been a plus-2.3 in the turnover margin.

Arizona at Oregon: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Oregon 72, Arizona 69

Money line (ML)

Arizona was solid in a couple of recent road tests at Colorado and USC. For the season, the Wildcats have been a solid road team, especially on offense.

UA is solid on the offensive glass, knocks down 3s at a solid rate, and is among the top teams in the nation in getting to the free-throw line where it shoots an above-average 72.8%.

Figure the Wildcats as at least a 40% proposition in this one. That makes ARIZONA +180 a generous price to leverage.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Ducks are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games as the favorites. The underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five games of this series.

Oregon plays a key game against UCLA Wednesday and could get caught looking forward to that test. Arizona has come together nicely to play out the end of its season in a good program-building fashion. BACK THE WILDCATS +4.5 (-105).

Over/Under (O/U)

Respect the total here with no lean either way.

PASS.

Arizona at UCLA odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Arizona Wildcats at UCLA Bruins odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Arizona Wildcats (14-7 overall, 8-7 Pac-12) visit the UCLA Bruins (14-5, 10-3) for a Thursday night (9 p.m. ET) contest at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. Below, we analyze the Arizona-UCLA college basketball odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Arizona at UCLA: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 11:35 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Arizona +115 (bet $100 to win $115) | UCLA -140 (bet $140 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Arizona +2.5 (-115) | UCLA -2.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 136.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Arizona at UCLA: Three things to know

  1. Shaky February losses at USC and Washington State have knocked UCLA out of the top-25. From an analytics standpoint, the Bruins haven’t really been at their best since mid-January. Thursday’s game marks just UCLA’s second contest at home since Jan. 16. The Bruins are 9-0 at Pauley Pavilion.
  2. UCLA defeated Arizona, 81-76, in Tucson, Ariz., on Jan. 9. The Wildcats are 0-4 straight-up and 0-4 against the spread over their last four games against the Bruins. Since 2013, UA is 2-5 ATS at UCLA.
  3. From an analytics standpoint, Arizona ranks second and sixth, respectively, in offensive and defensive efficiency among Pac-12 schools. The Wildcats are adept at creating and avoiding turnovers, and their overall rebounding ranks first in the conference. UA was out-rebounded in its last game, a 63-61 home loss to Oregon on Saturday. That marked the first time since Jan. 9 the Wildcats had been outdone on the boards.

Arizona at UCLA: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

UCLA 71, Arizona 70

Money line (ML)

Six-foot-10 F Jalen Hill (personal) is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game. Hill is UCLA’s fourth-leading rebounder, but he’s a bigger factor than his 5.5 rebounds per game when UCLA is at its best.

The Bruins’ last two home wins have not at all been impressive, and UCLA seems to be on the verge of being recognized as maybe more of a top-75 team than a top-25 one.

Look for the Wildcats to leverage rebounding as well as their inside game, outside shooting, and ability to get frequent throws at the charity stripe. BACK ARIZONA (+115).

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss. ARIZONA +2.5 (-115) is the play in this one, but weigh your appetite for this play based on how much you value a straight-up ML wager.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over is 4-1 in the Wildcats’ last five road games. Both teams can shoot the three, and both struggle in the perimeter defense department. Figure on enough triples and untimed singles (free throws) to get this game into the 140s.

TAKE THE OVER 136.5 (-115). And consider moving quickly to grab that number.

The USC Trojans (6-2 overall, 1-1 Pac-12) visit the Arizona Wildcats (9-1, 3-1) in a Thursday night conference clash at McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz. Tip-off is at 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the USC-Arizona college basketball betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

USC at Arizona: Betting odds, spread and lines

  • Against the spread/ATS: USC +4.5 (-110) | Arizona -4.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 137.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

USC at Arizona: Three things to know

  1. Southern California is 2-1 since enduring a 20-day, COVID-19-induced hiatus in December. USC is coming off a 64-46 win over Utah Saturday, a victory that saw the Trojans convert on 53.2% of their field-goal attempts. USC leads the Pac-12 in shooting accuracy, at 48.2%. The Trojans rank second in the circuit in 3-point accuracy (36.7%); they are inexplicably shooting just 60.5% (12th) from the free-throw line.
  2. A youthful Trojans rotation (five upperclassmen among top-10 in minutes) is led by seven-footer PF Evan Mobley. The freshman is averaging 15.0 PPG on the strength of a 58.7% mark from the field. Mobley is averaging 8.0 rebounds per contest. He’s the younger brother of sophomore Isaiah Mobley, who is averaging 8.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for USC.
  3. Arizona counters with an impressive freshman of its own in G Bennedict Mathurin, who is averaging 10.6 PPG and 4.9 RPG. The 6-foot-7 newcomer led the Wildcats in scoring in a weekend sweep of Washington and Washington State. He was selected as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, averaging 18.5 PPG and 8.5 RPG over those two contests.

