An offer leads to a Notre Dame visit for 2025 offensive lineman

A very good development post offer for the Irish

The Irish and Georgia offensive lineman Peyton Joseph are having quiet the ride this Saturday. First, Joseph was offered a scholarship as he has just completed his freshman year of varsity football, impressive in it’s own right. The six-foot-four-inch and 280-pound lineman showed enough on tape for the Marcus Freeman and offensive line coach Harry Hiestand to pull the trigger on an offer.

Next, Joseph wanted to continue the relationship with Freeman and Hiestand, announcing that he will be making an unofficial visit to South Bend next month starting on June 4th. It was a whirlwind of events for the rising high school sophomore, but one that bodes well for the Irish.

It’s been a very impressive month for Joseph, gaining offers from not only the Irish but Georgia and Ole Miss as well. With a visit on tap for the Irish, they only hope to establish a long lasting relationship with the young offensive lineman.

Freshman get’s Notre Dame offer after impressive first high school season

He did what as a freshman?

The most important position on the football field is the quarterback and finding a great one is always the focus of many teams recruiting goals. Well, the Irish are ahead of boat on one of the most recent offers, as they verbally gave Michigan quarterback Bryce Jay Underwood an offer.

Underwood just recently finished his freshman year at Bellwood High School, but it was a wildly successful one. He threw for 3,000-yards and 39-touchdowns while leading them to a state title. That kind of success as a freshman will get plenty of eyes on a recruit, especially one that was named MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year.

It is super early in Underwood’s career but he surely has the attention of the Irish and most likely other schools will soon be trying to get in contact with the rising sophomore.

Texas Adds San Jose State to the 2025 Schedule

Texas completed its 2025 non-conference schedule, adding San Jose State on September 5. It now completes the schedule for that season.

Texas completed its 2025 non-conference schedule today, announcing that they will be hosting San Jose State on September 5. Adding that game, it now completes the schedule for that season, as the Longhorns will also face UTEP at home while traveling to Ohio State to begin the season.

The Spartans have only played Texas once in their history and it came in Tom Herman’s first season as a head coach. The Longhorns shut San Jose State out 56-0, securing the first win in the Herman era.

With the game nearly five years out, nobody knows what these two programs will look like when they face. Currently for the Spartans, they have not had a winning season since 2012 and have lost at least seven games six years in a row. If San Jose State continues on the same path, it should be an easy victory for Texas in the non-conference.
