Who is Boston Celtics Las Vegas Summer League big man Alexander Balcerowski?

While it is not clear whether his game will translate at the NBA level, there is no better opportunity to test that theory than as part of the Sin City Celtics this summer.

The Boston Celtics have signed Alexander Balcerowski, a 7-foot-1 Polish big man, to their roster for the NBA’s 2023 Las Vegas Summer League roster set to head to Nevada in early July.

Balcerowski has been playing overseas since 2017 and averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds per game playing 22.7 minutes a contest for Gran Canaria last season in Spain’s Liga ACB. The Polish center is known for his positional strength and being in the right place on the floor to maximize his considerable size. And while it is not clear whether his game will translate at the NBA level, there is no better opportunity to test that theory than as part of the Sin City Celtics this summer.

What other aspects of his game you might want to be familiar with and getting a feel for his game were topics of recent discussion on the “How ‘Bout Them Celtics.”

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say about the potential of Balcerowski in Boston.

Breaking down the Boston Celtics’ roster for Las Vegas Summer League

Few if any of these players will make the Celtics’ regular roster, but there is a chance for several to make one of the team’s three two way slots for the 2023-24 season.

While there might be a few more additions to the Boston Celtics roster for the NBA’s 2023 Las Vegas Summer League, for all intents and purposes we have a pretty good idea of who will be the Sin City Celtics this offseason.

The Summer Celtics includes Alexander Balcerowski, Kamar Baldwin, Justin Bean, Justin Champagnie, JD Davison, Eugene German, Sam Griesel, Reggie Kissoonlal, Mychael Mulder, Jay Scrubb, Vincent Valerio-Bodon, and Jordan Walsh. As is the case with the league’s annual summer exhibition series, few if any of these players will make the Celtics’ regular roster, but there is a chance for several to make one of the team’s three two way slots for the 2023-24 season.

To learn more about each and their odds of donning green and white next season, check out the clip embedded below from the folks at the “How ‘Bout Them Celtics?” podcast.
