Twitter: @Ahmari_saucy

His impact in 2021: Harvey has tremendous upside as a football player. He saw the field in every way possible for Florida State University High School as a junior. Harvey caught 40 passes for 642 yards and seven touchdowns, along with 94 tackles and six interceptions. He also had a kick return touchdown. Harvey will be behind quality depth such as Bydarrius Knighton and Donovan Kaufman, but because of his raw athleticism, he should find the field in some way in 2021.

National Signing Day: 3 things to know about 4-star S Ahmari Harvey

Here are three things to know about 4-star safety Ahmari Harvey.

Ever since committing to Auburn back in August, Ahmari Harvey has been one of Auburn’s most vocal supporters. The firing of Gus Malzahn took Harvey by surprise and he hinted that things might get interesting on signing day.

However, Harvey decided to stick with his pledge and the 4-star safety is one of Auburn’s top signees.

Here are three things to know about him.

Reactions to Auburn’s Early Signing Day

Twitter wasn’t exactly happy with how Auburn’s 2021 signing class has turned out so far on the first day of the Early Signing Period.

Things today were certainly interesting. The good news is that Auburn managed to sign 12 commits today. The bad news is that the Tigers’ 2021 recruiting class is currently ranked 46th overall nationally. The Tigers have not fallen below the top 25 in recruiting since 2003. Luckily they have plenty of more time to improve before February 3rd.

Early Signing Day is always exciting, especially when it falls on day three of Auburn fans begging the question, “Who is Auburn even going to hire to coach these guys next year?”

Head coaching chaos aside, today was still an exciting day for Auburn fans and future players. I know I’m looking forward to watching each of these guys play in orange and blue. It takes a lot of courage for these young men to sign when the future of a program is uncertain, but hey, that’s when you know these guys love Auburn and are coming for the right reasons.

Let’s get into the reactions from today:

Sad news in addition to this, but redshirt freshman RB Mark Antony Richards has entered the transfer portal. It’s a depressing feeling to see depth leaving at a time like this. We wish him nothing but the best.

Today was not ideal by any means, but these young guys are the future. Take a deep breath, remain calm, and pray that Auburn’s decision makers find the right guy who can build upon this recruiting class, find some offensive linemen and linebackers, and coach these guys up to the standard of Auburn football that we all know and love.

Dematrius Davis headlines strong week from Auburn commits

Several Auburn commits had big games Friday night, but none had bigger than future Tiger quarterback Dematrius Davis.

Several Auburn commits had big games Friday night, but none had bigger than future Tiger quarterback Dematrius Davis.

Davis, a 4-star recruit and the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback nationally in the 247Sports Composite, completed 14 of 20 passes for 197 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also had 78 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

The rushing touchdown, a spectacular 20-yard run, put the game away and is the reason he went viral and drew the praise of NFL star Lamar Jackson.

The Mustangs have won two Class 6A Division I state titles under Davis who is now 38-2 as a starter in high school.

Other notes

Ahmari Harvey, 4-star safety, had another big game for Florida State University School, scoring his second and third touchdowns of the season. He returned his second kickoff for a touchdown and recorded a pick-six, both of which can be watched here, in his team’s 30-14 victory.

Armoni Goodwin didn’t find the endzone this week but had another big day for Hewitt-Trussville. Goodwin, the Tigers highest rated offensive player and fourth best player in Alabama and the No. 93 player in the country, had 12 carries for 126 yards, including a 70-yard carry that set up the deciding field goal in the fourth quarter.

Tar’varish Dawson had a 77-yard touchdown reception in Lehigh Acres 21-16 loss.

Auburn continues to be the favorite to land 4-star defensive end Jeremiah Williams and recently picked up another prediction in their favor, the fourth that favors them. Williams is scheduled to announce his decision on Oct. 10 and has reportedly already made his decision.

Auburn receives commitment from 4-star safety

The Tigers steal one out of Tallahassee.

Another day. Another boom for Gus Malzahn.

On Friday, Auburn received the commitment from 4-star safety Ahmari Harvey over Texas A&M and Florida State. He is the No. 8 safety in the 2021 recruiting class, per 247Sports.

Out of Tallahassee, Harvey is the 177th overall player int he class, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 171 pounds.

From 247Sports scouting report:

Not the biggest defensive back. Should be able to pack on muscle once in college. A natural playmaker with great ball skills that has produced at the high school level. Uses superb leaping ability to his advantage. Not afraid to lower his head and strike a ball carrier in run support. Can work the slot and play man coverage, but looks more relaxed when lined up over the top. Will need to get faster at the next level as he will no longer be the best athlete on the field. Likely a multi-year starter for a Power 5 program with the upside there to develop into an NFL Draft pick.

Georgia Bulldogs among four-star DB Ahmari Harvey’s top schools

The Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, FSU, and more are among four-star DB Ahmari Harvey’s top schools.

The Georgia Bulldogs have landed in the top schools for four-star safety Ahmari  Harvey. Harvey is a talented member of the class of 2021. He’s from Tallahassee, Florida and plays high school football at Florida State University School.

Harvey is considered Kirby Smart and UGA in his top seven. He announced his top schools via Twitter:

Georgia, FSU, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, Penn State, and Auburn all made Harvey’s top seven. Florida and FSU are favored to land the four star.

Harvey will be a member of the class of 2021 to watch moving forward. UGA only has two commits in the class, so Georgia is beginning to focus their recruiting efforts on that class now that National Signing Day for the class of 2020 is over. Will UGA be able to put together another top class in 2021?
