Happy Prime Day, golf fans!

For shoppers around the world, July 12 and 13 are practically holidays.

That’s right, Amazon Prime Day now spans two days, giving all of you twice the chance to save on your favorite golf gear.

Golfweek has scoured the depth of the internet and compiled a list of some of the best golf items available on Prime Day.

We’ve got equipment, we’ve got apparel, we’ve got accessories, and we’ve got two more Prime Day lists coming out later today, so check back for more savings.

We occasionally recommend interesting products, services, and gaming opportunities. If you make a purchase by clicking one of the links, we may earn an affiliate fee. Golfweek operates independently, though, and this doesn’t influence our coverage.

Former 49ers CB Richard Sherman to join Amazon broadcast team

In a move that surprises nobody, former #49ers CB Richard Sherman is going to be an analyst. He’s joining Amazon’s TNF broadcast team.

Former 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman is headed to the broadcast booth. Amazon on Tuesday announced the future Hall of Famer will join their Thursday Night Football broadcast team as an analyst this season.

The jump to broadcasting for Sherman is not a surprise. He was excellent in media as a player, and started hosting a podcast toward the end of his playing career.

This announcement would appear to signal the end of Sherman’s playing career as well. He spent 11 seasons in the NFL with the Seahawks, 49ers and Buccaneers. In those 11 years he earned five Pro Bowl trips, three First-Team All-Pro nods and was named to the Hall of Fame 2010s All-Decade team.

Sherman will be on the pregame, halftime and postgame shows for Amazon Prime Video. He joins Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez, play-by-play announcer Al Michaels, and former ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit on the Thursday night team. The rest of the crew will be announced at a later date per Amazon’s release.

Tyler Lockett would love to try out broadcasting: ‘All I do is talk’

Of course, this isn’t stopping Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett from expressing interest in perhaps joining the booth one day.

The NFL landscape isn’t just going to look different this upcoming season, it is going to sound different as well. This offseason has seen many major names leave their long-established homes for seemingly greener pastures, and it’s not limited to the field.

Several major broadcasters are now with new networks despite years, even decades, with their previous ones. Specifically, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman both left FOX Sports to become the new voices of ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Filling their spots will be Greg Olsen and Kevin Burkhardt who are moving up from regional FOX broadcasts.

Meanwhile, NBC’s Al Michaels left Sunday Night Football, albeit not to retirement like many thought. Instead, he is now leading Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime with Kirk Herbstreit of ESPN.

Of course, this isn’t stopping Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett from expressing interest in perhaps joining the booth one day.

Lockett has shown he has many interests outside football, including focusing on mental health concerns and even becoming a realtor.

It is common for former players to move to analyst roles and networks are willing to pay a premium for new, young talent to the industry. With Lockett taking a more vocal leadership role in the absence of Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner, it does not seem too far fetched he might have his eyes set on more public roles once his playing days are complete.
