In today’s college football, recruiting is a 24/7, all year proposition for programs and its coaches. While many know about the early signing period, that occurs in December, the late signing period in February is still an important date to monitor.

New MSU head coach Jonathan Smith has made it known that he is always looking to improve his roster, and I expect him to take advantage of this late signing period to add more talent into the 2024 recruiting class.

Michigan State football is looking to flip a Baylor commit in the 2024 class.

The Spartans have extended a scholarship offer to three-star edge rusher Alex Foster, according to his X account. Foster is currently committed to Baylor.

Foster ranks as the No. 42 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2024 class. He’s also listed as the No. 728 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Michigan State is one of more than 15 schools to extend Foster an offer. Other notable programs to extend Foster an offer includes Texas, Kentucky, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi State and Baylor.

3-star defensive end includes Arkansas in his top six schools

Alex Foster, a 3-star defensive end from Mississippi, has Arkansas in his final six schools under consideration.

While everyone waited around Baum-Walker Stadium on Saturday evening wondering if any baseball would be played, another Arkansas target unveiled his top six schools on Twitter.

Alex Foster, a 3-star defensive end from Greenville, Miss., has the Razorbacks in his lineup along with Baylor, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville and Mississippi State.

Foster plays at St. Joseph High School and will officially visit Fayetteville the weekend of June 23-25th. He already visited in late May and was extremely impressed.

He had 58 tackles, 11 sacks, 9 pass breakups and 3 forced fumbles in 2022 as his team won the 4A state championship in Mississippi.
