Wisconsin football’s full Big Ten and non-conference schedule for 2024-2028

Wisconsin’s full schedule for 2024-2028

Wisconsin had its future Big Ten Conference schedule through 2028 released yesterday.

The Big Ten is set to welcome Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA in 2024, while also eliminating the East-West Division model. A new flex scheduling model will go into effect, with select protected rivalries played by schools each season. The Big Ten calls it the ‘Flex Protect XVIII Model.’

For Wisconsin, those protected rivalries are Iowa and Minnesota. The rest of its schedule each season will rotate on a consistent basis through the rest of the conference.

The rest of the Badgers’ 2023 slate is manageable and should end with a trip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship. A clear takeaway from the schedules listed below is the road is going to get extremely tough.

Here is Wisconsin’s full football schedule for 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028:

Sooners offer 2026 wide receiver Dameon Crowe out of Texas

Dameon Crowe is the latest offer from the Sooners. He’s a 5-foot-6 wide receiver from Richardson, Texas.

The offers continue to pour in for the Oklahoma Sooners following their team camp, this time for a 2026 wide receiver.

Dameon Crowe is the latest offer from the Sooners. He’s a 5-foot-6 wide receiver from Richardson, Texas.

If you turn on the tape, you immediately see his versatility. From the outset, his speed is apparent. Crowe was primarily used in the slot but was also a dynamic punt and kick returner.

In fact, he was named the Texas District 7-6A Offensive Newcomer of the Year as a freshman this past season.

It’s early in his recruitment, but so far, he holds offers from Texas State, North Texas, Arizona State, and the Sooners.

Crowe fits a similar billing as [autotag]Jaquaize Pettaway[/autotag], [autotag]Gracen Harris[/autotag], and [autotag]K.J. Daniels[/autotag]. They aren’t bigger-bodied wide receivers, but it doesn’t matter because their speed is elite.

It’ll be interesting to watch him progress these next three years and build upon a highly impressive freshman season. As he continues to progress, he’ll be even more dynamic on the outside throughout his high school career.

Check out his highlights here:

Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid excited by prospect of 2026 World Cup coming to Kansas City

#Chiefs HC Andy Reid, QB Patrick Mahomes both think it’d be great if Kansas City were named a host city for the 2026 World Cup.

We’ll know shortly whether Kansas City will be one of the several host cities in the United States for the 2026 World Cup, but the excitement is already building within Chiefs Kingdom.

Kansas City was named one of the 17 finalist host sites a little under a month ago. FIFA is set to make an announcement on Thursday, June 16 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Following the conclusion of mandatory minicamp practice on Thursday, Chiefs HC Andy Reid spoke about how great it would be to see the World Cup in Kansas City.

“Yeah, that’d be great,” Reid said. “I like soccer, believe it or not. I know that I’m not built like a soccer player, but I wasn’t built like a quarterback coach either, right? But I enjoy the sport. I have a ton of respect for those guys and the amount of work that goes into it. I know how fond the Hunt family is of soccer and how much it means to them. Then, the city of Kansas City, they love soccer too. We would definitely have a great turnout there.”

Reid isn’t the only soccer fan for the Chiefs, though. The team actually has a pair of MLS franchise owners among them, Clark Hunt with FC Dallas and Patrick Mahomes with Sporting KC.

Mahomes says that he will certainly be among the people turning out to see the World Cup should it come to Kansas City. He expects to see a big turnout from the fans in the area too.

“Dude, it would be awesome (to have the World Cup in Kansas City),” Mahomes said. “I was talking to Brittany (Mahomes) yesterday — I’m going to be at like every one of those games I possibly can be at if they do get them here. I know Kansas City and I know how much they love soccer. I mean, you see it with Sporting KC and how they sell out almost every game. And then, with The Current know in Sporting stadium, they’re bringing in these huge crowds. So you know that Kansas City loves that sport and I think if we get that bid, we’ll be selling out Arrowhead, Sporting, the Current’s stadium whenever it gets built up. I’ll be at every single one of them.”

Texas adds three future football games to its schedule

Texas added three different future home games, scheduling games in 2022, 2023, and 2026. They will face ULM, Wyoming, and Texas State.

Texas added three different future home games on Thursday afternoon, scheduling games in 2022, 2023, and 2026. The Longhorns will face the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) on Sept. 3, 2022, Wyoming on Sept. 16, 2023, and Texas State on Sept. 5, 2026.

With all three at home, these games complete the non-conference schedule for Texas that season. For the big Power 5 opponent games those years, the Longhorns will do a home and home series with Alabama in 2022 and 2023 and will be traveling to Columbus, OH in 2026 to face the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Texas is a combined 7-0 in their history against the teams scheduled, with the most wins coming against Wyoming. A career 5-0 against the Cowboys, their most recent matchup came in 2012 in Austin. Winning that game 37-10, all five wins have come by at least two touchdowns for the Longhorns.

Between Texas State and ULM, Texas is 1-0 against both schools. Playing ULM last time they won in the Big 12 in 2009, it was a blowout 59-20 win in Austin. As for Texas State, it has been since 1930 since the Bobcats and Longhorns have faced each other.
