Notre Dame reportedly offers 2027 Delaware guard Jezelle “GG” Banks

This would be a nice get even if we’d have to wait a while.

[autotag]Hannah Hidalgo[/autotag] is coming off the best season any Notre Dame freshman has had. Given the Irish’s ability to successfully recruit top talent, it wouldn’t be shocking if someone tried to top being named a First Team All-American among other things. It could happen if the Irish get their way.

The Irish reportedly are among three schools who are the latest to extend on offer to Jezelle “GG” Banks, a 2027 guard from Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Delaware:

Banks already has received offers from multiple prominent programs. That tends to happen when you’re named the Gatorade Delaware Girls Basketball Player of the Year. That also tends to happen when you average 22.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 steals a game as a freshman.

Hidalgo would be gone from the Irish by the time Banks arrived, so they wouldn’t get the opportunity to play each other. Still, it would be nice if Hidalgo knew she was leaving the program in good hands with Banks.

Nebraska offers 2027 tight end from California powerhouse

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have offered one of the nation’s top 2027 tight ends.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the latest program to offer 2027 tight end Mark Bowman. On Tuesday, the Huskers extended an offer to the 6-foot-5 Bowman, who attends California powerhouse Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California.

Despite being only a 2027 prospect, Bowman has put together a tremendous offer sheet, including AlabamaFlorida StateGeorgia, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Ohio StateOregonTennesseeTexasUSC, Utah, and Washington.

Bowman appeared in eight varsity games as a freshman. In those eight appearances, he made 11 catches for 125 yards and four touchdowns.

The Cornhuskers currently do not hold any commitments in their 2027 recruiting class. Matt Rhule and the company are currently focused on their 2025 recruiting class, which holds 16 commitments, including picking up a commitment from Texas defensive back Bryson Webber over the weekend.

Oklahoma receives FutureCast for 2027 QB Peyton Houston

Oklahoma gets a prediction to land 2027 QB Peyton Houston.

Fresh off the heels of Oklahoma landing its top target for the quarterback position in the class of 2026, the dominoes have already begun to fall for the Sooners and their recruitment of the QB position for the class of 2027.

On Monday, [autotag]Jaden O’Neal[/autotag], a top-100 player and four-star quarterback from California, announced his commitment to Oklahoma. Oklahoma surged past Miami in the last few months and never looked back as the Sooners got their guy.

It’ll be a few years before O’Neal suits up for the Sooners, but Seth Littrell is already showcasing his ability on the recruiting trail. However, he’s not done yet.

Late Monday evening, Parker Thune of OUInsider issued a FutureCast predicting 2027 quarterback prospect Peyton Houston, out of Louisiana, will ultimately land with the Sooners.

Houston is a dual-threat quarterback. He can make all the throws but also has the athleticism to affect games with his legs. He has the ability to stress defenses by throwing on the run or in the quarterback-run game.

He stands 6-foot-0 already. He camped with Oklahoma this summer and dominated, which led to his offer.

One of his favorite players growing up was Oklahoma’s own Kyler Murray. Since he is from Louisiana, LSU cannot be written off, and Oklahoma will be fighting with the Tigers the whole way. Aside from those two, Miami, Arkansas, Texas, and Tennessee are among the other schools showing interest.

Still, the Sooners have already put themselves in an excellent position for the talented rising sophomore.

Sooners offer Amari and Xavier Sabb, brothers of Michigan transfer Keon Sabb

The Oklahoma Sooners offer Amari and Xavier Sabb, brothers of Michigan transfer Keon Sabb.

The Oklahoma Sooners made a couple of offers today to a family that they’re very familiar with. The Sooners offered Amari Sabb, an athlete in the 2026 recruiting class. His younger brother Xavier Sabb also received an offer and is a wide receiver in the 2027 class.

Neither Amari or Xavier have evaluations yet, but each player has a number of Power Four offers that include Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and other top programs from around the country.

Amari is a dynamic playmaker with elite change of direction ability, often making defenders miss in the open field from both the wide receiver and running back position. He shows good ball skills and tracks the ball well in the air.

Xavier Sabb is an incredibly dynamic player with the ball in his hands. As a kick and punt returner, he displays fantastic ability to change direction, make defenders miss in the open field, and run away from the opposition. Xavier displays great hands and the ability to make plays after the catch, using his size and physicality to break tackles in addition to his elite change of direction. As a freshman, he stands 6-feet tall and already weighs 180 pounds.

Both Amari and Xavier will be impact players at the collegiate level. And as the Oklahoma Sooners get the ball rolling on their 2026 and 2027 either player would be fantastic additions on the offensive side of the ball.

Brent Venables’ familiarity with the Sabb family dates back to the 2022 recruiting cycle when Keon Sabb committed to the Clemson Tigers in July of 2021.

According to 247Sports, Venables and Mickey Conn were his primary recruiters at the time. On December 5, [autotag]Brent Venables[/autotag] was announced as the next head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners. A day later, Keon decommitted from Clemson, ultimately landing with the Michigan Wolverines.

Keon entered the transfer portal on Friday after playing two seasons for the Wolverines at safety. He played 360 snaps this season, including 61 in Michigan’s national championship win over the Washington Huskies. He made five tackles, including two stops, according to Pro Football Focus. Sabb was targeted seven times, allowing three receptions for 28 yards. He earned the second highest grade from Pro Football Focus in the national championship game.

While Oklahoma’s safety room is deep, Brent Venables and his staff won’t shy away from adding more competitive depth.

None of this means the Sooners will add any of the Sabb brothers, but it’s clear there’s interest from Brent Venables and his staff to add Keon, Amari, and Xavier Sabb.

Sooners become one of earliest schools to offer talented 2027 safety Chuck Roberts

Oklahoma is one of the earliest teams to offer 2027 safety Chuck Roberts.

Oklahoma is knee-deep in 2025 and 2026 recruiting. But don’t be fooled, the Sooners also have an eye into the future. They have extended an offer to an exceptional freshman talent out of California.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Oklahoma staff offered Chuck Roberts, a rising sophomore from Bishop Alemany High School. A six-foot, 180-pound safety, Roberts showcases elite football IQ and the ability to play in space and process plays at blazing speed.

For a freshman starting varsity, Roberts earned MaxPreps second-team All-American honors after posting 104 tackles, two sacks, and five pass breakups.

By all accounts, Roberts looks destined to be a future five-star and a national recruit. His growing offer sheet indicates he already has offers from Florida and Arizona.

Roberts also announced plans to transfer to IMG Academy to finish the remainder of his high school career, which will allow him to shine brightest playing a national schedule against some of the best teams in the country.
