Both teams raced up and down the field to the tune of 101 combined points and more than 1,100 yards of offense.

Despite 17 penalties, [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag] kept the Crimson Tide in the game with his spectacular play and magician-like ability in the pocket to give the Tide a chance to win it at the end, but place kicker Will Reichard’s kick sailed wide right.

On the ensuing possession, Hendon Hooker led the Vols down the field, setting up the game-winning 40-yard field goal as time expired.

Dallas Turner’s scoop and score gives Alabama a 49-42 lead in the fourth

Dallas Turner gives Alabama a fourth-quarter lead with a scoop and score.

I hope everyone took their blood pressure medication prior to the kickoff in Knoxville this afternoon. It has been an absolute offensive clinic between Alabama and Tennessee. But a defensive score in the fourth quarter has given the Crimson Tide a seven-point lead.

Dallas Turner scooped up the fumble from a zone read exchange for an 11-yard touchdown.

This is sure to be a nail-biter right down to the finish between Bryce Young and Hendon Hooker. The two quarterbacks have combined for over 700 passing yards and six touchdowns.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Alabama taking the late lead over the Vols.

LOOK: ‘Bama responds quickly with a 8-yard TD run by Jahmyr Gibbs

Twitter explodes as Jahmyr Gibbs ties things up in Knoxville.

After having tremendous field position on their opening drive, the Tennessee Volunteers quickly scored to go up on the Tide 7-0 early.

It didn’t take Bryce Young and the Alabama offense long to answer with a score of their own. Young would drop an absolute dime to freshman Isaiah Bond for a gain of 33. Then, on what looked like a throwaway attempt, Young found Kobe Prentice for a gain of eight to put the Tide inside the 10-yard line.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs would do the rest with an eight-yard touchdown scamper off the left side to tie the contest up at seven.

Twitter exploded with excitement.