USC at Arizona: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Arizona 71, USC 69

Money line (ML)

USC is a talented and tall team and it can get it done at both ends of the floor. The Trojans are playing their first true road game after two neutral-site games in early December. They lost by just five last year at Arizona (85-80, Feb. 6), and that was a less talented USC five in a rough stretch of its season.

In a vacuum, the lean is on Arizona in a close game but TAKE USC +170 as decent value with this ML tag.

Against the spread (ATS)

Southern Cal is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games, 4-1 ATS in its last five games vs. Arizona and 6-1 ATS in its last seven road games.

USC’s ability to defend near the bucket (and defend any shot period) is the difference-maker here. TAKE USC +4.5 (-110) … and consider the line as likely moving toward the Trojans side during the day.

Over/Under (O/U)

NO WIGGLE ROOM HERE — PASS. Expect a mid-tempo game with the winner of a close battle scoring 70 or 71 points.

  • Against the spread/ATS: Arizona State -12 (-110) | Arizona +12 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 56.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)

Arizona State at Arizona: Three things to know

  1. Arizona State has had a couple of one-score losses against the SoCal schools, falling 28-27 in a heartbreaker to USC Nov. 7, and 25-18 to UCLA in Tempe Dec. 5. The Sun Devils had a month off in between the two games due to COVID-19 issues, so it’s been difficult to gain momentum.
  2. Arizona has been able to squeeze in four games so far, but all of them losses, and each of the past three by at least 11 points. It’s no surprise that the Wildcats are 0-3 ATS in those three outings, falling by an average of 15.0 points per game. The Under is 3-1 in their four games, as they’re averaging just 20.0 PPG on offense.
  3. The Sun Devils are 1-6 ATS in their past seven appearances on a Friday, but more importantly, they’re 1-9 ATS in the past 10 as favorites. The Wildcats are 11-4 ATS in the past 15 on a Friday, but just 2-8 ATS in the past 10 as underdogs, so something’s gotta give here.

Arizona State at Arizona: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Arizona State 30, Arizona 20

Money line (ML)

Arizona State (-455) heads into this one as the more competitive of the winless teams in this Grand Canyon State battle. However, it’s difficult to risk four and a half times your potential return on a winless team. PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)

ARIZONA +12 (-110) has been pretty tough on the eyes so far this season, but this is a rivalry game and it should bring its best even with questions along the offensive line and an injury at the quarterback spot. The underdog has cashed in four straight in this series, and the home team is 6-1 ATS across the past seven meetings.

Wildcats QB Grant Gunnell (shoulder) is a question mark, so backup QB Will Plummer might get the nod. Regardless of who starts, WR Drew Dixon is done for the season due to personal reasons. In any event, Arizona is worth a small-unit play in what amounts to its bowl game this season.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 56.5 (-105) is the best play on the board in this rivalry matchup, as neither offensive side has been very crisp. If Gunnell is able to tough it out and return under center, that’s more of a threat to the Over than anything else as he has been quite effective. But even if he plays, this game should cash well Under.

Arizona at UCLA odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Arizona Wildcats at UCLA Bruins sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Arizona Wildcats (0-2) play the UCLA Bruins (1-2) Saturday in a Pac-12 showdown in the Rose Bowl at 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Arizona-UCLA college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Arizona at UCLA: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday at 2:55 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Arizona +300 (bet $100 to win $300) | UCLA -385 (bet $385 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Arizona +11 (-110) | UCLA -11 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 69.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Arizona at UCLA: Three things to know

  1. UCLA was beaten in a close one by Oregon last week, 38-35, and covered as an 18.5-point underdog despite playing without several key contributors because of COVID-19 complications. Junior QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson was one of the Bruins out last week and his status for this game is unknown.
  2. Arizona was utterly dominated last week in a 44-27 loss to Washington. The Wildcats were down 37-0 entering the fourth quarter, were out-gained 233-72 in rushing yards and had just 22:43 of possession.
  3. UCLA lost last year’s meeting with Arizona 20-17 and pushed as a 3-point underdog. It was a struggle for Thompson-Robinson who completed 17 of 33 passes for just 180 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

Arizona at UCLA: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

UCLA 41, Arizona 21

Money line (ML)

PASS ON THE MONEY LINE.

I haven’t seen enough out of this Arizona team to even have a little confidence in the Wildcats as underdogs and no way I am paying that kind of price for a UCLA outright win.

Against the spread (ATS)

This Chip Kelly thing is starting to come together at UCLA and the offense is settling into his system. The Bruins rank 21st in points per game, 27th in yards per game and 16th in 3rd down conversion percentage.

