Florida lands commitment from 4-star Peach State IOL

Florida landed a commitment from four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph on Sunday, bringing the 2025 class up to four.

Houston County (Fort Valley, Georgia) interior offensive lineman [autotag]Peyton Joseph[/autotag] committed to the University of Florida on Sunday, picking the Gators over Florida State, Georgia Tech and Tennessee, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

“Mostly talking with coach Napier and Sales led me to commit because they have shown great program development,” Joseph said. “UF is on the way to the top, and I feel like as a player I would love to be a part of the process.”

Joseph is the fourth player to commit to Florida’s 2025 recruiting class. He joins four-star running back Waltez Clark, four-star defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins and three-star wide receiver Josiah Abdullah.

Florida hosted Joseph on campus over the recent contact period. Offensive line coach Rob Sale has been his main point of contact on the team. Former Florida assistant Darnell Stapleton was also involved in his recruitment, but he has since departed from the program.

Joseph is a consensus four-star recruit, ranked highest by 247Sports at No. 107 overall in the class of 2025. The On3 industry ranking, which considers all four major recruiting services, puts him at No. 123 nationally and No. 5 among interior offensive linemen in the class.

Florida earns crystal ball prediction for blue-chip OL

Florida is the favorite to land one of the top interior offensive linemen in the recruiting class of 2025, Peyton Joseph, per 247Sports.

The Florida Gators are the favorites to land Warner Robins (Houston County, Georgia) four-star interior offensive lineman [autotag]Peyton Joseph[/autotag], according to 247Sports’ Blake Alderman, who submitted a crystal ball prediction in favor of UF on Friday.

Joseph visited The Swamp during the recent contact period and is now down to UF, FSU, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee.

“We know there is a good bit of confidence in Gainesville on where Florida stands in Joseph’s recruitment,” Alderman wrote. “A few other finalists also feel UF is where Joseph is leaning as well to our knowledge.”

Joseph will announce his decision on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. ET.

Gators make big impression on 4-star OL with impending decision date

The Gators have an inside edge on this coveted offensive lineman ahead of his mid-February commitment date.

The end of the college football recruiting contact period wrapped up this past weekend but not before Florida could get a coveted blue-chip prospect on campus before his impending final pick.

Four-star inside offensive lineman [autotag]Peyton Joseph[/autotag] out of Warner Robins (Georgia) Houston County in the 2025 cycle stopped in Gainesville on Saturday for his final campus visit ahead of his Feb. 18 decision deadline. The 6-foot-4-inch, 305-pound high school junior had a great trip, in his own words.

“The trip was great,” Joseph told Swamp247. “I learned more about the academic program. Loving the way the coaches are building their team and developing their players there at UF. The culture of the school is amazing. It’s been a big push for me to be a part of the program, but there are multiple schools pushing for me, which doesn’t make any list or anything before the (commitment date). All schools are still in the loop with the commitment.”

The other programs pushing hard for the Peach State product are the Michigan Wolverines, Tennessee Volunteers, Miami Hurricanes, LSU Tigers, Florida State Seminoles and Penn State Nittany Lions. These schools plus Florida represent his de facto finalists, with the rest of them hosting him on campus before he visited the Gators.

The offensive line coaching duo of Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton appears to be a big selling point for the four-star trench warrior

“The relationships have always been strong,” Joseph said. “They are great coaches, but they’re even more great men to be around. Those two guys are straight-up guys. They are someone you would wanna be around you. Sometimes you need coaches who don’t talk recruitment. They talk as if you was already playing there.”

Joseph is ranked No. 121 overall and No. 4 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 123 and 5, respectively. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Gators a commanding 94.2% chance of signing him.

Blue-chip 2025 OT narrows top schools to 7, includes Florida

The Gators are among the early finalists for this four-star OL in the 2025 cycle.

Now that Florida football’s 2023 campaign is over and done, it is time once again to turn our collective attention toward the recruiting trail, where Billy Napier and Co. will be focusing a great deal of effort over the coming months.

While much of the news surrounding the Gators has covered the players departing the program following its third-straight losing season, there have been some bright spots as well.

Among those positive points was an announcement by four-star offensive lineman [autotag]Peyton Joseph[/autotag] out of Fort Valley (Georgia) Houston County in the 2025 class, who offered up his top seven schools on Sunday via Twitter. Among those mentioned were the Orange and Blue, as well as the Florida State Seminoles, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, Penn State Nittany Lions and Tennessee Volunteers.

Joseph is ranked No. 114 overall and No. 4 at interior offensive lineman nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 120 and 6, respectively. The Georgia Bulldogs lead the way on On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 31.5% chance of signing him, followed by FSU (27.6%), the Alabama Crimson Tide (21.1%) and Florida (10.1%).

Auburn offers lineman from class of 2025

The Tigers are looking towards the far future with this offer.

The Auburn Tigers are looking ahead.

Although the 2022 class is likely the most prominent on its mind, Auburn isn’t shying away from sending out offers for the far future. The Tigers have offered 2025 offensive lineman recruit Peyton “Big P” Joseph out of Fort Valley, Georgia. Auburn’s offer is Joseph’s eighth offer and his third SEC offer, with Georgia and Ole Miss offering him as well.

The 2025 recruiting class is so far out that Joseph doesn’t even have a rating yet. He will have a little more time to hone his craft before he starts going on visits and gets his ratings, but the Tigers clearly believe in him enough to hand him an offer this early in the recruiting cycle.

Joseph is the ninth player that Auburn has offered for the 2025 class and the second offensive lineman. The offers are so far more focused on the defense, with five defensive offers to four offensive offers, but this all has time to change — 2025 is a long way out, and although Auburn hasn’t seen these players play too much high school football, any school would seem to believe on the raw talent of these recruits by giving them an offer so early on in the process.

An offer leads to a Notre Dame visit for 2025 offensive lineman

A very good development post offer for the Irish

The Irish and Georgia offensive lineman Peyton Joseph are having quiet the ride this Saturday. First, Joseph was offered a scholarship as he has just completed his freshman year of varsity football, impressive in it’s own right. The six-foot-four-inch and 280-pound lineman showed enough on tape for the Marcus Freeman and offensive line coach Harry Hiestand to pull the trigger on an offer.

Next, Joseph wanted to continue the relationship with Freeman and Hiestand, announcing that he will be making an unofficial visit to South Bend next month starting on June 4th. It was a whirlwind of events for the rising high school sophomore, but one that bodes well for the Irish.

It’s been a very impressive month for Joseph, gaining offers from not only the Irish but Georgia and Ole Miss as well. With a visit on tap for the Irish, they only hope to establish a long lasting relationship with the young offensive lineman.
