Report Card: Grading Alabama’s excruciating loss to Tennessee

Grading Alabama’s 52-49 loss to the Tennessee Volunteers.

It was a game for the ages in Knoxville on Saturday, and, in an offensive clinic, the Tennessee Volunteers upset the Alabama Crimson Tide, 52-49.

Both teams raced up and down the field to the tune of 101 combined points and more than 1,100 yards of offense.

Despite 17 penalties, [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag] kept the Crimson Tide in the game with his spectacular play and magician-like ability in the pocket to give the Tide a chance to win it at the end, but place kicker Will Reichard’s kick sailed wide right.

On the ensuing possession, Hendon Hooker led the Vols down the field, setting up the game-winning 40-yard field goal as time expired.