It’s not an overreaction to assume UCLA’s offense will have success when you look at this Arizona defense. The Wildcats sit at 117th in opponent’s points per game, 114th in opponent’s yards per game and 102nd in opponent’s 3rd down conversion percentage.

Sight unseen with Thompson-Robinson’s health status, I go against my better judgment and TAKE UCLA -11 (-110) for 1 unit as a home conference favorite.

Over/Under (O/U)

There are way too many points projected by BetMGM here and I’m on the UNDER 69.5 (-110) for 1 unit. No question UCLA should be able to put up points against Arizona but I don’t see the Wildcats offense having much success.

I figure UCLA will sustain drives with its ground game and that’ll eat up the clock. The Bruins are 17th in rushing yards per game while the Wildcats are 109th in opponent’s yards per rush.

Also, UCLA is due for some turnover luck as it has done a good job getting into the backfield—the Bruins have 27 tackles for a loss in 3 games—but are minus-7 in turnover differential and Arizona has zero takeaways.

GIMME UNDER 69.5 (-110).

Arizona at Washington odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Arizona Wildcats at Washington Huskies sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Arizona Wildcats (0-1, 0-1 Pac-12) and Washington Huskies (1-0, 1-0) meet in Seattle, for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday. Below, we analyze the Arizona-Washington college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Arizona at Washington: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 6:10 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Arizona +370 (bet $100 to win $370) | Washington -500 (bet $500 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Arizona +11.5 (-110) | Washington -11.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 52.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Arizona at Washington: Three things to know

  1. Arizona lost a tough one to USC in the opener last week, but there were plenty of bright spots. QB Grant Gunnell completed 24 of 36 passes while throwing for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns, while RB Gary Brightwell ran for 112 yards and WR Tayvian Cunningham racked up 110 yards and a score.
  2. Washington edged Oregon State 27-21 in its opener. Hopefully, you didn’t play the Over, as that was a bad beat for sure. There were 45 total points on the board at halftime, with a total of just 50.5. There was a ton of kicking woes in this game, and the second half saw just a lone field goal. Ouch.
  3. Washington has dominated this series in recent seasons, especially against the number. The Huskies are 4-0 ATS in their past four home games vs. the Wildcats, and 4-1 ATS in the past five meetings overall. The favorite is 6-2 ATS in the past eight meetings, and the home team is 8-2 ATS across the past 10 in the series.

Arizona at Washington: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Washington 30, Arizona 27

Money line (ML)

Washington (-500) will cost you five times your potential return. Over the long haul that’s just not a good wagering strategy, especially in a game that could be rather close. AVOID.

Against the spread (ATS)

ARIZONA +11.5 (-110) is a bet which goes against the recent series betting trends, but sometimes trends are made to be broken. You can’t bet on a trend continuing when, sometimes, it started with team members or even a coaching staff who aren’t even on the sidelines in the game to be played! It’s false security sometimes, so don’t put too much stock into some trends.

The Wildcats have an attractive, balanced offense that will hang with Washington as they hung with USC last weekend.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 52.5 (-110) is my favorite play on this board. While anyone who held a Washington Over ticket last week might be a little gun-shy, it’s the way to go; move on. The Huskies rolled up 24 first-half points, and allowed 21 in the first 30 minutes. They should be involved in some good old-fashioned “Pac-12 After Dark” shootouts this season, starting with this one right here.

The Arizona Wildcats will kick off their season Saturday against the USC Trojans (1-0). Kickoff is Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET at Arizona Stadium in Tucson. Below, we analyze the USC-Arizona college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

USC is 20th in the Amway Coaches Poll.

USC at Arizona: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 9:25 a.m. ET.

USC at Arizona: Three things to know

  • USC erased a 13-point deficit against Arizona State in the final five minutes of the game to win 28-27, despite four turnovers.

USC at Arizona: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

USC 41, Arizona 20

Money line (ML)

USC has offense. Arizona’s defense is developing, but the Wildcats are still building their team. They are not at all on the same level as the Trojans. Slovis will have no problem picking apart the secondary. There isn’t much money in it, so betting the money line won’t win you much, but it is a sure thing. If you want to bet the money line, take USC (-556), but you are better off betting the spread.

Against the spread (ATS)

USC narrowly got the win over Arizona State but failed to cover the spread. The Trojans have the advantage of being the better team and having played a game, while Arizona has not yet been able to get those first live snaps under its belt. This will be a blowout. Take USC -14 (-121).

Over/Under (O/U)

USC won’t have any problem scoring points, but it will keep Arizona from scoring enough to go Over the projected total. Take UNDER 67.5 (-110).
