2025 OL prospect Jackson Christian commits to Texas

Texas finds a 6-foot-5, 309-pound lineman in the 2025 class.

The Texas Longhorns have added a big human to their 2025 recruiting class. Port Neches Groves offensive lineman Jackson Christian has committed to Texas.

The three-star recruit meets offensive line coach Kyle Flood’s criteria for frame on the offensive line. At 6-foot-5 and weighing over 300 pounds, Christian possesses the requisite size to move defensive fronts at the next level. Now he will look to develop the skill necessary to make an impact down the line in his college career.

Christian has high stakes experience after contributing to Port Neches Groves’ state championship victory over South Oak Cliff last season. Whether or not it is part of the recruiting criteria, playing for a title at any level could prove valuable down the road.

The offensive lineman’s highlight reel is impressive. The clips show Christian taking opponents out of the play. He will look to do more of that at the next level.

Christian ranks as the No. 30 interior offensive lineman in the country in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Texas football ranks Top 10 in On3 Sports’ 2025 industry recruiting rankings

The ‘Horns look poised for another top recruiting class in 2025.

Texas recruiting is in a good spot early on in the 2025 recruiting class. The Longhorns rank No. 8 in the class for On3 Sports’ industry rankings with room for improvement.

Highly regarded Saraland (AL) quarterback KJ Lacey headlines a class that includes top tight end Emaree Wilson, elite defensive lineman Lance Jackson, Florida defensive lineman Brandon Brown and Pearland (TX) linebacker Anthony Williams.

Perhaps the Longhorns’ top target for the class is wide receiver Dakorien Moore who is committed to the LSU Tigers. LSU currently owns the No. 1 class according to On3. Even so, the Longhorns are in a better position for other in-state targets. The team is looking to further build the class.

For Texas to reach its class ceiling, it will need to start winning over more of the top in-state players. One player appears to trend toward the Longhorns in Conroe (TX) cornerback Dorian Brew.

With Texas having made a College Football Playoff berth last season, the ‘Horns don’t have as difficult a task to sell the team’s vision. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and company have already shown they can compete at a high level nationally.

There’s plenty of time before the class crosses the finish line, but the program is off to a promising start. They will look to make a push for another Top 10 class in 2025.

LSU takes over No. 1 spot in On3’s 2025 recruiting rankings after Bryce Underwood commitment

The Tigers now hold commitments from the top quarterback, running back and receiver in the 2025 class.

LSU already had the makings of a very strong class. After landing top quarterback and No. 1 overall prospect [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] on Saturday, it now has the potential to be one of the Tigers’ best signing classes ever, if Brian Kelly can keep it together.

With the commitment of the Belleville, Michigan, prospect, LSU now has commitments from the top quarterback as well as No. 1 running back ([autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag]) and No. 1 receiver ([autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag]) in the 2025 class.

As shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, that group is good enough to give the Tigers the No. 1 class in America, per the On3 industry team rankings.

LSU’s eight-man class also features four four-star commits, including linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag].

There’s a lot of time between now and early signing day for the 2025 class, and the Tigers will have their work cut out for them to keep this group together. But if they can, it’s a potential national championship-caliber class.

Where does LSU rank in the way-too-early 2025 recruiting class?

Has LSU’s success on the field and the recruiting trail carried over into the 2025 class?

The LSU Tigers just wrapped up the early signing period for the 2024 recruiting class. The Tigers are currently ranked as the No. 11 class by 247Sports and the No. 9 class according to On3. We won’t know who will be signing this year until February when the final national signing day rolls around.

With all of that being said, where do the Tigers rank currently in the 2025 recruiting class? Has LSU’s success on the field and the recruiting trail carried over into the 2025 class? For now, I would say that it has. LSU currently has the No. 7 recruiting class for 2025 according to 247Sports.

The 2025 class currently has six commitments, headlined by five-star wide receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] from Texas and four-star linebacker [autotag]Keylan Moses[/autotag] out of University Lab High School in Baton Rouge. As soon as the last recruit from the 2024 class signs, all attention will be placed on the 2025 class as they head into their senior seasons.

LSU’s 2025 class moves into top 5 with Dakorien Moore’s commitment

The Tigers’ are off to a very nice start in the 2025 cycle.

It’s still very early in the 2025 recruiting cycle, which won’t officially begin for a few more months. But LSU got a huge early boost for the class by landing five-star 2025 receiver [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag] on Saturday.

The Duncanville, Texas, prospect joined his high school teammate in [autotag]Caden Durham[/autotag], a 2024 running back who committed to the Tigers on Thursday.

With Moore on board, LSU has its highest-rated commitment in the 2025 class so far. Moore ranks as the No. 5 player in the country according to 247Sports’ rankings, and he sits at No. 11 in the site’s industry composite rankings.

After that addition, LSU’s class ranks fifth nationally per 247Sports and fourth according to On3.

Moore joins a class that also features a pair of legacies in four-star offensive lineman [autotag]Brett Bordelon[/autotag] and four-star tight end [autotag]JD LaFleur[/autotag], as well as three-star cornerback [autotag]Jaylen Bell[/autotag].
