SIGNED: 4-Star WR Aaron Anderson signs with Alabama after decommitting from LSU

WR Aaron Anderson puts pen to paper and is a member of the Crimson Tide!

Alabama’s 2022 recruiting class is growing stronger and is rounding out, as some of the top prospects from across the nation are signing with the Crimson Tide on early National Signing Day.

One strong offensive pickup for Alabama today comes from the state of Louisiana. Aaron Anderson of New Orleans chose the Crimson Tide over various high-profile programs.

What makes this interesting, though, is that Anderson was originally committed to LSU and was going to stay in his home state. He decommitted in October, after being. committed for 10 months to the Tigers.

Anderson stands at 5-foot-9, 185 pounds and will be joining a talented, young wide receiver corps in Tuscaloosa.

Tigers Football Recruiting: Former LSU commit flips to Alabama

Aaron Anderson didn’t go far, as he committed to Alabama on Friday.

Any hope that the LSU Tigers could somehow save the lost pledge from Aaron Anderson seems to have gone out the window. It was likely a longshot anyway.

On Friday night during Senior Night, the former commit Aaron Anderson announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Anderson had been vocal about his displeasure over the firing of Ed Orgeron, stated he was the sole reason for him heading to LSU.

The Louisiana native will now take his talents to Tuscaloosa as part of the Tide’s 2022 recruiting class. Alabama ranked as the No. 2 class in the country, Anderson being one of their 18 current commits. The LSU class dropped to No. 12 in the 247Sports team composite rankings.

The Tigers now only have one commit at wide receiver, Decoldest Crawford. He is a three-star commit from Green Oaks in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Louisiana native Aaron Anderson picks Alabama over LSU

Alabama grabs Friday night commitment from four-star Louisiana WR Aaron Andeson!

During halftime of his high school game, Aaron Anderson committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

A one-time commit to the LSU Tigers, Anderson decided to go with the Tide after the news that LSU head coach Ed Orgeron would be let go following the 2021 season.

When asked about his commitment to Alabama, Anderson said, “We had an agreement on if he leaves, I would be taking my talents to Alabama.”

Alabama currently sits with the topped ranked recruiting class according to On3. Anderson’s commitment gives the Tide 18 total for the class of 2022.

Four-star WR Aaron Anderson has decommitted from LSU

The first domino in recruiting has fallen after the news of the head coach departing the program.

With any story of movement within the coaching ranks, there is always the fallout of current and future players. It is no different for the LSU Tigers and their 2022 recruiting class.

We have already seen one domino fall on Monday. 2022 four-star wide receiver from Edna Karr, Aaron Anderson announced that he has decommitted from the Tigers. According to a report, he wanted to play for LSU because of head coach Ed Orgeron. With the head coach now out for 2022, Anderson will reopen his recruitment.

Anderson is ranked as the No. 11 player in the state of Louisiana and No. 22 wide receiver in the country. Prior to his commitment to the program, it appeared to be down to LSU and Alabama. The next hire will be very important with trying to keep as much of the 2022 class intact as possible.

With his decision, the Tigers fell from No. 9 to No. 12 in the team rankings according to 247Sports.

Georgia football offers scholarship to Aaron Anderson

Saturday, Georgia football made its latest move in the 2022 recruiting class by offering a scholarship to WR Aaron Anderson.

Saturday, 2022 3-star WR Aaron Anderson announced on Twitter that he received a scholarship offer from the University of Georgia.

Anderson (5-10, 187) plays football and runs track at Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a sophomore in 2019, Anderson helped Edna Karr to its fourth-straight Louisiana 4-A state championship.

247Sports has Anderson rated as the No. 53 WR and the No. 15 player in Louisiana. He holds eight scholarship offers from programs like Miami, LSU, USC, Kentucky and now Georgia.

More statistics and rankings will be available after these younger guys play their junior seasons this fall.

The Dawgs have offered class of 2022 wide receiver Aaron Anderson out of Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Anderson is going into his junior year of high school and is already making his name heard as one of the highest recruited receiver in his class.  He stands at 5’7″, 182 lbs and shows incredible agility and after-the-catch ability.

Anderson is currently ranked as the 52nd best receiver in his class and 15th in Louisiana by 247Sports.  He is smaller than the average college receiver, but Anderson’s talent shows a great upside with lots of time left for him to grow.

The Dawgs have also offered the #2 pro-style quarterback Maalik Murphy, the #1 running back Raleek Brown, and the #1 dual-threat quarterback Gunner Stockton, along with a number of other highly rated recruits among the 2022 class.

Georgia currently has no commitments in the 2022 class.
