Ohio State vs. Clemson: How and where to watch and listen to the Sugar Bowl

Ohio State and Clemson are about ready to face off in the Sugar Bowl Friday evening. Here is how to find and watch the game.

It’s the rematch every Ohio State player, coach, and fan has been waiting for since last season ended unceremoniously at the hands of the Clemson Tigers. The Buckeyes will have their chance for redemption when they take the field on New Year’s Day to face the ACC champions.

Could this be the year that Ohio State breaks through the Clemson roadblock? No one seems to be giving the Buckeyes much of a chance in this one, but that is when the Bucks seem to play their best.

This should be a great game between two fairly evenly matched teams. If you weren’t one of the lucky 3,000 fans to secure a seat, here’s where you can find all the information you need to see and hear the Buckeyes play.

Ohio State vs. Clemson Sugar Bowl most expensive ticket in town

Be prepared to empty your wallet to see the Buckeyes live in New Orleans. With the limited amount of fans allowed at the game, it is pricey.

Ohio State and Clemson will face off in the All-State Sugar Bowl on Friday, January 1, 2021. With COVID restrictions severely limiting the number of fans in the stands, most will be watching from the luxury of their Lazy-Boy.

There are a few tickets available as the Sugar Bowl and the state of Louisana are allowing 3,000 fans to attend in person. However, if you want to attend in person, it’s going to cost you a pretty penny.

As of now, the cheapest ticket on StubHub is $408. Want a better seat? Be prepared to spend north of $4,000. That seems pricey, but for some Buckeye fans, it may be a price they’re willing to pay, especially considering that the Big Ten has not allowed fans to attend any games this season.

To contrast, a ticket to the Rose Bowl, which is being played in Dallas (2020 is so weird) between Alabama and Notre Dame cost $138 on the cheap end.

Ticket prices may continue to fall as we near game day. If you happen to be in the Big Easy for New Year’s Day consider stopping by. I’m sure the Buckeyes, who haven’t had fans in the stands all season, would love the support.

Clemson Offensive Coordinator out for Sugar Bowl with COVID concerns

Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott will not accompany Clemson to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl amid coronaviurs protocols.

We are just a day away from the highly anticipated rematch between Ohio State and Clemson, and the Tigers have been dealt a serious blow. Offensive Coordinator, Tony Elliott, will not accompany Clemson to the Sugar Bowl following COVID-19 protocols.

Elliott has been with Dabo and the Tigers since 2011 calling plays for the offense, so this could be a huge obstacle to overcome. Obviously, the players are the ones executing the plays, but at the same time, play calling can be crucial in key moments of the game.

Clemson quarterback coach, Brandon Streeter, is expected to take over the play-calling duties as he would be the one with the most experience with quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Head coach Dabo Swinney could also take over the offense if needed.

Most likely, Elliott was around for most of the game planning and practices, so it may not be a huge loss for the Tigers. However, when the moment calls for a quick adjustment is where the absence may be felt most.

Either way, the Buckeye defense will need to stay disciplined in how they attack and defend against Clemson’s offense to keep this game close.

Ohio State vs. Clemson College Football Playoff semifinal preview and prediction

Ohio State will take on Clemson in the Sugar Bowl semifinal of the College Football Playoff. Here is a preview and prediction for the game.

We’re finally here — the College Football Playoff! In a year that has ticked by at a snail’s pace, it’s hard to believe 2020 is almost over and the college football season that almost wasn’t is coming to an end.

At 6-0, Ohio State finds itself in familiar territory, back in the CFP for the fourth time and back-to-back appearances for the first time. The Buckeyes also know their foe well, matching up with the Clemson Tigers for the third- straight time in their playoff history.

The first two times on the dance floor with the Tigers didn’t go as planned, one a monumental embarrassment, the other an all-time classic, both ending with OSU on the wrong side of the scoreboard.

Most believe the Buckeyes have little to no shot at knocking off Clemson in the Sugar Bowl on January 1. But that’s why we play the games, and in a season as strange as 2020 has been… anything can happen.

Florida Gators quarterback Kyle Trask listed on Manning Award Watch List

Gators quarterback Kyle Trask continues to pick up the preseason accolades, as the redshirt senior was named to the Manning Award Watch List

Florida quarterback Kyle Trask continues to pick up the preseason accolades, as the redshirt senior was named to the Manning Award Watch List on Thursday, the Allstate Sugar Bowl announced.

The Manning Award is given annually to the top quarterback in the nation, but unlike other quarterback awards, it takes into account bowl performance in addition to regular season performance.

Trask was one of 12 finalists for the award last year after finishing with 25 touchdowns to seven interceptions and a 156.09 rating. He led one of the best passing offense at Florida this century and became the first UF passer to toss three or more touchdown passes in consecutive games.

He’s one of 30 players across the country named to the watch list, as well as one of three from the SEC, along with Auburn’s Bo Nix and Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond. The winner will be announced after the bowl season and will be voted on by a panel which includes national media members as well as every member of the Manning family.
