Former Ohio State defensive lineman, Adolphus Washington, has been named the defensive line coach at Cincinnati Colerain High School as reported by WCPO in Cincinnati.

Washington starred for the Buckeyes from 2012-2015, helping the team win the inaugural College Football Playoff national championship over Oregon. Washington was ranked as the No. 1 player in Ohio in the 2012 recruiting class.

A Cincinnati native and product of Taft High School, Washington was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft. Washington spent two-plus seasons with the Bills and another four games with the hometown Bengals in 2018.

Washington is excited for the opportunity to give back to the sport that has given him so much.

“It’s a chance for me to give back knowledge I’ve learned during my journey and for student-athletes to get an advantage on and off the field.” — Adolphus Washington

Washington will add a wealth of knowledge to perennial power Colerain. Colerain boasts seven state semifinal appearances, one state runner-up finish, and one state championship (2004).
